Chapter 4 - Giovanni (1)

I'm positive I'm going to have a breakthrough. It's too early to say, but I found the most probable way to get my father's approval after fucking up in recent years, and that is to bring in the Japanese. Now, we're already friends with the Yakuza, but a few months ago, my father had a business proposal that they were too hesitant to accept. Usually, my father would persist, but the Yakuzas were one of the groups that he didn't want to risk his friendship over, so he let it go. But I know how desperate he is to get this deal in place.

I have the right connections to convince them…if only I can get them to give me a chance. I have no doubt that if I tell my father and ask him to get me that opportunity, he most likely would. But I have to do it without his help. The whole point of this is for him to see that I can do more on my own—a measurement of my true potential without his backing.
