25 Give me a break

Meghan smiled, taking another gulp of red wine. Then, she continued playing with her spaghetti.

"Do you know I feel so lucky today?" Jacky said. Meghan chuckled. She actually agreed to have dinner with Jacky after two months he gave her flowers and other expensive things.

"I feel happy for you, then," she replied. He chuckled.

"So, where do you want to go after this?" he asked after they finished eating. Meghan smiled, putting the napkin next to the plate.

"I don't know. Where would you like to go?" she asked. She knew that Vic still not home, dating. She doesn't want to stay alone in the house so better spending her time with this old man even though he is not her taste. Well… one better than none. Besides, he is rich.

........................

Vic sighed, glancing at the clock several times already. Where is she? She'd never been this late before. It's already 11.52 p.m. In few more minutes almost 12.00 a.m.

He groaned, walking back and forth.

"Where is she? Doesn't she know what time is it now?" he groaned, walking to the door, checking whether she already reached or not.

It was 1.25 a.m. when the door had been opened slowly. He stirred before quickly opening his eyes.

"Meghan?" he asked, quickly approaching her. She looked at him weirdly.

"Why aren't you sleeping yet?" she asked, taking off her heels.

"I was about to ask you the same question. Do you know what time is it right now?" he asked seriously. She looked at her red leather watch, chuckling.

"Still early. Besides, tomorrow I don't have a photo shoot," she replied, walking to the kitchen. He followed behind.

"Do you know that it's wrong to sleep late, unhealthy," he said. She rolled her eyes, taking a glass of water.

"Come on, Vic. Give me a break. I'm not a little girl anymore." She left him, to her room. He stood there in stunned. Did she just say 'give me a break'?
