19 End year test finally happening

"Fireball!" Frigs formed a red magic circle on his hand out of nowhere and shot a fireball as big as his face. With extremely fast speed, the impact of the fireball on the straw dummy has been increased, and the dummy exploded to burnt pieces.

Of course, all the people were surprised by the sight of this, and right after Frigs gathered his breath, someone placed their hand on his should, which he quickly slapped. Turned out, it was his teacher, "I wasn't expecting that… Anyway, you really did a great job casting that spell, it looks like that you have a lot of manas capacity"

(The nameless energy is only used when goblins are in their original form)

Frigs sighed in relief and nodded, "It seems like so!"

She smiled and said to him, "Well, don't forget to practice more then! And don't forget about what I taught you in class!"

And she went away.

Frigs thought about it in his mind, 'Let's review it once again. There are 10 different mages tiers. Everybody started at the first one and some ended in tenth. When two people are in the same tier, that doesn't necessarily mean that their power is the same, some mages with better enlightenment and experiences might do better'

'Then there are 4 different elements, fire, water, wind and earth. Some people are bornt with more than one or two elements depending on the talent. With more than one element in the person, that person could mix the elements and create a mixed type of magic'

Gallop

Frigs noticed the ground slightly shaking and heard the galloping sound of horses as well as the sound of the impact the horse's feet made when it met the ground. Soon enough, everybody's attention directed to the gate of the castle yard and they saw a lightly armoured approaching.

He stopped his horse right before the guards stopped the horse themselves with spears, then the man said to the guards, "Sir! The armies from the various villages have all arrived!"

The guards nodded and called the teacher, "Ms Sophia! It seems that all the armies of all the villages have arrived!"

The teacher nodded and gathered the students. She then explained the situation as if the students couldn't hear what the guard shouted, "Okay, all the armies of the villages have arrived. Gather your equipment and items, we will be studying there until the exam ended!"

Slowly walking amongst the casual villagers doing all sort of talk, Frigs was approached by a group of familiar man that greeted him, "Sir Edward! Here!"

Of course, he instantly recognized the faces and followed them, he ended up inside a huge tent with the villagers making a line just for him, "Don't need to be so formal guys, it's not like we are in a battle, anyway!"

The villagers smiled upon his words and sat at the straw bed covering most of the ground, Frigs sat and said, "first of all, I would like to thank all of you for coming here and helping me on this exam. By the way, did you guys bring the things I asked?"

The villagers in the tent grabbed their bags and began taking out bottles and weapons. When he saw this, he smiled, "Bows… Arrows… Swords… Spears… Shields… and the most important of all things! Bottles of sleep poisons! Perfect, that's all we need to win this batter, now let's discuss the strategy"

The villagers gathered around and formed a large circle around the bare ground, but it was soon changed to the landscape of the surrounding terrain. Frigs then said to them while pointing to a small hill, "You guys see this hill? We place our archers there and half of our infantry right in front of them"

One of them raised their hand, "Where will the rest of the forces be though?"

Next day, Frigs's somehow, was the first to be chosen, pitted against the two spoiled kids with red and light blonde hair (the one that got beaten up by him). Just as planned, they moved to the hills and placed the archers right behind the infantries on the foot of the hill.

In front of them, about 1 kilometre away, were groups and groups and groups of heavily armoured soldiers. Some are on horses, but most of them are soldiers, no archers. As fast as he could, he told his assistant, Louis, right beside him, "Village elder, relay my orders to the man, dig a ditch, a small one is good, then places some of our spears on the ground, we have extra spears right?"

Louis nodded and ran straight to the soldiers and they began their work. Meanwhile, for the opposing side, they moved slow and steady with laughter that could be heard from a kilometre.

Louis returned to Frigs and said to him, "Sir Edward! The men can't dig that fast without a shovel!"

He looked around and saw a forest nearby (the field itself was near the forest his school was at), he pointed toward it, "Louis! You see that forest over there? Unwrap the swords and find as many long sticks you can find as possible, form a stake out of them, at least that will slow the horses. Don't forget to wrap the swords with clothes afterward!"

He nodded and ran toward the men once again that started their work immediately as the opponent became closer and closer with every second that passed. Soon, Frigs could count the enemy's soldiers because of their distance, "Frick! Even with all the villagers, they outnumbered us 5 to 1! Where is the Baron?"

He surveyed the surrounding once again and saw no sign of any reinforcement, "Did the Baron of Bareth just betray me because he couldn't make it? I hope not. We can still win if the reinforcement are allowed to enter the battlefield!"

5 minutes later, after both sides looked at each other for that amount of time, it was decided that Frigs's opponent became impatient and charged.
