Chapter 2 Primitive World

A land of fierce warriors and wild animals. Here, the brave and the strong battle for survival in an unforgiving and dangerous world. It became overwhelming with a large number of hybrids and mixed races.Those who do survive are rewarded with the spoils of battle and the admiration of their fellow warriors. In the end, only the strongest clans remain to tell their tales of courage and glory.

When each clan promises to remain in their territory and to cease escalating conflicts. Fear of having no legacy and children to care for struck them like a bolt of lightning. Finding a mate almost drove them into madness when breeders became scarce. But, from this came the championship torment. Each clan nominates its champion every year. If a clan discovers a breeder, they must turn them over to the Colvin. Every clan will have a chance to have an heir or family through this rule. However, if a clan hides breeders for themselves, they are at risk of being punished severely. It's a difficult decision, but it ensures that all clans are treated fairly and that no clan can gain an advantage over the others. This rule has allowed the clans to maintain peace and stability in their society.

After remembering what had happened and secreting nectar at that time, Gisele's flushed face could not hide her embarrassment. She quickly looked away, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone. She knew she had made a mistake and was determined to not let it happen again. With that, she straightened her back and put on a brave face, ready to face the day.

"Mother, I am back",

"Ouch! Mom don't use your hand. Use words. Use words."

Gisele cried as she crossed her arms over her head.

She tried to plead for mercy again.

"Mom, we don't solve our problems by hitting. We talk about our feelings and use words to express them."

Gisele slowly uncrossed her arms when there was no response only to see concern, fear, and an angry looking face. She signed and explained everything that just happened during her gathering. She earned another round of hitting as a result.

"Mom! Please use your words. If you keep hitting my head, I will become dumb. And I will become a burden for the rest of your life!"

Gisele and her mother, Maryln, chase each other around for hours until dawn. The sign of night is approaching.

Maryln stopped abruptly and looked at her daughter with a mix of frustration and love. She put her hands on her hips and sighed.

"Let's go love, it is getting dark and you know how dangerous it gets. No more gathering."

Gisele nodded, understanding, and feared to receive another round of hitting.
