Frozen Tenderness
It's like Solo Leveling but Chinese and bad. Our protagonist is extremely overpowered, it's seriously over the top and his whole gimmick is having a system that gives him a bunch of perks in addition to his already broken brutish necromancer class but like any good CN hack writer, our author balances our epic Gary Stu protagonist by giving him an injured older sister (who isn't blood related because CN novel) as a weak point for enemies to exploit. Like seriously, the whole plot is rubbish and painful to read, it feels so forced, this reminds me of those old school cultivation novels with insufferable copy paste son of destiny protagonists, it's honestly pathetic. And of course, it goes without saying that the worldbuilding, characters, and powersystems in this novel are completely unoriginal and uninteresting in both concept and execution. The characters are especially just really badly written, the antagonists especially are so badly written I feel physical pain whenever they show up. The more I think about this novel, the less I care for it (I think most people would share this sentiment), I'm just impressed with my ability to get through all 20 chapters of this stupid trainwreck. Anything this novel had going for it initially (which isn't much in the first place) has been completely ruined by the abysmal story and characters. Even if the story and other aspects were bearable, this novel's almost comical lack of originality would ruin it anyway. This is not good. 0.25/5
Mc is dumb, dropped ch14. Needs to lay low and be careful since he says there are assassins who will attack talented youths. So he immediately goes and shows off his strength in front of the entire school audience. But even without that, he completely wastes his op class he awakened. Melee necromancer makes no sense. He legit just goes in and fights with melee while his op skeletons are sitting back doing nothing...what's the point of having the op skeletons then. His "melee focused necromancer" hidden class has no synergy with melee fighting so no, it's not a melee focused necromancer class, it's just mc wasting stat points so he can fight melee for no reason. Having defenses is fine, but getting strength so he can melee is a waste. Just because you have more stat points doesn't mean you should use them on someone unrelated to your class. It means you should use it to get more ahead of people by using the things you synergies with. You can either have melee stats and magic stats that are comparable to others or you could just have magic stats that are way higher. This is one of the things I hate seeing the most in necromancer novels lol, so a bit unrelated of a rant I guess. Basically, mc has some good op abilities but decides to not use them and instead become a melee fighter for no reason. He didn't need to, he had good skeletons who could fight for him.
This novel is great and all, but the author keeps on forgetting the skills, which the mc acquired in the initial stage. Even the use of system has been decreased. Initailly the skills, used to evolve, but now the author seems to have forgotten that or something, even if the skills don’t evolve, the mc could level them up. This makes the read a bit frustrating.
let's see- 2 orphans supporting each other, young masters who can pay their way into school instead of weeding out weak talents, a fake transmigrator whose transmigration will be brought up once and never again just so that the author can have an excuse to add the transmigration tag and give the MC a system instead of just giving it to someone from that world, an author who has no idea the power equipment can have on a fight and label axillary professions as low class, no reason for the system existing. I think we have a copy paste piece of chines propaganda that will turn racist less then 50 chapters in.
Have you really looked past the first few chapters? the quality of translation drops more and more after the first few chapter. I am now at chapter 20 and it is putting me off to continue due the lack of the right translation. It feels like the translator does'nt check his work. I do hope it will become better. I will try to push through for now and keep reading
A thoroughly interesting read with the standard weak to strong genre. A necromancer skill that has been looked down upon,is the initial start of this story. The MC is gifted a hidden class and from there begins his climb to greatness. So far I have read the 40 chapters released and have found them all well written and easy to follow. I am hoping this guy doesn’t turn out to be a low class EQ MC which will be a huge turn off. Fantasy is one thing but when the MC becomes unlikeable then the novel fails. Anyways, I will be interested to see how this develops.
This is one of the novel pattern where the MC is poor and died in it's previous life, reborn with memories of the previous life. Has a SSS talent or ability with cheat system. Either it has best friend who is a fatty or a talkative person; or a big or small sister who is supporting the MC, vice versa. Hardships at the beginning then smooth sailing in the end. Discovers that the level MC knows is just the beginning not the end. Get stronger for either for power, revenge or love.
