18 You've changed

Vic sighed heavily, looking outside the window glass. He couldn't believe that he broke up with the one he likes because of that Meghan. How could he be so foolish?

He then gasped to see her, to see Annie, walking alone. He wanted to go to her, apologize but… he sighed heavily, canceling his thought. He stirred the coffee slowly while waiting for the lunchtime over.

..........................................…

Meghan smiled, waiting for Vic to arrive home excitedly. She couldn't wait to show him the tie she bought.

"I'm home," he announced slowly. She quickly approached him, hiding the little box behind her back.

"How was your day today?" she asked. He sighed.

"Like usual…" he replied, walking to his room, closing the door. She stood there, stun. Why… why has he changed? He kept walking to his room, no more routine that he always does. She looked at the blue box sadly, walking into her room.

..........................................…

Meghan looked at Vic as he quietly eating his dinner. She could see that he doesn't have any mood. But… why?

"Sorry…" he said, quickly wiping the tea with a sponge. She looked at him worriedly.

"Are you alright, Vic?" she asked. He gave her a smile.

"Of course I am. Why do you think I'm not?" She could see that he was faking the smile. She sighed, putting down the bowl and the chopsticks.

"You are not alright. I know it," she choked out, looking at him sadly. He sighed heavily.

"I'm just stressed with my job, that's all," he lied. He actually missed Annie very much. Meghan looked at him closely.

"Really?" she asked suspiciously. He nodded.

"Yes, yes. Come on, finish off this food. I need to rest," he urged her. Smilingly, she continued back her eating. He watched her, sighing secretly.
