110 Chapter 110. Eupheme arrives

Countless shockwaves rang out from the forest as Garrick and the mystery man fought. Garrick had his usual attire of a simple white T-shirt and simple black pants while the mystery man had a large brown coat with a long hood covering his face.

Garrick once again advanced towards him and threw a large punch but the man immediately dodged it by shifting to the right ever so slightly and he delivered a large palm strike straight on Garrick's chest, sending him a few meters backwards.

Cough! Cough!

"That was a good hit," Garrick praised the man. The man did not seem like he was here to cause trouble and even more impressive was that Garrick had not successfully landed a blow on him yet while he himself had been struck over a dozen times.

"Thanks, we should stop here. If we increase the energy in our attack any further then we could injure each other," the man spoke as he hinted for an end to the battle.

"Not yet," Garrick cut in with a confident look on his face as he stared at the man and took out his axe and began activating it as a purple slowly began to coat his axe.

"If we go any further then you might-" Eupheme's voice suddenly stopped in its tracks as a shocked expression appeared on his face.

A sudden barrage of energy burst out from the axe and the blade of the axe began to glow purple.

Only people of incredibly high status were able to own such weapons. The energy being radiated from this weapon is incredible, it could possibly rival the top of the middle class magic weapons.

"Let's try again," Garrick spoke as he braced himself for a straight dash.

"I don't want to do this," the man spoke unwillingly as he brought out a heavy sword that had a large gap in the middle of it, making it look like two blades and he took an attacking stance and prepared to attack.

Kaw!

But just before they could continue their fight, a sudden call of a hawk sounded from the distance as a large nighthawk came charging into the clearing and landing next to Garrick. Its eyes stared at the man with extreme anger and dissatisfaction.

"I'm absolutely fine, hawky. There's nothing out of control about this fight yet. Don't intervene," Garrick informed as he stared at the man and charged forward.

Immediately, the man also charged forward and both their weapons, sword and axe, clashed together causing several sparks to fly.

Garrick then shifted his axe to the right and brought it back and prepared to swing it and strike the man right on the left side but the man had completely read this and he expertly dodged this attack. And like that, Garrick was left wide open to another attack and the man did not let it go to waste as he immediately slammed a palm straight on Garrick's right ribs, sending him flying a few meters back.

Garrick left a long trail of dirt as he slammed his axe's bottom on the dirt to help stabilize himself after his body was pushed back six meters.

"You took that hit well," the man commented as he suddenly straightened his body.

"Haha, thanks. I have a favour to ask," Garrick suddenly spoke.

"What is it?" the man asked curiously.

"Can you attack me with your full cultivation?" Garrick asked.

"What!?" the man exclaimed in shock. Was this guy crazy? Does he have a deathwish?

Eupheme had not shown his full cultivation outside the Iudex Sect in a long time and he did not expect the first person to request for it to be a refinement realm cultivator.

"I've been practising a defensive technique and I want to try it out now. I'm planning to surprise the leader with this but I need to make sure that it can take an attack from someone at peak origin realm," Garrick explained.

"Let me see the technique first," Eupheme spoke, still questioning whether this man had a death wish or not?

"I'll show you after you show me your attack," Garrick replied as he smiled, looking towards the nighthawk giving him a reassuring nod that he would be alright.

"I'm afraid I'll kill you if I use my strongest attack but it should be enough to draw out your leader," Eupheme decided and he began to build up energy on his sword and four letters suddenly appeared on his sword as a holy yellow glow began to coat the sword, not disturbing the air as it seemed to blend with everything.

"Yo, Garrick. I heard that we have a guest," Leo's voice suddenly sounded as he lazily walked through the forest but when he got to the clearing that the two men were currently fighting on, a surprised expression appeared on his face.

The guest is him?

"Should I let this fight continue?" Leo thought as he suddenly knelt down beside bush and began contemplating whether to intervene or not but he eventually decided, "Nah. I don't want to give the readers an extra fight."

"Here I come!" Eupheme spoke as he charged forward leaving a small gust that sent a large amount of dull brown dust flying behind him.

Garrick smiled, "Haha! Now that's what I'm talking about. Come!"

Suddenly, a flash appeared as a silhouette appeared on the field, obstructing the man's line of attack. The silhouette brought out his sword and suddenly swung downwards.

Silent Slash!

Immediately, the scene was disturbed as a large silent black arc struck the ground continuing towards the man.

Sensing the danger in the sword, the man also released his attack and an extremely bright yellow horizontal arc struck the incoming black arc and as both struck both immediately split in the middle, creating four separate arcs and flew diagonally away from each other.

"Now that about enough sparring for today, don't you think Garrick?" Leo suddenly spoke with a smiled as he looked towards Garrick. He then turned towards the man and spoke, "Nice to see you, Eupheme. I haven't seen you in a long while."

Seeing Leo, an extremely shocked expression appeared on the man's face.

"Leo?" Eupheme asked, unsure if his eyes were tricking him or not. Was this really Leo? The last time they met was three months ago and in that short time, he had crossed from refinement stage two to Origin realm stage one. This was even better than Aurora's progress and it was still a

"Yep," Leo smiled.

"So master's assumption was true. It was you who changed the tides of the war," Eupheme spoke with a self-accusing tone.

"So Ophelia always knew," Leo spoke understandingly. Being such a strong power, it was obvious that they would have the latest information first.

"Not really, she didn't confirm it yet but now I see that it's true," Eupheme corrected Leo.

"Leo, who is this guy?" Garrick confusedly asked as he walked up to Leo as he pointed at Eupheme.

"Oh! Let me introduce you guys," Leo spoke as he realized that Garrick had never met Eupheme, "This is Eupheme. He is a sect disciple of the Iudex sect."

He then turned to Eupheme and spoke, "This is Garrick Guarnere. He is a villager like me and currently the leader of this village."

"I see. Nice to meet you, Garrick," Eupheme bowed in respect.

"Same to you, Eupheme," Garrick replied with even more respect. The name of the Iudex sect was not to be underestimated.

"So, what did you come here for?" Leo asked curiously.

"I came to see the leader," Eupheme answered.

"No, I meant why were you sent here to the Lapis kingdom? I'm sure the war couldn't have been the only reason," Leo reinstated his words.

"Oh, I was sent here to pick you up with a few side missions," Eupheme answered after realizing what Leo was asking.

"Pick him up?" Garrick asked curiously.

"Yes, Leo's girlfriend is my master's disciple," Eupheme replied with a light smile.

"Woah! Nicely done Leo," Garrick spoke as he nudged Leo approvingly.

"Say, you wouldn't happen to know where the Nightkiss is would you?" Eupheme directly asked.

"So it is true that the one of the Ruby king's sons is a disciple at the Iudex sect," Leo spoke understandingly as a fact was validified, "Yes, the Nightkiss is with us. I have set it up here to protect the village."

"What?!" Eupheme asked in shock.

"What's so surprising about that?" Leo asked curiously.

"Were you able to access it fully?" Eupheme asked.

"No. I get a splitting headache everytime I try but it got better once I made some friends among the beasts," Leo answered as he understood why he had not been able to control the sceptre now.

"I see, can you take me to see it now?" Eupheme asked.

"Sure," Leo replied but he then froze for a second before turning towards Garrick and saying, "Garrick, can you gather everyone at my house please? I want to have a short meeting."

Garrick nodded and the trio left for the village with Garrick going his way to find the others while Leo led Eupheme to his house. And precisely, fifteen minutes later, the whole crew was gathered in the living room of Leo's house.

"Welcome everyone, I have called you all here for an extremely short but vital meeting," Leo spoke as he then pointed towards Eupheme, "This is Eupheme. He is a disciple from the Iudex Sect. I will be leaving the village with him soon."

"What?" Mars asked out in shock. Why was he leaving so early?

"Where are you going?" Wenella asked.

"I'm going to the Capital then to the Jade Empire. There is something I must do there first then we will head ot the Iudex sect," Leo answered.

"I see. Will you be coming back?" Vanessa asked.

"I will definitely come back but I can't accurately say when I will be back so I have a request from everyone," Leo spoke as he brought out a small needle that had a hole in to to store blood, "I want to take seven drops of blood from Wenella, Garrick, and Mars. This will help me know of you guys' statuses."

Having spend quite some time with Leo, none of the people had anything against this and decided to let Leo take their blood with complete trust in him.

"Thank you for you cooperation, Eupheme and I will leave tomorrow so I hope that we can enjoy tonight as much a possible," Leo spoke as he smiled at everyone and the meeting ended there but they had long conversations.
