25 Chapter 25. Clan Head's amazement

"Ahhh! That was some good food," Leo satisfyingly spoke as he happily rubbed his tummy.

"So this is the clan?" Aurora asked as they arrived at one end of a street and at the end was a huge gate that was similar to the one in the Aranea Sect, there were two guards at the entrance and the area inside was surrounded by high brick walls.

"Yep," Leo replied as he saw that there was a large emblem on the door that was identical to the one on the badge.

"This doesn't look like it's going to be easy," Aurora warily commented.

"Just follow my lead, it will be fine," Leo assured and the trio slowly walked to the entrance.

"Halt, who goes there?" asked the guard on the right as they took a battle stance. Seeing the clothes and the outstanding facial features of the trio, the guards subconsciously put down their guard as they became slightly more respectful.

"We are here to see your grand elder," replied Leo simply.

"Hahaha! I'm sorry to disappoint you but the grand elder of the Decan has been in seclusion for the past twenty years. What business do you have with him?" laughed the other guard as he mocked Leo.

"That is none for your business, please hand this to him and then he should come to meet us," said Leo as he brought out the badge that Ava gave him.

"Let me see this badge, hand it to me," said a guard cautiously as he looked at the badge curiously as he received it from Leo.

"How dare you! This is a fake. Do you think the Grand Elder would ever want to see you kids? How presumptuous of you! How dare you lie to us!" the guard face suddenly turn as he angrily shouted and threw the badge on the floor and stomped on it.

Rumble!

Suddenly, a dangerous overbearing killing aura descended on the entrance directed at the guards who now stood immobilized from fear.

"You can throw insults at me but don't you dare harm that badge," Leo spoke coldly as he radiated a little of his killing intent as he walked forward and picked up the badge from right next to the guard while he stood immobile.

"You! How are you doing this?! Quickly! Inform the clan head! We are under attack!" screamed a guard as he turned his face towards the entrance.

"Attack? I haven't done anything and you think I'm attacking. How stupid," replied Leo as he took back his killing intent and simply brought out a mat from his backpack and sat on it as he began patiently waiting.

"Hahaha! You stay there kid! Once the clan head comes, you are finished!" the guards arrogantly spoke in unison.

"Haha! If it wasn't for the Grand Elder then I probably would've killed you two already," Leo playfully threatened them.

"What are you doing Leo? Aurora confusedly asked as she also sat down with Leo.

"Well, you see while we were at the restaurant, from our conversation with Eupheme, I was quite certain that we would not be able to get in, so I came up with another plan. We don't have to worry at all, the clan head is personally meeting us," Leo calmly explained as he signaled Aurora to join him on the ground.

It took about five whole minutes for someone to come out from the gate and the person who came out was a manly lightly bearded man who was in his forties dressed in a fine yellow robe. Seeing this man, immediately worried Leo slightly as the energy that the man was radiating was over the level of the two emission realm experts that Leo had met so far.

"Clan head!" the two guards instantly greeted the man in unison as they clasped hands and deeply bowed to him.

"What is going on here? I was told that there was an attack. There are only these three little children here, were you two pulling my leg?" asked the Clan head in confusion as he put on an annoyed expression. These guards did not have the ability to communicate at all to clan head except the one action of alerting the clan of an attack.

"Clan head, these kids came to the entrance seeking the grand elder. They even gave us a fake badge. We wanted to kick them out but they opposed us and that boy started radiating a hostile aura that completely immobilized all of us," the guard lecherously spoke as he pointed at Leo and placed all the blame on him.

"How is that possible? You guys are at gathering realm. How can a child who looks to be fiver years old pose a threat to you guys," the clan head spoke angrily, not buying the guard's explanation.

"Hello! Are you are the clan head?" Leo childishly interrupted the scene with a question.

"Yes," replied the clan head in an annoyed expression. Someone had just interrupted him, a famous figure that no one in this city would necessarily want to offend. Of course, he would be annoyed.

"Can I ask what is your relation to the grand elder?" Leo curiously asked as he slowly stood up.

"He is my father's brother," replied the clan head as he cautiously answered, the tone of Leo's voice seemed to have a truthful feeling embedded in it.

"Phew," Leo breathed a sigh of relief as he smiled and spoke, "Do you know who Ava Decan is?"

"How-how do you know that name?" the clan head slowly asked as the name seemed to flip a large switch in him.

"Here, take this," Leo simply answer as he brought out his badge and handed it to the clan head.

The clan head took the badge and after seeing the arrow on the back, he suddenly began slowly examining the badge and his facial expression turned into a surprised expression as he had indeed confirmed that this was indeed a real badge.

'This badge. Impossible. How can he have it? This is the personal badge of the grand elder. Could this really be the badge that big sister Ava had? If so, then how could it land in the hands of these little kids?' the clan head confusedly thought as he felt as if he had been dropped into an ocean of nothing with no information on where to go.

"Little boy, how do you have this?" asked the clan head as he suddenly became even more alert of the situation.

"I got it from my mom. She gave me this badge. She said that if I infuse a drop of my blood on the badge then it should point the arrow towards the Decan clan. She told me that I should be able to meet grand elder with this," Leo simply replied as he yawned while the clan head's expression became more and more shocked.

"Your mother!? Do you think I'll possibly believe you? You need to prove that she was indeed your mother," the clan head angrily demanded as his breathing and tone of voice became panicked.

"She said that she used to live here and was a great talent but eventually she was sent to a sect far from here by the clan elders," Leo replied after a short pause.

Hearing Leo's reply, the clan head boy suddenly shook in disbelief as an excited expression appeared on his face and he immediately approached Leo and anxiously asked, "You are telling the truth! Where is your mother?!"

"I can't tell you, you need to know the whole story but I don't think that this is the right place to talk about it," Leo sheepishly replied.

"Indeed! I apologize for losing my temper and cool! Here, follow me, my dear nephew, I will take you to your grandfather!" the clan head gave a quick bow and immediately took Leo's hand and excitedly dragged him into the clan.

Meanwhile, the guards which were still at the clan entrance were flabbergasted as they stood in shock and disbelief. Did the clan head just call him that? What the badge real this whole time? If it was so then they were in deep trouble and judging from the importance that the clan head put on the kids, they could even be killed for it. Now knowing that they had done something wrong, they were filled with fear and anger as they started angrily arguing among themselves and blaming each other.

"Nephew! He called him, nephew! That badge must have been real this whole time!"

"We're dead for sure."

"If you stupid idiot had not stepped on the badge then we probably could've survived. They might have even left us with a reward,"

"Shut up! Have you ever seen that badge in your life before?! Did you know that real?!"

"No use arguing! Let just wait patiently and sincerely apologize to the clan head when we get the chance,"
