4 Chapter 4. The Myriad Nether Mansion

Tweet! Tweet!

The early hungry call of sparrow brought the silently sleeping land to life as they stood on the rooftops of houses, looking for their morning meals. The shy sun slowly crept out of the dark green hill in the far horizon and as it rose its rays brought everything that they touched to life. The golden rays secretly shone through the gaps between the windows on the Areia house, shining directly onto Leo's eyes, forcing him to wake up.

Everything about today was the same. Getting up, washing, eating breakfast. Everything was as it should be. Until suddenly, in the afternoon a "crack" sound appeared in his mind as his body was suddenly lit with an electric shocklike feeling.

Worried, Leo urgently went to his mind space and investigated. He was sure that nothing was wrong with him and that this could only have come from his mind space. What he saw as soon as he got there was a clustered clump of radiant rainbows surrounding the mansion like a magical halo. The mansion was now completely solid, it's wall now painted with dark red and it's doors, a majestic dark oak wood color. Still unsure of what had happened, he slowly and cautiously walked towards the mansion he walked to the golden smooth stairs that led to the giant dark brown door.

For almost 3 years now, he had tried countless times to walk up to the majestic behemoth doors that looked like they contained the secrets of the universe but each attempt ended in failure and he always seemed invisible as his leg passed through the step and onto the ground under the stairs, he had never managed to step on the flight of stairs.

However, today with the crack sound that originated from his mind space, Leo knew that something must have happened so he walked forward and decided to try again with not much hope.

*step*

'eh?'

'This feels solid'

As Leo looked down at his foot he saw that his foot was on the first step on the golden stairway. This left him shocked and relieved, three years of attempting to climb these stairs and all it took was a crack and he actually managed to take a step on the stair and not go through it.

Another sudden revelation struck him as he realized, 'this must mean that the mansion is done building.'

A huge surging explosion of happiness impulsed through Leo's toddler body as he let out a heart-filled celebratory scream of complete joyfulness in his mind space.

'I can't wait to check this place out,' Leo thought as he excitedly made his hurriedly way to the doors and quickly pushed the gigantic dark oak doors open with a loud creak.

And what greeted him was a huge white marbled atrium with seven similar designed white marbled hallways that were enclosed by doors halfway through the hallway, of which only two were open. However, Leo's attention was immediately fixed at the middle of the atrium as there was a large holographic image of what looked like a large map of this mansion and on the top of the image was a bold title on the top written in a glowing red font that read, "Myriad Nether Mansion".

"Myriad Nether Mansion... That must be the name of this mansion. Wow, not such a shabby name, turns out that the old man was actually good at something" said Leo as he silently ridiculed God. As Leo slowly made his way closer to read the giant vertical map, he realized that the map only revealed what was contained in the two only opened hallways to him.

Intrigued, he began to walk faster and closer to the map and as he got even closer, he could read the names of all the seven marble hallways in front of him:

Unsealing, training, library, talent, impartation, occupation, treasure hallway. The first two hallways were written in a glowing wispy white font indicating that they were the already pre-opened hallways and the rest were written in boring bold black font, Indicating that it was still closed.

After he read this, his already good mood seemed to have been enhanced to a higher level as he realized the names of the two hallways that were opened, 'unsealing' and 'training.' Could this mean that he could possibly train now and not have to wait another year?

Unable to wait to stop his excitement from getting the better of him, he joyfully walked while casually whistling towards the Unsealing hallway.

However, just as he was about to go inside the hallway, a wave of weakness instantly hit him, causing him to suddenly blackout of consciousness and was unwillingly forced to be brought back to reality.

'Eh?' Leo thought as he opened his eyes to see a boring plain thatch room.

Immediately, realizing that he had been sent out of the mansion due to his mental strength, Leo's previously joyful mood suddenly turn the other way round as he grumpily grumbled, "Damn it, I don't have the mental strength to stay in there long enough yet. I was so close to finally getting my strength unsealed. Gah!!!! Wait a minute why did I get sent out? No, that can't be because of my mental strength, I've spent a much longer time inside there before... Maybe the mansion is doing its final touches before it officially opens. Either way, I now know that I can enter the mansion! I'll check it out again tonight."

And thus Leo forced himself up and out of bed, he had been training his killing intent for the whole afternoon until the crack so he now had to go down and help out. Today, Ava had evening shift at the library so Leo decided to follow her to help. It seemed like Leo was still in a good mood as even Ava managed to suddenly sense this sudden wave of happiness from her son. Wonder where it could come from, she thought that it was from the news of her pregnancy so she herself was also inevitably influenced by little Leo's joyfulness as she herself could not help but show a warm tender caring smile.

Life in the village was indeed extremely blissful and very wholesome although this little isolated village was unfairly poor, the people in the village were extremely rich in kindness. Each villager loved their neighbors and thus making life in this village not so bad, turning a pitiful status life into almost a mini paradise, and Leo couldn't help but form a loving and unbreakable caring bond for this village and its villagers.

'If only the people of Earth had loved each other like the people in this village' he helplessly thought as he was reminded of the day of his death and the bullies.

Sigh…

I'm sure life there would also be blissful and my brother probably wouldn't have been bullied.

Maybe I wouldn't have died…

Anyhow that's my past life, I need to concentrate on this life.
