27 Breaking the rules

Meghan pushed the door slowly, tiredly.

"I'm home," she announced before her eyes opened wide. Annie smiled.

"Hello, Meghan," she said. Meghan bitted her lower lip before walking passing Annie, into her room.

"Meghan?" Vic asked, weird seeing her walking out, with her bags. She looked at him angrily.

"The second rule, never bring anyone to this house. The fifth rule, never tells anyone who we live with, where we live. You want your privacy, fine. Have this house alone. Don't you think I don't have any money to buy a house? With my money I can buy even a mansion," she said angrily, before walking away. Vic looked at Annie before quickly running out, to Meghan.

Meghan was waiting for the lift when Vic reached her, panting hard.

"Meghan… Meghan… what exactly happens?" he asked, out of breath.

"Vic, Vic, grow up a bit. You and I cannot be like we used to be. You have change and me too. I'm not the little girl you need to rescue anymore and you are not the hero I… I…" she paused, trying not to cry. Damn it. Why she always crying?

Vic wanted to hold her, pulling her into his arms but she took a step back, shaking her head. He looked at her in hurt.

"Vic… no… you are not mine anymore… no…" she said, quickly pulling her bags into the lift.

"I will come back to take the rest and… I will leave the key on the table…" she said before the door closed. He fell down on his feet, crying.

"Vic…" Annie held her tongue, seeing him so sad.

..........................................

Meghan cried, hugging herself. That was the last straw. Before that, Meghan still can feel like Vic belongs to hers as nobody can enter their house, their territory. But… now, Annie stepped into their territory, her territory.

She called the cab, asking him to put her things into the bonnet before getting into the vehicle. Then, the taxi drove away.
