33 Chapter 33. Seven pink-grade affinities

"Huh? Isn't it the Decan clan's turn. How did a girl with a different surname get a turn? And it right after the clan head's son as well,"

"What's going on? Did the officiators get a name mixed up?"

Whispers of confusion sounded among the crowd as they sat there clueless about the situation.

The crowd was left in confusion as they couldn't find an answer.

"Wellbloom… There's no clan in Sapphire city called Wellbloom."

As the crowd grew more confused, the Decan clan head stood up from his chair and walked to the edge and looked down at the arena and the spectators.

Seeing the scene get really hectic, the Decan clan head stood up, and the crowd immediately quietened down as Aron was someone that they could not afford to offend.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I can understand that you are very confused about this situation," said the clan head in a relaxed unhurried tone as he continued, "the officiators have not made a mistake, the next two children are supposed to be in this test. Please quiet down. They are added to this test because the grand elder of the Decan clan said so. Please continue," Aron signaled for the Migi and Eren to continue.

"Ahem!" Alfred let out a light but loud cough to gain the crowds' attention, after seeing most of the heads slowly pan towards him, he stood up and loudly declared, "this is no mistake. I have personally asked the officiators to add these names."

"What?!"

"Did you just hear that?! The grand elder of the Decan clan just spoke up for them!"

"What is their relationship with the elder?"

Exclamations of amazement and disbelief appeared from the crowds as they became even more curious about Aurora's identity.

"This is my adopted granddaughter, Aurora Wellbloom. And after her name is called, my blood grandson will come up, Leon Areia," Alfred loudly announced.

Hearing this, the crowd had gone completely bonkers as countless thoughts filled their minds.

"QUIET!" Migi shouted, instigating authority and silence back on to the arena and the whole arena began eagerly waiting for this so-called 'Aurora.'

Meanwhile, Aurora was still sitting down on the arena, her hands tightly gripping her shirt nervously as she suddenly recognized the attention that would be fixed on her if she did walkout.

"Are you sure I should be going up?" Aurora asked nervously as she felt the pressure of all eyes that would be on her if she stood up.

"Yep, go and make that Wallace regret making that deal with you," Leo replied with a warm and confident smile.

Receiving Leo's approval, Aurora calmly walked out to the crystal and took a deep breath as she slowly proceeded to place her dainty white hands on the crystal.

Another deadly suspense eerily descended as everyone's butt tightly clenched as they stare Aurora in extreme anticipation.

A few seconds passed and immediately the crystal shone with an extremely blinding light and as it dimmed down slightly, a beautiful chaotic scenery appeared on the crystal. A large completely pink world appeared, a tall temple surrounded by a ball of fire and a tornado as musical sounds resonated from the ground, and on the sky was a large rain cloud as rain and lightning fell from the skies along with a beautiful snowstorm.

"What is heck is this!? Why is the whole thing pink!?"

"What are we even seeing!? There are six affinities there-no, wait- I see snow as well!"

The crowd broke out once again in amazement this time it was enough to almost explode their brain.

Eupheme stood up from a corner of the arena in amazement as an extremely shocked appeared on his face as his eyes keenly concentrated on the crystal.

"Is this really what I think it is?!" Eupheme curiously spoke to himself as he amazedly gazed at the beautiful chaotic scene in the crystal.

A few seconds passed again and the beautiful golden heavenly halos appeared. Nine beautiful halos appeared inside the crystal dispersed all over the scene.

Eren had an extremely shocked expression on his face as he looked at the crystal in amazement. Nevertheless, he had to do his job so he forced his shock-paralyzed body and walked over to the crystal to confirm the results.

The whole world seemed to want to know Aurora's results as the nobles all stood up in amazement as they tightly gripped their seats waiting for Eren to declare the results. Even the clan elder were all stood in amazement and disbelief as they all attentively looked at Aurora with great interest.

Swosh! One of the sect elders suddenly disappeared from the scene as he immediately ran out of the arena.

"Oh no! I have to leave now or else the other sect will get this gemstone," each of them thought as they all disappeared from their seats.

"Two-ringed pink fire affinity! Two-ringed pink earth affinity! One-ringed pink wind affinity! One-ringed pink wind affinity! One-ringed pink sound affinity! One-ringed pink lightning affinity! One-ringed pink snow affinity!" Eren loudly announced and finalized Aurora's results.

"WHAAAAAAAAAT?!?!" a loud scream sounded from everyone in the arena.

"HUH? Did I hear it wrong?"

"He said snow?! Is snow even an affinity?!"

The crowd blew up in screams and shouts of amazement. The city had never seen a talent of this caliber, of course, they would overreact. The highest talent that they had ever witnessed in the history of Sapphire city was a nine-ringed gold affinity and yet, today, the record had been broken an adopted granddaughter called Aurora.

"Sapphire city has never seen a pink grade affinity before!"

"Are you stupid?! Sapphire city has never seen seven affinities able to co-exist in a person's body!"

While the situation in the arena was blowing up, the atmosphere in the noble's seating section was in total disarray.

They all jumped in amazement as they heard Aurora's talent being announced. The face of the Weaver clan head's face was most ugly among all the clan heads.

A pink grade affinity… This was a talent that was rare even in the whole empire and it somehow ended up in a little girl whose face was covered by a veil. And to make matters worse, she also had seven separate affinities this was completely unheard of in the whole history of the empire. If news of this broke out, it was unavoidable that every sect in the empire would try and recruit her, she might even get admitted into sects from outside the empire if lucky. This had completely stolen his son's spotlight and so his mood became particularly ugly as anger and dissatisfaction appeared on his face.

This was horrible news for the clans in Sapphire City as they all constantly competed for power and the rule of Sapphire City.

"Hahaha. Wow, amazing. I cannot believe that Grand Elder has such good luck, it was an extremely good choice to take Aurora in as your granddaughter," laughed out Aron as he was filled with happiness. When his son got a six-ringed gold affinity, he was happy but was still quite uncomfortable as the difference between a six-ringed and seven-ringed was still quite a leap. But now, the news of Aurora's talent had erased his worries as he would not have to worry about the power struggle anymore as the next generation of the Decan clan was looking bright once again.

"Impossible… This cannot be happening!" Wallace's voice shouted out in the arena.

"The crystal must be malfunctioning!" he continued complaining.

Hearing this, everyone's eyes turn to the source of the voice. Wallace was in complete disbelief and shock and uneasiness were completely written all over his face as he angrily blurted out those words.

Hearing Wallace just keep blurting out words, Migi suddenly got angry as he furiously turned to Wallace and coldly spoke out, "Are you doubting the work of a stage 5 blacksmith?"

Wallace was suddenly lost for words and he did not have any time to think over this as Aurora slowly walked down the stage and towards him, stopping just 7 feet before him. All eyes keenly fell on her and Wallace.

"What is happening here?" the Weaver Clan head confusedly asked.

Aurora gave Wallace a veiled smile and she softly spoke in a happy tone, "It's time. You have to let Thomas off and apologize to him."

Hearing this, Wallace's face was completely angered as his face turned crimson beet red. He could not believe that he lost to a girl. And not just that, because of the bet, he now had to publicly apologize to a commoner. His thoughts went haywire as fear and shame began to fill his mind. How can I ever face my father? How did he take this? How can I just drag down the name of the clan?

Seeing Wallace not move for a while, Aurora looked at him and asked plainly in a bored tone, "Are you not going to do it?"

She waited a few seconds for a response but seeing that Wallace seemed like he not going to answer this, she suddenly turned cold and looked at Wallace with a threatening glance and continued, "Ok then, I see. I will let you off because I feel bad for you. But you are to never mess with commoners again. Don't ever mess with them or else I will come to you and personally come and force you to apologize in the city square."

Wallace was completely dumbfounded as his arrogant side took control of his mind. This puny insignificant girl dared to threaten him?

When he lost the bet, he was completely humiliated and did not want to bow down and apologize to a commoner. And now it had escalated into a grudge and from now he would constantly be on the lookout for an opportunity to get revenge.

"Or else what?" Wallace responded with an evil grin as his eyes narrowed in anger.

"You'll find out," replied Aurora as she nonchalantly waved her hand as walked towards Leo without even looking at Wallace.

Seeing that he was ignored, Wallace was completely infuriated. He was the prestigious son of a clan head, his clan was the second strongest in Sapphire City, he had never been ignored in his life and always tended to. This had made his mind blow up completely.

He walked off and dissipated the crowd; this was a huge ceremony and he could not affect this ceremony or else the consequences would be dire.

Seeing that the situation had become calm again, Migi looked down on his sheet of names and called out the next name, "Next! Leon Areia!"
