Silence sliced the air, while June tried to keep it together. Caleb's hair is a mess and water still drips from his hair, he's only wearing sweatpants and nothing else. Caleb's body is lean and athletic, just like June's. June could perfectly see the mark on Caleb's neck, but what really stands out is the missed match eyes that he has, that June got a glimpse off, blood red and royal blue.

As for Alisa, June noticed that she's not wearing her cuffs and saw a Mark in the inside of her right wrist. As for Harper, the only explanation June could think of was that he's like him.

June held up his hand as if in surrender "Okay, can somebody please explain what just happened because the way you guys called him-" pointing at Harper "'Dad' is a little to genuine for me"

"Maria!" Harper called out and an elderly but beautiful woman, wearing a Victorian maid uniform, entered the living room. "Can you please prepare dinner for us" handing the groceries to her

"Right away, sir" Maria said, taking the groceries then she left.

Harper then looked back June "I think it's time, you have some answers to your questions, please have a sit" He said while taking a sit "and Caleb please put on a shirt, Alisa could you please help Mary in preparing dinner"

Caleb nodded and went back up.

"Sure" Alisa answered, smiling ruefully at June "I'll see yah later"

June smiled back at her and she left the living room.

Harper went and took a sit in one of their expensive looking couch "I know you have been seeking answers ever since you went through the Gifting process-"

"Gifting process?" June said, settling on the couch

"Yes, it's what we call it, when our Gifts manifests" Harper explained

June has so many questions but didn't know what to say at the moment so he just kept silent and try and process the information that was given to him.

Harper continued "Gifts are Supernatural abilities that has been handed down to special human beings for thousands of years. Just like the Chakrams that Alisa wields or the Spear that Caleb Wields"

June nodded

"After undergoing the Gifting process, certain parts of our bodies enhances. Physique, senses, strength, speed, agility, flexibility and whatnot but for others, like me, nothing changes at all. It also make our life span a lot longer that normal human beings"

Which explains the lean, athletic body he has right now, plus the lightness he felt when he was fighting at the party and the Shadow in the school hallway, June thought.

"But for some, they are given a certain special feature besides the enhancement"

"You mean like Caleb?" June asked

Harper smiled, impressed "Yes like Caleb, He has been given a unique set of eyes that for some people think as freakish or abnormal"

"That's why he has so many contacts, he's hiding them" June said, understanding why Caleb had his head down when he bump into him

"Yes, people hurt us because we are different and I'm trying my best to protect my family" Harper said with a sad sigh

"But why hide the Marks? people have tattoos right?" June asked

"Because the Marks that are given to us are like beacon for The Shadows, who hunts and kills us." Harper explained

"It's like a big neon sign saying 'Hey, Shadows here I am! Come and get it!'" Harper further explained, when he saw June's head was tiled and his eyes squinted.

"You mean the one that tried to kill me in the school hallway?"

"So it seem you have been already hunted, and surprisingly survived without a single knowledge of what's happening or going on" Harper said in amazement "I have to say you're a natural, you could even control your Gift right after you went through the process"

"Uhhhh..... thanks, I guess?" June said, unsure

"You are special June, you have to embrace it" Harper said putting a hand on June's shoulder

"Not sure about 'special', I mean why me?" June asked "I'm nothing special"

"Why me?" Harper answered, smiling kindly "I have also asked that same question for a very long time"

"What is your Gift?" June asked

"Immortality" Harper answered

"Really? That's cool" June said in awe

"Well not as cool as it sounds" Harper said, leaning back "I've been alive for more that 900 years. I've seen so much pain, loss, wars, feuds. My family thought that I was cursed because I didn't age, people tried to kill me because they thought I was some kind voodoo priest or something, my lover at that time left me and said that 'she cannot be with a monster' like me" His voice sad, remembering the memories "I witnessed them all die while I'm stuck with my age, never aging."

"I'm sorry" was all June could say, because really what else can you say

"There are a lot more things that made me wanna give up on life but when I found Caleb and Alisa, they gave me a reason to live again" Harper said while looking at the picture of Him, Caleb and Alisa all smiling. As if on cue Caleb entered the living room now wearing a shirt and his hair now dry, he didn't hide his eyes, and didn't cover his Mark. He looks so natural and peaceful and reassured knowing that no one will judge him and that he doesn't have to hide anything.

"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" He said, flopping down on the couch beside his "Dad"

"Just telling and sharing June about my Gift" Harper said, then his eyes lit up "How about you, show June how your Gift works" He told Caleb

"You sure?" Caleb asking reassurance.

"Go ahead" Harper said with a reassuring smile

Caleb stood up, he breath in a huge air and let it out slowly. He closed his eyes, he then touched his Mark with his right hand. June watched in fascination as the Mark glowed, then it happened so fast, Caleb swiftly pulled out a spear out of nowhere from the Mark. June gasped, blinking as Caleb now stood there wielding a spear.

"Whoa" June said breathlessly

"Caleb are you showing of again!" They heard Alisa shouting from the Kitchen

Harper and Caleb chuckled but June's jaw is on the floor, still shell shocked and amazed by what just happened.

"Don't look so shocked, you've done it before" Caleb said, smiling at June who is still gawking like a nerd

"Oh, so you also wield a sacred weapon. That's quite rare." Harper said to June with pleasant surprise

"Sacred wha-" June said furrowing his brow in confusion

"Sacred weapon, the sword you wield" Caleb said

"Oh, Yeah, but seeing someone actually do it, is mind blowing" June said "and to think I'm not as freaked out as I thought I would be" He said, noticing it just now

"I have to say I'm amazed by this as well" Harper said "You're handling this all rather well, a little too well if I may say"

"Yeah, it's weird" June sigh "I mean I have a lot more question and stuff but deep inside I just had this feeling that I knew I was always different, so yeah."

"Well you are different" Harped said, smiling "We all are, in a good way that is."

"Guys! Dinner's ready in 10!" Alisa called from the kitchen.

"We better get in there before she gets her knickers in a twist" Caleb said, smirking

"I heard that!" Alisa shouted

Caleb and Harper went on ahead but June stayed behind. Harper turned to see June deep in thought.

"You okay?" Harper asked, startling June.

"Uh?..... Oh I was just thinking" June said, then paused for a moment to gather his thoughts. When he was ready he looked up to Harper "It's just that, I was just always normal and to hear that I'm not normal? It's a lot to take in..... you know?."

Harper nodded kindly

"I had it all planed out, I'll finish high school, go to college, get a job, maybe one day marry someone but now I just don't know what's gonna happened, and honestly it terrifies me." June explained, all the excitement from a while ago are now gone, replaced by uncertainty and fear.

"It's only natural to feel that way June" Harper said, his voice kind "But we are here to help you, okay?" Harper said reassuring June.

"Thanks" June sigh, reliving some of the heaviness his feeling.

"Now get up, before Alisa really get her knickers in a twist" Harper said

"Dad! Not you too!" Alisa shouted

and the two of them chuckled as they headed for the dinning room.

"I'm not!" Alisa shouted as Harper and June laugh out loud.

All of them are in the dinning room having dinner and Caleb is telling an embarrassing story about Alisa when they were kids and just developing there Gifts. It turns out Alisa has a very powerful and unique energy stored within her, that when released, can really be destructive. But when she's not using it, the energy causes her senses to be 100x more enhance that any human being, both Gifted and Normal. And as for Caleb he has the ability to greatly enhance and manipulate his Offensive and Defensive energies which June doesn't really understand at the moment but Harper said that Caleb's Gift is not like any other. Plus they both wield a sacred weapon like me. Harper explained that there are three types of Gifteds. One, Gifteds who Harper refers to as "Wielders", which you can already tell by the name, these are the Gifteds who wields sacred weapons. Two, Gifteds who Harper refers to as the "Aces", who can naturally use their Gifts without using a sacred weapon. And Three, "Hybrids" which is a combination of both being a Wielder and an Ace; Like June, Alisa and Caleb.

As for their Marks, It's looks like tribal Fleur-de-lis. Caleb has his Mark on his left side of the neck and Alisa has hers on her right inside wrist.

"Stop laughing! It's not funny!" Alisa shouted again

June tried calming himself but ended up cracking up and laugh even more louder.

"You're gonna pay for this" Alisa said gritting her teeth as she stare daggers at her twin

"C'mon Alisa Dear let us all be a good sport here, okay" Harper said still smiling

Alisa turned to her father with the same withering look

"Why not tell one of your Brother's story then?" Harper suggested

"This ought to be good" June said

"Don't you dare!" Caleb threatened her sister who is smiling wickedly at him

"Dad you can't let her!" Caleb said turning to Harper, who is examining his food like its the most interesting thing in the world

"Where should I start, the one where you accidentally thought-"Alisa started but Caleb cut her off, his eyes glowing "Don't you dare!" gritting his teeth

"Caleb" Harper spoke with a hint of hardness in his voice but enough to calm Caleb down

Alisa just snickered

June was about to drink when he felt a sudden surge of heat in his back where the Mark is located, It's not painful but it's definitely hot. The heat subsided quickly but another wave of heat coursed through his back this time with a bit pain.

"Ah" June flinched, rubbing his back

Harper, Alisa and Caleb turned to him "You okay?" That was Alisa

"Yeah" June answered but the burning sensation on his back is gradually getting painful and painful

"Leader" It's that voice again, the one June heard when he was undergoing the Gifting Process

Leader... You must go!

"Huh.... go where?" June said

"Go Where? you leaving?" Alisa asked, all of them starring at June strangely

When June saw their looks, his face turned red "Uhhhh.... no! no, don't mind me" He said embarrassed

Leader you must hurry, there is no more time!

The sting on June's back is getting more painful.

June groaned, gritting his teeth while his right hand clutched on his Mark

Leader Go Now! There is no more time!

"June are you okay?!" Harper asked, now at June's side. He's starting to get worried with how June is acting.

"Yeah..." June said, his voice was rough. "Um.... I'm really sorry but I need to go, Thank you for everything but I really need to go" June said standing up

Caleb and Alisa stood as well "You sure?" Alisa said

"Yeah..... Sorry again" June said then hurried out of the house and to his car, when he reached his car the pain was almost unbearable.

Leader, hurry!

June got in his car, plug in the keys and drove off.
