102 Chapter 102. King

"You stupid child, you nearly stained my expensive robe. Do you have any idea how much it cost?" the noble angrily shouted at Azizos who had his head down in shame and fear.

"It was an accident! He just tripped!" Arsu spoke as he came to Azizos' defense.

"An accident? You think that the food would coincidentally almost land on my robe?" the man question as his rage was also then brought to Arsu.

"Yes, what's so weird about it?" Arsu proudly replied as he held his chest high, "I can't just let you throw wrongful insults on my brother."

"I don't like your tone, you sound nothing like a noble. Who the hell let such a child in?" the man loudly questioned as he raised to hit the kids.

But as he was about to bring it down, he found that he could not force his hand down any further.

"You nobles never change. It's quite annoying," Leo's voice sounded out from behind him and as he turned around the man found that Leo had firmly grasped his hand.

Surprised and alarmed at the same time, the man subconsciously retreated backward. Seeing the man retreat, Leo slowly bent down to Arsu and Azizos and proudly patted them on the head.

"Arsu, well done for standing up for your brother," Leo spoke as he tussled Arsu's hair. He then turned to Azizos and spoke, "Didn't it tell you that nobles are not as nice as they seem?"

Azizos nervously nodded before running back to his parents' side.

"A coward and a commoner. If I ever had a child like him, I would rather feed him to the pigs," the fat man arrogantly laughed.

"That's not a very fair thing to say," Leo spoke as he turned towards the man, "They were born as villagers. I'm sure if you were too you would do even worse and piss your pants."

"What did you say!?" the fat man suddenly exploded with anger.

"You are a refinement stage five and you are bullying a kid who just began cultivation. If that were you, there would be only one different result," Leo spoke and continued before the man could cut in, "I told him to run to his parents so he did not run from fear."

"Hahaha! Oudet! Who is this man? He dares to speak so arrogantly to a noble from the Yeates clan," the fat man laughed as his eyes slowly turned red as he looked at Oudet.

"He is just a guest. You are free to do whatever you want to him. He was brought here by the 'Sword Master' and the 'Azure Priestess'," Oudet replied as he appeared among the crowd.

"Sword Master? Azure Priestess?" the envoy's attention was suddenly caught at the mention of these names. He could clearly remember them being in the meeting tent on the battlefield.

"Haha, look at you, you are like only eighteen or so, what cultivation realm could you possibly reach?" the man laughed as he began charging up an intense amount of energy.

"You are from the Yeates family?" Leo asked as his tone suddenly grew cold.

"Haha! Is the name of my clan scaring you?" the man laughed arrogantly as now began concentrating the energy on his fist.

"Nope. Looks like all members of the Yeates clan are nothing but arrogant beggars," Leo coldly spoke as he walked over to the man.

"You dare!" the man charged forward and his fist began to glow yellow as he struck a massive punch towards Leo's face.

But as he quickly charged over, Leo gazed down at his finger and looked at them for a split seconds before looking up in a cold smile, "No need to waste it."

"Crumble upon the power of the Yeates clan!" the man declared as his fist was just about to strike Leo.

But just as he was about to reach him, his fist no longer made any more progress forward and Leo had moved his hands like lightning and had grabbed his fist, stopping the whole attack as a whole gust of wind caused by the energy blew behind him.

"This is the power of the Yeates clan?" Leo asked curiously as looked around.

"I can't destroy the king's property so have this instead," and as Leo finished saying that, his grip on the man tightened as the man's fist was suddenly crushed.

Crack!

"AHHH!" a chain of bones breaking and a loud scream immediately followed as the man retreated, holding his hand with an extremely pained expression on his face.

"You dare to do this to me?" the man angrily shouted as he could not believe that Leo had the audacity to injure him.

"Your hand is basically crippled now, you better go and see a doctor or you won't be able to ever use it again," Leo smiled as turned and prepared to walk off.

But before Leo could even move an inch, a sword suddenly was sent flying towards Leo and he bent his back backward slightly to dodge it as the sword flew into the majestic white wall and lodged itself in it deeply.

Leo turned to see who had just thrown the sword with an expressionless face. A man who was around the same age as the fat man but slightly more well built was standing in front of the man with a cold expression on his face as he released his cultivation of refinement stage seven.

"A noble is not something you, a mere commoner who was raised by faulty parents, can compete against," the man threatened.

Hearing this Leo's body turned towards the sword deeply lodged in the wall and he began walking towards it as an ominous feel fell in the ballroom.

Leo simply pulled the sword out and then looked towards the man, and an icy expression appeared on his face as silent rage was obvious on his face.

"You better pray that you have done well in your life," Leo's voice suddenly changed into a demonic sound as killing intent suddenly exploded from him. Immediately, everyone in the room's expressions changed as everyone under refinement stage seven fell to their knees. Fear appeared on the man's face as he looked at Leo as if he had just seen a demon.

"NO! WAIT!" the envoy's voice suddenly sounded as he slowly forced his limbs to move and he slowly walked towards Leo.

Recognizing the man's face, Garrick walked over to Leo and spoke, "Brother, he's a friend."

Suddenly, all the killing intent in the air vanished and everyone felt as if a million-pound weight had just been lifted off their shoulders as they all stared at Leo in a different image now. The killing intent of such strength would require a man to kill millions, not billions.

"Speak," Leo coldly spoke as his mood was turned sour by that man who had just insult his parents.

"Venerable cultivator, would I be correct to assume that you are senior 'Killing Cloud'?" the envoy asked as sweat poured down his back.

"Impressive, yes I am. How did you know?" Leo answered as a confused expression appeared on his face.

"I caught a glimpse of your face when you were at the doctor's camp and I then saw the soldiers carrying you back from the battlefield. They said you fell where the large sword crater started," the envoy answered directly.

"I see," Leo spoke as he then turned towards the man, "I will let you off but you better not ever speak ill of commoners again. We may be commoners but all of you here would not be able to face off against these people here."

Leo then pointed towards his crew and looked at the fat man and coldly spoke, "I'm not eighteen. I'm thirteen."

Hearing this shock appeared on everyone's faces as they looked at Leo with fear. Thirteen? They had never seen a thirteen-year-old child as tall as Leo and not to mention strength. Did this mean that a thirteen-year-old was responsible for the Lapis kingdom's victory?

As they all thought this, their minds quickly grew to the verge of breaking down. The only people who seemed normal were the Killing Cloud mercenaries, even Theodora and the kids were staring at Leo in shock. He was actually this young?

"Senior, please follow me, I was instructed by the king to bring you to him," the envoy suddenly spoke as he realized that the situation was not looking good. The atmosphere of festivity would not return while the Killing Cloud mercenaries were around so the envoy used this time to get Leo out and the king really wanted to meet him anyway.

"Ok. I'll see you guys later," Leo smiled as he waved goodbye to the crew and he walked off with the envoy.

Eventually, after walking past a long hallway, and climbing up a long flight of spiral stairs, they ended up at a large opening with a large room with guards guarding the front door.

"Please go ahead," the envoy spoke as he directed Leo to walk forward and make his way through the door.

Leo nodded and he opened the door to reveal an extremely grand round table that was empty. Next to the table was another door that led to the balcony of the tower and outside was an old man with a crown on his head, standing at the very edge of the railings, wearing incredibly luxurious and mighty robes.

"Welcome," the king spoke as he heard Leo made his way through the door and onto the balcony.

"Hello, the envoy said that you wanted to see me," Leo replied back as he walked to the king and immediately bowed.

"Rise," the King spoke as he spoke, "Indeed, I did want to see you. You are a lot younger than I had expected."

Immediately, Leo rose to his feet again as he spoke, "Is there anything you need from me?"

"You are the top ranked in the rankings. I want to know more about you," the King spoke.

"I see," Leo replied with a pause before continuing, "I am just a villager that wanted revenge on the Ruby kingdom for destroying my village."

"You are to be a grand duke and to be betrothed a princess. I want to get to know more about you," the King spoke as he seemed to not find Leo's answer to his expectations.

"Oh... About that," Leo spoke with a sigh as he awkwardly continued, "I already have a woman. I do not want to take a princess as a wife."

"What?" the King asked confusedly as he turned his head towards Leo for the first time.

"I have a girl that I already have a relationship with. I plan to remain loyal," Leo restated.r

"How disappointing," the King commented as he spoke regretfully. Leo was an incredibly young and handsome male, having one of his daughters marry him would relate him to another extremely strong character, "Then about your title. I can only make you a duke then."

"That's fine. I didn't care about that. I have a question," Leo suddenly spoke out as he turned his head towards the beautiful view of the capital under him.

"What is it?"

"What are my rewards exactly?" Leo asked with a clueless expression as he scratched the side of his head with a finger.

"As the top ranker, you are bestowed upon the title of 'Duke' and you will be given the right to request two things from me and I will try my best to achieve them," the King answered.

"Interesting... What does being a Duke actually mean?" Leo asked cluelessly.

"A duke means you are a person of extreme status only second to me. You will have the ability to claim a piece of land to be yours and you will have access to everywhere in the kingdom," the King answered again.

"Does that include the Royal library?" Leo suddenly asked curiously as he turned to the King with a glimmer in his eyes.

"Yes," the King answered as he suddenly grew curious. Is there something in the library that Leo is targeting?

"Interesting... Can I choose my rewards right now?" Leo asked as he began growing extremely anxious.

"Sure," the King replied.

A dozen or so minutes passed and the king's face changed countless times during that time period as his interest in Leo only grew and grew. But time had quickly gone by and the time for the public ceremony was near so they had to leave. The King managed to get Leo to stay with him for the ceremony and they made their way through a large carriage to the field where everything was set up nicely.

In the carriage, Leo saw the Queen and the princesses for the first time and he was pleasantly surprised when he saw that their beauty was comparable to Wenella and the others. They were all around the same age as Wenella with the Queen being about a few years younger than the king.
