1 THE BEGINNING.
"Catch them!" an average looking man shouted as a group of sturdy looking men chased after two kids a few meters ahead.
"Alex, I don't think I can keep up" a young lady of about sixteen years said with a pained voice, her name was Cynthia and Alex was her brother.
"We have to keep going" Alex said as he helped her up and rested her back on a tree stump. "We have to keep going, these guys aren't going to stop till they get us. We'll be fine once we can get across the barrier". He was tensed and tears were forming in the corners of his eyes but he couldn't show it because of his sister, he was the only family she had and seeing him broken or crying would leave her hopeless and he definitely didn't want that.
He swore he was not going to lose her and he had done everything within his power to keep her safe over the years, this wasn't going to be different even if it meant he sacrificed himself for her.
"Soldiers intercept them, we can't let them cross the barrier" the man who shouted previously commanded. He was the leader of the group, his name was Stone a nickname given to him by the villagers due to his relatively hard skin. It was said that his skin could withstand almost anything and only the elders knew of a way to hurt him.
None of the villagers actually knew where the elders and their underlings cane from, but the elderly villagers know they had come to the village immediately after the coronation of their second king.
King Theo was crowned king on a honorary basis after single handedly destroying two large empires who had intended on taking them out, he was the strongest man there was and grew Zho kingdom into an empire.
King Theo however mysteriously disappeared alongside his son, while his wife died following the arrival of the elders with no solid cause. The elders are now seen as gods and have the final say in the empire.
"Rumble rumble" there was a loud sound, accompanied by bright light. Thunder struck the trees around burning everything in sight and leaving a cloud of dense smoke, the smoke covered over a half of the forest.
The chaotic atmosphere gave room for a third party to sneak in and grab the siblings, a portal opened and they went in without thinking much about it.
"Search the rubbles, I'm sure they haven't gone far" Commander stone instructed as he paced about in anger.

Alex and Cynthia appeared in a dark place, it was pitch black and they couldn't see anything to even give a hint of their whereabout.
To make things worse, they where fading out and where feeling very nauseous, their travel through the portal was taking a toll on them they literally got there just within a second.
They both jolted out of their sluggishness as they heard a voice just behind them saying "Welcome to my base, sorry to bolt in like that though".
Alex examined the voice and had almost concluded it was that of a fairly advanced man due to the coarseness of his voice but became confused when he felt the teenage humour behind the statement, he didn't know what to reply.
While he pondered that his sister had quickly replied "is that voice of yours some kind of super hero voice camouflage or what". He wanted to put his hand over her mouth, they obviously didn't know where they were and were at the mercy of whoever had brought them here but sadly he didn't even know where she was with the darkness they were in.
"Eehm she didn't mean..." Alex's statement was cut short by their anonymous host's laughter "you seem to be the smart one" he said in between his awkward laughter.
"of course" Cynthia accepted the compliment with an obvious blush making Alex feel like he was being picked on.
Their host had expected it and said "don't feel bad bro thanks to her I'll turn the lights on" this time he spoke normally exposing his not-fully developed voice, Cynthia couldn't help but chuckle on hearing his voice. Meanwhile Alex was still feeling offended and scoffed at what their host had said.
Alex and Cynthia suddenly felt a sharp pain in their eyes and they held their hands over their eyes as bright light shine round them exposing the supposed base of their host, it took them about ten minutes for their eyes to return to normal working condition.
Casting a look around them, they were totally stunned by the glittering looks of the base. It contained technological devices they'd only seen in movies, it felt like they were in a movie as they inspected the base in awe not paying attention to the young man standing just in front of them.
"Cough cough" he faked a cough to get their attention. They both turned sharply to find an extremely handsome young man, he was so handsome he looked alien.
Cynthia had her eyes fixed on him for several seconds before she realized and quickly got her eyes off feeling embarrassed, Alex on the other hand almost forgot he was a guy but recovered almost immediately and immediately began to release the lots of questions he had in his head.
" Firstly thanks for getting us out of the chase but we really need to know where we are and who you are" he rushed up his words and his sister nodded her head in confirmation, she also had a lot of questions about how a guy just about their age owned such a base, summoned lightning and a portal and was also supernaturally handsome.
" Firstly, I am Thibaut. I come from a lineage of gods who oversee the galaxy, I guess that explains the base. And as for getting you both off the track of your pursuers, it's kind of what I do" Thibaut finished getting a little emotional as he finished for no obvious reasons.
Cynthia stared at him noticing his obvious pain, he had said he came from a league of gods 'well that explains the looks' she thought. 'But if he did why was he looking sad, he could easily fix up his problems and why was he even on Earth?' Cynthia was now thinking very hard.
The atmosphere was oddly quiet for a while before Alex broke the silence "nice meeting you and thanks again, but what happens now?"
Cynthia cast a disappointed look at her brother, she had expected a better question from him.
"Well, those guys are extremely dangerous. I'm sure they're searching every nook and cranny for you two right now. Their methods are at god level, you go out of here and you're toast." Thibaut answered sounding very convinced.
"So you're saying we should stay here?" Cynthia asked trying to sound as calm as possible, this guy gave her goose bumps. She didn't know him but even his good looks didn't take away the danger signals she got from him.
"Exactly. You see, ever since I got to Earth the only thing I've achieved is this base and I built it with the help of a few friends I made. Since I couldn't show face openly due to my looks, it wouldn't be long before people found out things they shouldn't, and that would be bad for me for many reasons.
They were the only friends I've made ever since I moved here, but then..." Thibaut was now red, his sparkling white skin seemed to be soaked in blood.
He was burning up and purple lightning appeared around his body, his sad outlook seemed to turn into anger and the purple lightning was now turning red matching his present skin colour.
Thibaut looked like a demon in a Hollywood movie except that he had no horns, Cynthia was freaked out Alex was too but was trying to be the man but his fingers still managed to shake.
The siblings hid behind anything that could give shade as lightning exploded across the room.
After the whole tussle, Alex and Cynthia came out of their hiding spots. There was light smoke everywhere, just enough for them to see clearly and not too choky. Every thing seemed to be intact, even the bin didn't take any damage.
They stared at each other both realizing the same thing at once, the whole base was somewhat indestructible.
Their eyes travelled to Thibaut who was sitting on a one seater soffa his long purple hair wet and over his face, he seemed to be scolding himself over what just happened
"I'm sorry, that happens to me whenever I get emotional or angry." he said without looking up.
Cynthia was torn between going over to console him and yelling at him for almost getting them killed, she had a really soft heart that her brother had always disliked.
He had blocked his heart towards people after all they'd been through and he expected the same from her, but it was in her nature to be nice and even she couldn't change that
Her legs were moving themselves towards Thibaut when her brother held her back and whispered " you actually want to go to him?" without waiting for her response he continued, " we have to get out of here, this guy's dangerous".
