24 Chapter 24. Core disciple Eupheme Horus

The man walked to the table and turned back towards Leo and laid his hand out instructing them to take a seat, "Please sit down," he respectfully spoke.

Leo and Aurora did not wait at all and immediately went sat down on the hard wooden seats. Once the man saw that Leo and Aurora had sat down, he also pulled his chair back and sat down.

"Why don't I get straight down to business? I am Eupheme Horus," the man quickly spoke as he introduced himself, not letting an awkward silence appear.

"I see. Are you a member of the Weaver clan?" Leo casually replied as he looked around the room first.

"No, I'm just working for them, what about you guys?" Eupheme replied.

"Interesting, what sect are you from?" Leo immediately asked, not giving a chance for Euphere to ask yet.

"How did know?" the man asked in a slightly surprised tone.

"I could tell because your aura is very sharp and controlled, unlike other people who just let it free. And from your age, I am sure no one will have the same cultivation as you here in the city," Leo explained.

"Interesting... I am from the Iudex sect, have you heard of it before?" Eupheme asked, not expecting Leo to know about the sect.

"Yes, I think I have heard of it before," Leo responded after a long pause as he recalled countless reads at the village library. He remembered reading a certain book last year in his village library, it was titled 'The War the shook the world.' And the book was the story of a gigantic earth-shaking war the happened about a thousand years ago in this continent and in that particular story was the mention of a sect that changed the tides of the battle at the very end when the side of the crystal empire was about to lose. It was said that the sect was led by a female leader who wielded a large holy sword and she charged forward to help the crystal empire to defeat the opposing legendary Zorus Empire. The book ended with the disappearance of the leader and her sect disciples who all disappeared after winning the battle.

"I'm quite surprised that you have heard about us," Eupheme surprisedly replied as his eyes brows slightly shot up. 'Does this boy really know about us?'

"Hehe, I've read about you guys in a book. It's really interesting that your sect would be going on till now," Leo slightly laughed.

"Who are you?" the man was now on alert as he confirmed that Leo did indeed know about his sect.

"Haha, you are very careless to just expose such information. So you are really apart of the sect that fought in the legendary battle?" Leo excitedly asked as a glimmer of excitement shot up in his eyes.

"Who are you?" the man now coldly asked as he reached to grab his blade.

"Woa woa woa! Wait a minute, there's no need for that!" Leo spoke as he put up his hands in the air. "Sigh, I suppose we need an introduction now as well."

Leo signed and then began to introduce his group, "I am Leon Areia, this is Aurora Wellbloom and the baby that she is carrying is my little brother, Lexus Areia. We are villagers from Meno, a small village that lies on the southern border."

Hearing Leo's introduction, Eupheme was left in confusion and he began to think if Leo was lying.

"Which sect do your parents belong to?" Eupheme asked curiously.

"My parent do not belong to any sect, they were also villagers," Leo answered with a smile.

"Who taught you cultivation then?" Eupheme then asked carefully.

"No one?" Leo replied with a question.

"Are you lying to me?" Eupheme asked as a hint of anger sounded from him.

"Nope, we just happened to find a sect that was destroyed and after looting it we found a cultivation technique manual and from that, we began training," Leo explained.

"I see, what cultivation realms are you kids at?" Eupheme anxiously asked as his state of mind became more and more disturbed. Almost every sect in this kingdom had at least a middle emission realm expert leading it. He had not heard of a sect that had been destroyed in the southern border so he became curious, but that did not eliminate the possibility of Leo lying so he decided to ask this question.

"I am at peak gathering realm and Aurora is at late manipulation realm," Leo simply replied as a waiter arrived and placed their long-awaited food on the table.

Various scrumptious meat and many fresh salads were placed on the table filling the atmosphere with an extremely mouth-watering aroma. Seeing the food arrive, Aurora did not hesitate and immediately began rapidly eating the food while Leo followed suit.

While during all this, Eupheme sat there on the spot not moving, as still as a lifeless statue. On his face was visible confusion and shock, after spending a few second recovering he slowly asked, "Are you playing with me?"

"Nope, we've only started cultivation for three months now," Leo added arrogantly.

"What?!" Eupheme loudly asked in amazement as he lost his cool.

"Yep, calm down," Leo spoke.

"Do you know what you just said?" Eupheme loudly spoke in disbelief, "Have you had your affinities tested yet?" he asked.

"Heh?" Leo confusedly asked.

"I see, you guys have not taken your affinity tests yet," Eupheme spoke while nodding with his hand on his chin, trying to act like a great thinker.

"What have you guys come here to the city for then? I don't think kids would just travel to Sapphire City for this," Eupheme asked curiously.

"We came here to meet the Grand Elder of Sapphire city," Leo replied.

"What is your relationship with the Grand Elder?" Eupheme asked again.

"He's my grandfather," Leo spoke with a smile.

"What?!" Eupheme's mind was rattled again as he could not piece together the puzzle.

"My mother was his daughter," Leo spoke and began eating again as he shoved another piece of meat into his mouth.

"What?! How is that possible?" Eupheme asked amazedly.

Leo did not answer him and just continued eating as he saw no more point in explaining himself.

Seeing that Leo was no longer in the mentality to explain himself, Eupheme stopped talking and stopped asking Leo any additional questions and began eating as an awkward silence descended on the table.

"So then what are your plans?" Eupheme asked suddenly after a long pause of eating a whole plate.

"I don't have any plans, it was my mother's final wishes to meet him so we are going to meet him and hopefully they will nurture us for now," Leo spoke with his mouth full.

"I see, well then I think I have eaten enough, I shall take my leave, please keep eating till you're full. I will be expecting to see you guys at the Sapphire City Affinity test day," Eupheme spoke as he bowed and left the restaurant.

"Bye! Have a nice day!" Leo waved back as he hungrily stuffed another drumstick in his mouth, completely devouring the meat.

"Leo, why did you tell him so much about us?" Aurora suddenly asked Leo.

"Haha, do you remember the story of the war that shook the world?" Leo responded with a question.

"Yes, I remember but how is that related to him?" Aurora could not piece the information together.

"His sect is the same sect that saved the Crystal Empire back then," Leo replied with while eating food.

"What?! I thought that story was a legend and not true," Aurora replied with amazement and confusion.

"There's still a lot that you don't know yet in this world, I also don't know much about this world either but he was indeed speaking truthfully. And it the sect's strength is as good as it is in the story then we can definitely benefit from it if we made good relations with them. Eupheme's strength would mean that he must have a large status in the sect. Although he is large, he is only around eighteen years of age," Leo explained.

"But-bu"

"Stop talking while your eating, just concentrate on eating your food. Lex will wake up soon," Leo interrupted her as he pushed another plate of food in Aurora's direction.
