37 Chapter 37. Treasure Hunt?

"Hmm... I wonder... What would be the best way to do this?" Leo spoke to himself as he began to think.

'I could hang them up onto a large wooden sign'

'or I could just throw them to the Weaver clan head'

'Haha! I have the perfect thing!'

An extremely mischievous smile appeared of Leo's face as he alone walked and made his way to the clan field.

"Clan head! A bring bad news!" a messenger walked urgently as he had fear written on his face accompanied by heaps of sweat on his forehead.

"Haha! How could you disturb me while I'm happily feasting with all these people?" the clan head laughed heartily as he sipped another glass of wine, not giving any attention to the messenger.

"Sir, I beg you, sir. Please read it, it is from your head defense guard," the messenger pleaded as he fell on his knees.

Hearing this, the Weaver clan head's mood seemed to flip as he immediately became serious and concerned, he turned around back at the people that he was drinking with and said farewell, "A clan problem has come up. Please excuse me."

He then quickly walked to a quiet area where there was no one around and he looked solemnly at the messenger before telling him to speak.

"Clan head, it's regarding your secret plot to abduct the girl," the messenger spoke carefully so that he did not incur the wrath of the clan head in any way.

"What about it?" the clan head asked forebodingly.

"Sir, we have not gotten any information from them in the past fifteen minutes," the messenger warily spoke as he subconsciously retreated a step back in fear.

The Weaver clan head's body shook in fear and shock as an extremely fearful and worried expression appeared on his face as he concernedly asked, "Where are they right now?"

"That's the problem, sir, the tracking talisman of two of the people in the group have stopped working and we cannot see them anymore."

"Do you guys have any idea what the hell is happening?!"

"We can't tell sir, but the rest of them are slowly making their way back, they seem to have split up."

"I see... It's not that bad, they are probably distracted with something, maybe there was an elder around so they couldn't communicate," said the clan head as he shook it off as a trivial matter and began to walk off.

"Clan head, that's not the worst news," the messenger added in a weak unconfident voice, stopping the clan head from advancing.

"What?" the clan head confusedly asked. Suddenly, a wave of realization hit him as an extremely worried look appeared on his face, "How is my son doing?"

"One of the people whose talismans stopped working was your son," the messenger spoke out fearfully as he retreated a couple of steps back.

"Where is the group now?!" the Weaver clan head asked in an urgent tone as panicky-ly looked at the messenger.

"Sir, last I heard from the main branch was that they are moving here. The man that you sent to protect and guide Dan is making his way here and he should be near the field entrance now," the messenger immediately responded shakily as worry flooded his mind. If the clan head were to flip out in anger, then the messenger knew the situation and how dangerous it would be.

"We are leaving now!" the clan head shouted as he immediately walked out, heading straight for the Decan clan's field entrance.

As they arrived, they saw that a large crowd was currently gathered around the entrance of the clan field.

"What going on?" the Weaver clan head curiously asked.

"I don't know sir," the messenger replied.

"I don't have time for this. Everyone move out!" the Weaver clan head shouted as he fought his way through the crowd and into the front.

As he eventually broke past the thick barrage of people, he saw what was grabbing their attention. The head of the group, the man that was supposed to take care of his son was in sitting on a chair in an extremely awkward position as he had a leg on the hands of the chair and he was loudly snoring. But what caught their attention the most was the clothes that the man was wearing, he was wearing a tight pink shirt and an extremely short white skirt, revealing his hairy arms and legs as he sat there comfortably dozing off.

"What the hell?" the clan head thought to himself as he walked forward to check up on the man.

"Sire, he's been put into a deep sleep by art of some sort," the messenger walked forward and examine the man.

"Can you wake him up now?" the Weaver clan head asked curiously.

"No sir, this art is looked to be black rank. I do not have the power to, we will have to wait until the effects wear off," the messenger disappointedly replied.

"What is going on here?" Aron's voice sounded as he appeared from the crowd. As he walked out, he saw that the Weaver clan head and the messenger were next to the man. Unable to restrain himself he jokingly laughed, "Haha! Wade, are you here to give us a show? If so, then that man seems to have gotten the attention of everyone."

"We are not related to this guy," Wade coldly replied as he immediately distanced himself from the man.

Seeing Wade back off, Aron made his way forward and examined the man, "Interesting, there's a note in his back pocket," he surprisedly spoke as he reached for the man's left skirt pocket and pulled out a brown paper note that had a message written on it.

"Haha! This note says, 'To be read to everyone,' Let me do the honors!" Aron laughed as he began loudly reading the message to the whole crowd.

"Treasure hunt time! Entertainment for all except one! Follow the directions to get your final reward! Be careful, don't wake them up, or else it will all go downhill. Your first instructions are to head to the clan arena."

Having been told this, the crowd immediately gained life and excitement as they began to discuss among themselves what the reward could possibly be.

"Everyone! I'm sure that you are all as curious as I am!" Aron spoke out loud enough so that everyone could hear him, "This was not planned by us at all so I think that we should make our way there as a group."

The crowd all subconsciously agreed as they followed behind Aron who was leading the group towards the arena.

"Master, they are gone, what do we do with him?" the messenger asked curiously as his gaze fell on the loudly snoring man.

"The bastard! He dares to humiliate me in front of such a crowd! I will get back at him!" Wade punched the ground in anger as he roared angrily.

"Master, I think we should also go to the arena, The note that the Decan clan's headed read said that this so-called treasure hunt would be entertainment for all but one. And he also said that this was completely unplanned, this is our only clues to finding your son, we should go and follow. The people that put this man in this deep sleep must be the people who set this up," the messenger suggested as he kept his head low, not wanting to meet the gaze of the Weaver clan head.

"Ok then, we will go with your plan," Wade spoke boldly as he turned towards the arena and walked fast to catch up with the crowd.

'I'm getting an incredibly bad feeling from this,' Wade thought as a small droplet of sweat appeared on his neck.

"Take the body and let him get some rest, I will go by myself from here," Wade spoke as he dismissed the messenger.

"Certainly sir, I will take my leave now then," the messenger clasped his hands and bowed and immediately put the man on his shoulder and carried him off, in the direction of the Decan clan entrance.

...

"Phew! Finally done! I can't wait for them all to be found out now!" Leo let out a satisfied sigh of relief as he wiped the wall of sweat on his forehead that formed from his hard work.

"This is such a masterpiece! I can't wait to see the look on the Weaver clan's face, haha! It's very fortunate that the sun has not set yet so they can easily navigate around their way," Leo laughed happily as he turned around back at the main clan area.

"Oh well, I need to go and see grandfather now, I need to inform him about this. Aurora said she would prefer to stay home and not wake Lex up," Leo spoke to himself as he made his way towards the clan field where his grandfather was venturing.
