4 First day at the Academy

"Of course, Hokage-sama." Said Aizen politely as he took out the scroll and placed it on Hiruzen's desk.

The Hokage examined the scroll and removed the seal. He opened the manuscript and began reading. It contained crucial intelligence about the movements of Iwa's army gathered by the deceased team of experienced chūnins. Iwa was sending their shinobi to aid the resistance in Suna to fight the Sandaime Kazekage. It was without a doubt a precious piece of information. When he finished reading, he slid the scroll into his pocket.

*The council won't be pleased to hear about it. Eh, I will have to work overnight and send warnings to our operatives.* Hiruzen thought and remembered that he's not alone in the office.

"Tell me, kid. What do you want to receive for your service to the leaf? I also want to apology for the behaviour of our shinobi. They shouldn't have treated you the way they did." Said Hiruzen as he slightly hoped that the child would like to stay in the village. He displayed courage, loyalty and didn't break under pressure of an adult shinobi when he was being beaten.

"There's no need for apologies, Hokage-sama. Your men were only doing what they were supposed to do. However, the violence was unnecessary. As you know Hokage-sama, my parents died when the caravan was attacked. I would be grateful if I could stay in Konoha and have a place that I could call home." Answered Aizen with hope filling his voice.

Hiruzen was taken aback, but then a bright smile appeared on his face. He already planned how to persuade the child to join the village after he was given a fitting reward for his deeds. He had to admit that he liked the kid. From his perspective, he could be shaped to become an excellent shinobi that would become loyal to the leaf. He already appeared to be much more mature than children his age, which made this conversation much more comfortable for him.

"Your wish is granted, from this day you are a citizen of Konoha, Sōsuke-kun. Since you possess qualifications to become a shinobi, I advise you to join the ninja academy. You will be able to meet many new friends that will make it easier for you to adapt to life in Konoha." Said Hiruzen.

"The academy isn't taking new students anymore since all spots are already taken, but with the recommendation from the Hokage, I'm sure that they will find an additional one. You will be given a small flat in the red light district of the village. Don't worry about the rent. I will handle it and give you some pocket money every month." Hiruzen continued and winked at Aizen.

"Thank you, Hokage-sama!" Said Aizen and bowed deeply.

"Ask my secretary to show you where to collect the keys to your accommodation. The new year at the academy starts in three days, use this time to familiarise yourself with the village." Continued Hiruzen.

One day before the new year at the academy.

Aizen was lying on a bed in his room. It wasn't spacious, but at least it was clean. The noise coming from the local clubs and bars at night was unbearable, but that was to be expected since his flat was located in a red light district. He sighed, as he thought about the academy and issues associated with it.

*Can I even use chakra?* He thought but quickly dispelled the thought since he believed that in the worst case he would have to reveal his Kidō and lie that it's a Kekkei Genkai.

Aizen closed the door and left the apartment. He was starving, so he decided to look for a place that served tasty food at a reasonable price.

He knew that there's no point in even trying to enter a bar in the red light district because nobody would allow a child to access such a place.

A few minutes later, he found a small dango shop, just opposite the academy. He immediately noticed, that there were several groups of children happily chatting and eating. He ordered his food, paid and sat in the corner of the restaurant on a comfortable chair next to the table.

"Man, I wish we get to be in the same class! We will finally learn how to become shinobi! I will make my father proud!" Yelled the kid with short, black hair as he ate his dango.

"Whatever, as long as you stop yelling." Said a kid with shoulder-length blond hair tied in a ponytail as he was slowly drinking his juice. He had narrow green eyes and an expression suggesting that he is either bored or irritated.

"Shogo! Show some spirit. Your big journey will finally begin tomorrow! You should eat something, haha!" Said the black-haired kid with a broad smile.

"I'm just tired, give me a break. I refuse to eat when I don't feel the need to do it. I refuse to turn into a swine like the rest of that damned clan. It's disgusting how they only think about eating more and more." Shogo answered.

"But you are an Akimichi! You should respect your traditions! Won't you get stronger by eating? How cool is that! I wish that I could eat to become stronger..." Answered the black-haired kid as he began dreaming how awesome it would be if he could eat to increase his power.

"Come on. My mother was a whore. The only things that make us similar are surnames and our bloodline. We don't even live together, once the clan elders found out about it, they made me move out and live alone. My mother didn't even protest." He scoffed with anger in his eyes. "Don't even compare me to those pigs." He continued.

Aizen overheard their conversation but ceased paying attention as a beautiful waitress came with his order. He ate his dango and left the restaurant.

Next day. Ninja Academy.

Aizen entered the building of the academy and right away saw a few children looking at the board with lists of students that graduated this year, got admitted to the academy and which group they were assigned to. He quickly found his name on the list and started searching for his classroom.

Aizen reached his destination, opened the door and entered.

*Disrespectful brat, how dare you come late to the class on the first day of the year. To think that the Hokage would allow an outsider to attend the academy.* Thought the chūnin.

"You're late!" Said the chūnin, slightly raising his voice.

As he saw the door opening, he immediately grabbed a kunai from his pouch and threw it next to the head of the kid to scare him.

Aizen saw a tan-skinned, bearded chūnin standing in the middle of the room and a kunai flying toward him in a way that wouldn't harm him even if he did nothing to dodge it. He thought that he might have some fun and play with the chūnin. He extended his hand and caught the kunai between two of his fingers like it was the most natural thing to do. He quickly realised that the kunai wasn't even sharpened.

The class became so silent that you could hear a pin drop.

"You shouldn't throw your toys at people, sen~sei~" Aizen said with a soft smile. He spun the kunai by the hole in the handle, playing with it for a few seconds before throwing it back to the chūnin.

"Everyone else already introduced themselves, so quickly introduce yourself and take a seat." Said the chūnin with a slightly embarrassed expression on his face.

"Pleased to meet you. I am Aizen... Aizen Sōsuke." He introduced himself and took a seat at the end of the classroom.

Blushes appeared on the faces of girls as he finished his introduction.

"He's so cool..." Said one girl in a muffled voice, accompanied with nods from other girls. They began chatting silently about the boy that just came to their class.
