7 Taking a walk(v2)

"They should be gone now"

After reading the last book that he have. Ian finally got up from his position and he notice that Blacky is not on his side.

Lately, Blacky is always going out on his own that he feels kinda lonely and bored.

"Might as well take a walk too, I guess"

Ian is not really fond of exploring that doesn't piqued his interests but he rather take a walk than doing nothing.

He was wandering around the Sunken Grid aimlessly when suddenly his went dark and was covered of slimy substance.

He was suprised at this event as somehow this feeling is familiar.

"Let's fix this darkness first"

He read a book about animal biography although it's incomplete and torn. One of the things he read, some animals can see in the dark and he plans to copy that characteristics. Fortunately he has the ability to control and modify his body on will though he rarely use it.

Ian soon regain his sight and the first thing he saw is a gruesome face of a man. Looking around he notice that he is inside of something as he touch the fleshy wall. He also notice that his lower half is missing. He then sigh as he knew the reason why he felt this was familiar.

"I'm eaten by an aragami... again"

After knowing the situation he is in, Ian didn't immediately leave the aragami's stomach since he was here might as well satisfy his curiosity about something.

Fortunately it seems this aragami digestion of food is slow as he landed on meat large enough for him to sit on.

He took a severed arm of a human nearby and put it in the acid and after a minute a pungent smell of flesh assaulted his noise.

"So the acid is not strong enough to melt anything right away but not weak enough to not worry about"

"I wonder how strong Blacky has..."

He muttered under his breath as he remember the last time he was in a stomach of an aragami.

When Ian and Blacky first met. They always fight to the death and Ian can't really die, so Blacky is always losing the fight. But that doesn't matter since he can die pretty quickly. In some cases he is eaten by Blacky whole or only his head.

Back then he doesn't have the leisure to examine the inside of an aragami but now that his thirst for knowledge is ever so growing. He will do whatever it takes to learn and gain knowledge.

"Oh, I found the core already"

Earlier, Ian created black thread-like wire on his back to find the core of the aragami since he required an aragami core in one of his experiments.

"I guess it's time to get out of this place"

Ian then commanded the threads to rip the core out as a shriek entered his ears and in the moment he can see light again.

"He is not here"

Blacky returned to the spot where he and Ian rested and to his suprise, he was nowhere to be seen. All he can see is four bags and a note next to it that says "I'll be back"

Blacky sighed in irritation as now he got nothing to do. He can go hunting again but he's already full, he can go and look for Ian but it's a pain in the ass given how small Ian is.

While pondering on what to do, Blacky then saw the book Ian was reading last time and he decided to might as well read it to kill time.
