As a system notification slowly flew up infront of him, Gloxinia couldn't be any more excited!
After all, this is a commandment we're talking about, a power so broken that the user doesn't even have to move to win!
Unfortunately, now was not the time for obtaining it as a reward as he was still surrounded by people after the match.
Xie Xie lay on the ground, both of his legs broken, while Tang Wulin's right arm had fractured, bent at an impossible angle. The two of them couldn't help but utter screams of intolerable agony.
This match had developed into something so tragic that none had expected it.
Wu Zhangkong grabbed both Xie Xie and Tang Wulin and started descending the arena, looking only at Gu Yue and saying, "Go." not even sparing a glance at Ye Yingluo.
Ye Yingluo wanted to chase after him, but Wu Zhangkong suddenly released a sharp ice-cold aura which caused her whole body to freeze up as she felt the sensation of death.
After that, Ye Yingluo returned to the arena and told Gloxinia to go back to his dorm as she also left.
Long Hengxu remained onstage with a gloomy expression as if his face was dripping with water.
This time we have a major situation.
In this Class Promotion Tournament, two students had been seriously injured and as the referee, he had to take responsibility! This was a major situation that hadn't happened for many years.
Wu Zhangkong brought Xie Xie and Tang Wulin directly to the infirmary to have a teacher with a recovery-type martial soul inspect their bodies. Fortunately, Tang Wulin's arm was only a fracture. At that moment, Tang Wulin suddenly felt that this ice-cold teacher wasn't so cold after all.
Tang Wulin and Gu Yue left the sick bay with complicated expressions. Xie Xie had broken both of his legs; this was definitely a serious injury.
Tang Wulin was full of guilt. If he had been fast enough to pull Xie Xie back with his Bluesilver Grass at that moment, then Xie Xie wouldn't have suffered such serious injuries. He had been too careless as the team captain.

As soon as the system notification finished, Gloxinia could feel a strange power build up in his heart and dantian.
Then he felt intense pain. Pain so intense that Gloxinia couldn't even be bothered to take in the changes around him anymore. Chill, heat, itchiness. These three sensations replaced each other frequently in what seemed like an endless cycle. And when he thought it was over, he began to feel all three at the same time.
The only reason he had been able to succeed was by clinging onto his sense of existence. Regardless of how intense the pain was, he never gave up in his heart.
That, and also because of the system helping him without his knowledge.
After some time, he grew muddle-headed. At that moment, he could vaguely see that his body as well as his surroundings had turned dark.
The blood veins within his skin came alive, slowly creeping up his body. With a clanging sound, it seemed that something within his body had been torn to shreds. At that time, he still didn't understand the meaning of pain. Suddenly, an indescribably powerful and fantastic energy drilled into every single corner of his body.
Cold, heat, itchiness. All disappeared. In its place was a feeling of being bloated.
His bones, meridians, viscera, and skin all felt as though they had inflated and would pop at any moment.
'This.. This is how it feels like to accept a commandment?! No wonder they were all so powerful!'
The pain from that feeling of bloatedness gradually reached a peak before receding.
The veins along Gloxinia's body broke apart, becoming tiny specks of abyss-like light that moved away from his body while the blood veins on his vertebra became even clearer. Gradually, the blood veins reappeared on his body, but this time they were dark in color, as if a blackhole had appeared on his skin. The specks of light slowly merged with the left side of his chest, creating the eimage of an intricate symbol, one very similar to the one Gloxinia had in Seven Deadly Sins.
As the merging ended, Gloxinia slowly felt his newfound power. Feeling it's strength, he quickly asked the system of it's effects.
"System, what does my new ability give me?"
[Answering Host - The Commandment of Repose, Stage 1, gives the host 2 main abilities. They are;
1.) Demon Form - Turn your eyes into an abyss-like color and gain heightened senses and vision. In demon form your stats will all go up by 100%, doubling your current power.
2.) Commandment of Repose (Stage 1 / 5.) - Anyone who fights against you without any rest after 10 minutes will have their soul power halved. Every 10 minutes it will keep getting reduced by 50%.
System Tip - Every ability comes with a weakness, do not forget that host.]
'A-Amazing..' was all Gloxinia could think about. The first ability it gives him is overpowered enough to be a reward all by itself but the second ability is the truly powerful one, it could essentially give him the ability to kill title douluos or even gods if they fight long enough!

Author's Note: For anyone worried that Gloxinia is getting too overpowered, don't worry. Life is not like a novel where you gradually work up from having enemies at a low level to a high level. Thus, this fan-fic will similarly not be like that.
