I didn't know what I was gonna do when I chased after Malia. She was clearly upset even though she did that 'trying to act tough' in front of everyone.

I didn't know what I was gonna do when I followed her out of the hotel and into the parking lot where she ignored me, calling for her. I didn't expect to see her today, here out of all places, but the moment I laid eyes on her, my automatic response was to get to her. It didn't matter that I didn't know what to do when I did.

I still didn't know what I was gonna do when I grabbed her arm and spun her around, only to be surprised at what I see on her face. I was not ready for that look of defeat. Part of me planned to get under her skin again, maybe torment her a little for just existing, but all of that went away when I saw her tear-stricken face.

And when she started to break down, I didn't know I was gonna pull her to me and wrap my arms around her.
