1 I can't sleep

It was around midnight with stars shining brightly in the sky, accompanying a round yellow moon. The wind was not too windy and the night also not too quiet with music coming from a room.

Vic stirred a bit, trying to ignore the noise. He should be used with it already as it always the same every night but…

"Man… this is getting annoying…" he groaned, quickly reaching his shirt and walked out from his room. He went to the next room, just next to his, knocking the door. After a few seconds, someone opened the door, hugging a fluffy teddy bear, giving him a smile.

"Yes, Vic? Is there any problem?" she asked innocently even though she could guess the reason of him standing in front of her room on this kind of time. Vic waved his hand in front of her face, making a tired face.

"Give me a break, please. I agree for you to stay here with me because you are my best friend but if you make my face turn into panda every day, I will kick you out from here…" he warned. She bitted her lower lip sadly, nodding slowly. He sighed.

"Good. Now switch off the radio and have your beauty sleep. I really need the time to have my rest now. Tomorrow I have an important meeting to attend." He turned back and walked into his room. She scratched her head before turning her attention to the radio. Her finger slowly pushed the button to switch it off before letting herself lying on the bed, trying to sleep.

After a few minutes turning her body left and right and left and right, she groaned in frustration. She couldn't sleep!!! She needed music to make herself sleepy and that's the only solution for her problem. She reached the alarm clock on the nightstand, playing with the light. She knew she couldn't play the music now or he would kick her out and she would be homeless and… she was afraid of darkness….

When she couldn't help herself from getting more annoying with the couldn't-sleep problem, she got up from the bed, hugging her teddy bear, walking out from the room toward the next room, his room. She knocked on the door repeatedly.

A few moments later, he opened the door, rubbing his eyes sleepily.

"What is it? I'm sleepy now… totally exhausted if you want to have a chat…" he murmured sleepily. She pursed her lips, pulling his hand.

"I'm thirsty. Can you make me something to drink, please?" she said gently, giving him her puppy eyes. He sighed, pushing her to the kitchen.

"Don't be such a baby. You are twenty-five years old already, Meghan. How could you be this useless? Couldn't even make your own drink," Vic nagged while making her a mug of hot cocoa. She just grinned, ignoring the bitter truth in his words. She was used to it already, like flowing into the right ear, flew out from the left ear.

"Here, drink this quickly. I need to sleep…" She just grinned, drinking her drink slowly. He sighed heavily.

"Give me a break…"
