10 Chapter 10. Impartation Hallway

The next day, Leo woke up with a bunch of sore muscles and his bones hurt a bit from yesterday's art training. Nevertheless, that did not stop his energy level from dropping as he decided that today would be the day he would open the Impartation hallway but there was another even more significant event that meant more to Leo. Today was his long-awaited fifth birthday, this meant that he would be able to officially start his journey of cultivation in this magical world. Morning quickly passed by with Leo washing up and eating breakfast that was prepared by Ava, then his dad took him to the local dojo to sign him up for training. They arrived upon a small traditional Japanese style house that had a bunch of low-quality training equipment and wooden training dummies all messily distributed on the floor. Since this was a very poor village, there were no restrictions over who could be admitted.

"Hello! Ol' Wilson!" Reon called out as they walked into the dojo.

"My my! Welcome, Reon! Haven't seen you visit this place in a while!" a jolly aged voice rang out from behind a pair of doors as an old-looking man walked out. He had a very large build and had tremendously eye-catching white hair and a very manly white beard, along with that he was wearing some hide clothes making him look like a mercenary soldier.

"I came to sign up my son today, it would be a big favor if you could do it quickly, I need to go and work on the farm so I'd like to not be late," Reon quickly spoke, not wasting any time with introductions.

"I see, well then, we can start immediately, here please fill out this form and pay two copper coins and he will be ready," Ol' Wilson replied as he did not want to take too much of Reon's time and handed Reon a form and gave him an already inked simple quill pen.

Reon immediately began filling out the form while Ol' Wilson took Leo around the dojo, "so you are the talented little Leo, I'm very proud to be able to teach you. You must a very talented individual to be able to walk at such an early age," Ol' Wilson happily spoke.

"Uncle Wilson... When do lessons start?" Leo couldn't help but ask as he couldn't wait to start lessons.

"Lessons don't start until next month... Oh yeah! I need to talk to your dad about that," Ol' Wilson suddenly realized as he smacked his head in stupidity.

"I'm done with it!" Reon spoke as he walked to Ol' Wilson and handed him the quill and the form.

"Well then Reon, Leo is now all signed up and ready. Turns out that in 5 days, we are planning on taking the kids out of this village to visit the Aranea Sect while paying our yearly food rations, you wouldn't have a problem with that would you?" said Ol' Wilson in a slightly pleading tone.

Hearing this, Reon's face suddenly looked conflicted as he heard about the Aranea Sect but after a short pause, he looked towards the man and replied "Of course not, they will be kept safe by our village's defense captain, Ol' Wilson. Of course, I wouldn't mind."

"Haha, you still haven't changed. You think too much, we are going to deliver food, don't worry, I'll keep little Leo safe," Ol' Wilson spoke as he tried his best to reassure Reon.

"Well then, thanks for your time, me and Leo will be heading off," Reon spoke as he gave Ol' Wilson a bow and took Leo's and walked home with him.

Having finished signing up, the father and son duo slowly walked to the farm as Reon wanted to show Leo how he would normally work and they began happily chatting as Reon started to tell Leo about his childhood, his first days of dojo training, and about the history of Ol' Wilson, the man at the sign-up post and that he was a senior of Leo's father and that he was the strongest warrior that the village had. This made Leo start worrying as the man was only at the peak of gathering realm. Leo had scanned the village before with his Nether eyes and the average cultivation of the villagers was at manipulation realm which surprised him even more but he had shaken it off by forcefully consoling himself that the strong people of the villagers were low profile and rarely went out and interacted.

So after finding out that the strongest of the village was only the peak of gathering realm, it had made him feel extremely concerned about the village's safety. From the books that he read in the library, he found out that other towns and other larger villages had their strongest warrior at least the condensing realm.

The day quickly passed as the father and son duo finished work and arrived home, dinner had already been prepared and the family of four ate happily. After finishing his food, Leo quickly excused himself from the dinner table and silently went to his room, then into his mind space, and arrived before the impartation hallway.

"Finally! I'm here!"

He bent down slightly and moved his face closer to read the note that locked the doors:

Requirements:

Talents chosen(49/35)

Killing intent level 3(Met)

"Wow, the requirements here are quite simple, thank God! Haha, ok now let's go and explore this hallway," said Leo as he excitedly tapped on the note and the note began ripping itself apart.

*rip*

The note was quickly torn and the majestic white double doors were slowly pushed opened by Leo and he was instantly greeted by a dark room that had nothing but a large 4k electric touch screen TV that had a large triangle that looked like a play button on it. Seeing this, Leo went over anxiously and as soon as he pressed it a voice sounded out.

"This is the impartation hall room. This large TV is all that is here in this hall room for now. After I finish speaking the rest of the hall room should light up. The purpose of this hallway is to impart to others, things that you want to give them: it can be messages, arts, bloodlines, talents, and more. Having imparted something will earn you experience points which you will find out more about when you open the second door.

However, impartation requires some things, you have a certain amount of soul energy and impartation requires this soul energy and the recipient to be compatible with the desired product. To impart something to someone, you will need them to willingly sacrifice seven drops of their blood and they will form a connection with this hall room and have a part of their soul in the square pods in the hall room. Another way to earn points is to protect people, I thought you might want to know this, hehe. Anyhow, when you add someone to your impartation hallway, you must protect them to the best of your ability because failure will result in you suffering a backlash as the soul connection is hampered. Another thing, anyone you place in this place is protected and will not be affected by your killing intent. Ok, I think that that is all from me. Good luck on your journey.

You should explore and find out more about this room."

After the voice faded, a light started appearing as four square boxes appeared at four corners of the room. And the TV had changed and began to display something. It read:

Name: Leon Areia

Soul energy: 1000

Pods: 4 (more soul strength need to unlock more pods)

Occupied pods: 0

Vacant pods: 4

Experience points: 0

Reading this Leo heaved a sigh of relief, the voice had pretty much nicely explained everything he wanted to know but he was a little tense in the heart as he could not possibly decide on which four people to impart his powers to.

'Haha, well then, now I know what I need. Let's go and bring Lex here and then go to bed quickly. I want to wake up early tomorrow and meet Aurora, I can't wait to tell her about this,' Leo thought as he suddenly lit up in excitement.

He went back to reality quickly and silently crept to his mother's bedside table and grabbed a little shiny silver needle and looked around.

Seeing that his parents were not here, he was very relieved as he slowly crept up to his brother, trying to move as softly as possible to not wake him up. As he arrived next to his brother, he quickly reached into his side pocket and brought out the little needle. Wanting to cause the least pain to his brother, Leo swiftly pricked his brother's finger and immediately started sucking out drops of blood.

The operation went extremely well due to Leo's medical talent, had he not spent the four points on medicine then the probably would not have been able to heal his brother's hand almost immediately and that probably would've made Lex cry.

This even shocked him as even he himself found it quite extraordinary but he had no time to lose, he obtained what he came for so he quickly fled back to his room spitting out and carrying the seven little drops of blood on the palm of his hand and went back to the impartation hallway.

He then walked over to a square box and dripped all the drops of blood on the box, immediately the box glowed in an electric blue and sparkled mesmerizingly. And a holographic image popped up from him:

"Blood detected... Would you like to initiate soul connection process?"

Leo tapped on the yes button.

"Initializing... Please name the recipient,"

"Lexus Areia," Leo typed on the holographic keyboard that appeared from the image.

And as soon as he inputted that, the square pod started rumbling and glowing even more as seven identical drops of blood appeared in the pod and a voice rang out "soul connection process initiated. Time remaining to completion 'one day, twenty-three hours, fifty-nine minutes, and fifty-nine seconds.'"

Seeing that the process had started, Leo was happy and satisfied. Now he could impart his brother some of his power so that Lex would be able to protect himself.

'I want my brother to be strong and happy. I want nothing to stop him from doing what he wants to do but I will also help raise him right so that he does not grow up into a bad person.'

Quite content about the situation, Leo then went to bed that silent yet fortuitous night and slept extremely well.
