Give it up

Jessy was slowly going insane.

She couldn't believe what her dad was saying, he was asking her to put her life on hold just to please him.

She sat there listening.

Her dad was talking while her step mom was yelling her head off.

"You have to do this for me Jessica, for us."

"I'll not marry that man father, I don't even know him!"

"This is all your fault Adam, you've been too soft on her." Her step mom sneered.

"Come on Jessica, Mr Michael King can be very deadly when it comes to handling those who crossed him.

Our lives would mean little to him."

"Maybe you should have thought about that before borrowing from him."

"You know we have nothing else to pay him with, you're our only chance of salvation."

"Of course! am just a piece of work to be traded back and forth."

"Do you want to see us ruined and our family name dragged to mud?"

"Does it always have to be about that? You'd send me to a lion's den just to save your name."

"Enough!" Her step mom yelled.

"You don't know how lucky you are, for you to be presented as a gift to a man like that.

We're your parents and you don't get to talk back at us, not after everything we've done for you.

And what exactly have you done for me? Jessy thought, locking me out of the house when I didn't do your evil biddings or making me go for days without food?

"It's a miracle he choosed to accept you after we showed him your photo and with all the women around him, you would only be fit to be his maid." She snickered.

"What? You showed him my photo? Without my consent? What else have you done without my knowledge?! Jessy shrilled.

She knew the situation was bad but she didn't know how bad it was.

Michael King is an arrogant billionaire who is feared by all. He has a knack for ruthlessness, a chronic womanizer who treated women like they are nothing.

Not much of his fault anyways most of the women throw themselves at him.

Jessy has never met him, she knew him only by reputation and the things she heard about him isn't helping matters at all.

There is a saying that Michael King always gets what he want. Does he want her? Jessy knew that was a stupid question. Michael King takes only pretty, glamorous women for pleasure and to toy with and nothing else.

He isn't and can never be interested in her.

He's only doing this to ruin her life, that's one of his hobbies, frustrating people.

There was no telling what he was capable of doing and she hates the thought of her photo being in his possession.

"You don't deserve it and if I had a daughter, I'd have let him have her without delay." Her step mom was saying.

Jessy grimaced in disgust.

"Why don't you go marry him yourself."

"Don't talk to your mother like that Jessica." Her father thundered.

"She's not my mother, no mother would treat her child the way she has treated me all this years.

You know what she's been doing all this while and you said nothing.

I do wonder if you're under her control most times and I definitely wouldn't be surprised if this whole idea of marriage was brought up by her." Jessy spat.

"You ungrateful wrench." Her step mom yelled slapping her cheeks.

"You will marry Mr King and that's final."

Jessy held are burning cheek and said nothing, she was too tired to argue anymore.
