14 Oops!

After the leaving the hospital, its almost last period already.

Having a lot on his mind, questions unanswered, June decided to leave school early having to pass extra curricular work for today.

Alisa and Caleb already left school after they arrive from the hospital. All they said was, Caleb was having a headache and that he needed to rest. June told him he can rest at the clinic but he just insisted that he just wanted rest at home.

June knew there are definitely things that they are keeping form him and he's determined to definitely have a talk with them tomorrow about all of it, not leaving any questions unanswered.

He was driving home when he saw a car on the side of the road, clearly broken. The hood of the car was up and black smoke was rising from it. A guy wearing long sleeves is trying to fix it.

June parked his car and got out. "You need help?" Walking towards the broken car.

When the guy stood and turned to June, June saw that is was Harper.

When Harper saw June approaching his face brighten "Hey June, fancy seeing you here."

"Yeah, I was just headed home. Then I saw your car and here I am" June said

Harper turned to his broken car, producing a sound like cooking pop corn. "Right" he said with a rueful smile.

"Do you need help?" June asked

"Sure" turning back to the hood. June walked over and stood beside Harper.

"So what do ya think?" Harper waved in front of him.

The wires sparked, the battery and alternator are pretty toast, puffing black smoke and popping sound came from the other parts June was not familiar.

Harper laughed at Junes dazed face "Its that bad, huh?"

June turned to Harper "Sorry, this is way out of my expertise" Junes said apologetic "but I can call Val. He's the best mechanic here"

"That's great, thanks" Harper said his voice full of gratitude.

"No problem" June said, Stepping aside putting out his phone and find Val's name.

When he found it, he dialed and Val answered almost immediately "June my boy, how's it going! You haven't called or visited in a while"

"Val it has only been a week and a half" June said chuckling.

"Really? It felt like so long though" Val said "anyway, how can I be of service?"

"Can you tow my friend's brother's car?"

"Do you even have to ask?" June can practically hear the smirk on Val's face "tell me the address and I'll be there in a jiffy"

June provided the address and when Val's done taking them, they said their good-byes and June walked back to Harper "He's on his way" June said

"Thanks again, I owe you one" Harper sighed of relief

"It's nothing" June said "if you don't mind me asking, where were you headed before I found you?"

"Home" Harper answered "We live on the forest house not to far from here"

June's eyes widen at the mention of the forest house. He already heard of the forest house that was being built in the middle of the forest, which is the only thing students talked about when they found out. The property is private and anyone who trespasses or even lay a hair on that property will go to jail. June heard that the people who owns that place is really rich and has really high tech security system. Everyone thought the house was a myth because no one can prove of it actually being there, so hearing that it actually exist and that the owner is standing right in front of him.... Is kinda over whelming for June.

"So it's true" June said dumbfounded

Harper chuckled "So it seems"

June's face flushed "Sorry, it's just that people actually thought that the house wasn't real, because no one has actually proven the house to exist."

"It's okay, I designed it that way. My work requires me to be private, hence the house" Harper explained. "Where do you live?"

"Not to far from here. Just a couple more blocks from here" June answered

Before Harper could speak, Val's tow truck came strutting the street, music blasting out from his truck. It's so loud that its impossible for you to not miss it.

"This is a lively one" Harper said, amused

June grinned "you can say that again"

"June!" Val shouted, his head out the window, waving, smiling like a kid on Christmas day

"That's Val I take it?" Harper asked

"Yup, the one and only" June answered, then they returned to watching Val as he struts his truck like its an expensive Porsche.

Val is one of June's closest friend but unlike Luke (when they were friends) Val has a wife and has two kids already. Val's maybe a married man but he is a kid at heart, everything from online games, xbox, play station, music, style, clothes, oh and anime, everything screams child at heart, which explains the dramatic entrance. Val may be like this but he is responsible and a very kind man, which is why June trust him deeply.

"June! My man how are you doing!" Val walked to June giving him a massive bear hug.

June tapped Val on the shoulder "Can't breath" his voice barely audible

"Oh.. Sorry" dropping June

"Nice to see you too." June said rubbing his chest. "By the way this is Harper, his car needs fixing"

Harper's car made a loud popping noise, as if greeting Val.

"Woah! That's a respectful car" Val said

"I try my best" Harper said smiling, "Harper Hearth, nice to meet you" extending his hand to Val.

"Wait, did you say you're Harper Hearth?" Val said astonished

"Yup"

"Woah! This so cool, you mean the youngest most influential person in the world?" Val exclaimed clearly fan boying.

"That's me" Harper blushed, embarrassed.

When the information and all the pieces came together. He then realized that the person he was talking to since a while ago was the youngest influential person who was reported to move here at Crystal Mist.

"Wait, you're the influential person who was reported to move here in Crystal Mist?" June blurred out

"Uhhh.... Yeah" Harper answered shyly and he looks so embarrassed.

"This is such an honor" Val, grabing Harper's hand shook it with a little more enthusiasm than the usual.

"Yes, the feelings mutual" Harper said, not a trace of sarcasm in his voice but pure genuine. This guy is really amazing June thought as he look at Harper in awe.

Val kept gushing about how great and honored he was to meet Harper and Harper just graciously smiled at him but he was clearly embarrassed with all the complement.

"Okay Val, let's give the man some space. He clearly had a rough day" June said pulling Val away. Harper looked at June grateful.

Val talked about the things that needs to be fixed with the car. He and Harper then discussed about the price of the repairs and the replacements. When everything's settled, Val offered him a ride.

"Oh its okay, I'll just call home so they can fetch me." Harper said

"Okay, if that's all..... I need to get going and start with the repairs" Val said "and mister Hearth honored to meet you again."

"And you have my outmost thanks Val, I hope to see you soon" Harper said sounding a little bit odd but Val didn't even notice. Val beamed and shook Harper's hand.

Before Val towed the car, Harper fetch out the important things from the car and also the groceries. When he got all what he needed. They all said their see-you-laters and Val left.

"He's a very kind person" Harper said

"Yup" June agreed

Harper put out his phone with one hand while balancing the groceries in the other. The phone just kept ringing but no ones picking up, he tried again but no one answered again.

Harper sigh "their probably busy right now." He said looking very troubled.

Junes asked, offering his help "I can give you a ride if you want?"

"Really?" Harper's mood instantly brightened. "Sure, if it isn't too much of a burden"

"No its okay" June said "plus this is my chance to see the famous forest house of Crystal Mist"

At that, Harper laughed as they settle in Junes car.

The directions that Harper gave was super intricate and anyone trying to find their house will definitely get lost.

When they neared the gate, Harper scanned his hand, then there's this device that analyzes blood in order for the gates to open.

When passed the gate June said "no wonder people think this place is mythical, first the labyrinth you call road, then the super protected gate that need prints and blood?-"

"Oh and don't forget about the censored trees, who will shoot you with the highest dosage of tranquilizer if you happened to be wandering the forest and accidentally trespasses." Harper added

"Wow!" was all June could say, What else is there to say, he told so himself that he's a private man.

When they neared the house, June got a glimpse of the house if it could even be called a house. The House is massive, It's very modern with three floors and mostly glass. The house is well lit, the paths made out of expensive cobblestone, and that's not even everything. The entire mansion screams expensive, modern, elegant and whatnot. It's pretty amazing actually, June thought while they drove on the drive way leading to the house.

June put the car on park "Nice house"

"Thank you, I do try" Harper said humbly, then he looked at his watch and said "It's almost dinner time, would you like to join us for dinner, its the lease I can do for all the help you did"

"No, It okay, it's nothing" June said

"But I insist" Harper said

"Really its okay" June refused kindly "Besides I think my Mom's probably home by now and waiting for me" Then June's phone dinged.

June put out his phone and saw that it was from his Mom.

"Hi honey! I'll be late okay, don't wait for me, Just order takeout Okay. Love you!"

"Who is it?" Harper, asked curious

"Oh, it's my Mom." June answered "She said she'll be coming home late and told me to order take out"

"Well this is perfect" Harper said "Home made is better than Takeout isn't? Just stay for dinner"

June looked hesitant

"I'm making spaghetti and meatballs" Harper said with a huge smile.

and that sealed the deal "I'll just text my Mom" June said, smiling.

"Excellent!" Harper said sounding very excited

June sent a quick text, then turned off his car. They got out and walked on a wooden path leading to the front of the house.

Harper scanned his eyes on the side of the door. The scanner beeped and the door automatically opened, they entered the foyer, June thought the outside was amazing but that was nothing compared to the inside of the house. The only way June could explain it was "Wow" with a capital W. They moved to the living room, and when June thought the Foyer was amazing this is even more so.

"Caleb! Alisa! I'm home! and we have a guest!" Harper shouted "and June please make yourself at home Okay?"

"Dad, Who's the guest?" Caleb ask coming down from the stairs. He's drying his hair with a towel, like he just got out of the shower.

"Wait? Dad?" June asked is shock, looking very confused and baffled by what he heard.

When Caleb turned his head and saw June, his eyes widen and turned to Harper, swallowing. June looked at Harper and saw that he was just as guilty as Caleb was, and as if that's still not enough Alisa shouted.

"Dad! I needed some-" Alisa shouted, she came running but her voice died when she saw everyone looking at her especially June. "Oh, hey June" She said with a small smile

"Hey?" June said glancing at everyone, feeling confused, shocked and a whole lot more.
