Humans!

Xen walked up towards the gate and saw a long line of people attempting to go inside the town, most of them were turned away and left angrily. Some even tried attacking the guards but were soon arrested afterwards.

Xen shook his head, he clearly wasn't going to be able to get in. Xen began to walk away quite disappointed but was soon interrupted.

"Young Master! You've returned!" A male's voice shouted.

Xen continued to walk as he ignored the voice thinking it had nothing to do with him.

Soon running could be heard behind him. Xen readied his blade to defend himself but was instead met with a short old man wearing an elegant butler's uniform. Xen was unsure if he was apart of a noble's family so he quickly let go of his blade.

"Yes?" Xen said plainly.

"Young Master! We've got to tell the Miss that you've returned! Come!" The man then grabbed Xen and took him to the guard.

'It seems that the worm has given me a troublesome appearance..' Xen sighed inwardly.

Upon reaching the guard he immediately let them in the city without a second thought. Xen felt annoyance. If this family was that famous in this large looking town then he'd be tied down..

Of course, if he wanted he could just leave but he needs the resources, information, and relationships a famous or noble family could provide.. As much as he hated being tied down, he reluctantly allowed it.

Xen broke his hand free from the short butler and brushed himself off, the butler stopped and looked at him confused.

Xen shook his head. "I can walk too you know.. it's quite annoying to be dragged."

The butler eyes widened and he covered his mouth with his hand. "My apologies Young Master! It was never my intention to-" Xen waved him off.

"It's fine, let's go." The butler smiled slightly and began walking once more.

'Young Master has always been so kind..'
