46 Chapter 46. A month passes

Ahmn... Ugh...

A series of groans sounded from Leo as his eyes slowly opened. He saw that he was lying on his bed in the grand elder's house. After forcing his eyes to move despite the heaviness and fatigue, Leo saw Aurora, looking at him concernedly with her two beady innocent purple eyes.

"Hey," Leo weakly spoke as he forced himself to a seating position.

Immediately, Aurora rushed and pulled him into a giant big hug as she began sobbing up as she almost inaudibly cried, "you idiot! Don't you ever do that to me ever again! I thought you were not going to wake up ever again!"

Leo shook for a few seconds as he froze in amazement.

I must have been such a burden to her, he thought as he also raised his arms and hugged her back.

"I'm sorry," Leo slowly spoke as he closed his eyes for the moment. The warm embrace of Aurora had slowly sucked his tiredness and fatigue away like a leech as a comfortable began to fill his body.

Ahem!

A short cough sounded from the other end of the room and as Leo raised his head, he saw that the voice was from Alfred who was standing at the door. A bright smile appeared on Leo's face as he happily waved at him.

"Aurora, why don't you take a break for now? I'll take care of Leo," Alfred spoke as he entered the room.

But as he got closer, he did not receive an answer from Aurora. Confused, Leo slowly broke his hands free and checked on Aurora. Her beautiful eyes had closed as a slight breath of wind was slowly inhaled and exhaled from her nose. A satisfied smile appeared on Leo's face again as he pulled Aurora closer and placed her beside him on the bed as he covered her with the white blanket that had covered him.

"She's fallen asleep, she must be really tired," Leo spoke with a smile as he stroked her hair with satisfaction.

"Of course she would be, you kept her busy for a whole month," Alfred spoke with a 'you owe her' expression on his face.

"What? A whole month," Leo asked in amazement as he looked at Aurora blankly as guilt and embarrassment filled him.

"I really do owe her a lot... Tell me what happened after I lost consciousness," Leo suddenly spoke as he also laid down on the bed, propping his head up with a pillow that he took from the side of his body.

"When I got there, you were already down with Wade and Acul lying next to you as blood slowly flowed out of their mouths. The Weaver clan members ran out to retrieve the bodies but the skies suddenly turned dark and red lightning began falling. The weird thing about it was that it all struck you. I ran to try and retrieve you but the lightning began striking me like it had a conscience. Luckily, Aurora dragged me away and we were forced to wait for a whole fifteen minutes. And in the end, your body was badly injured but you had Aurora by your side and she managed to stabilize your situation."

"Woah... What happened to the Weaver clan?" Leo suddenly asked anxiously.

"Haha! Easy there. There's nothing to worry about, the clan is done for. That clan has no future anymore. You had taken out their main powerhouse, they are living on reputation now," Alfred replied with a slight laugh as hidden happiness spurted in his heart at Leo's concern for the clan.

"I see. Well then, I should rest up for now," Leo lazily spoke as he stretched his body.

"Ok, I'll leave you for now. Rest well, I'll go back to Lex," Alfred waved goodbye as he stood up and walked out of the room.

Seeing Alfred leave, Leo suddenly closed his eyes and immediately went to his mind space.

He immediately walked over to the impartation hall and checked up on Aurora's status.

Curious, Leo leaned in closer and read the description on the 'Custom fusion art' label.

Custom arts rely on the mastery of the first two arts for strength. Many arts can be used to create a custom fusion art but it is harder to execute.
