Chapter 2 : Princely Charm

I'm here. Wait that's the Royal Carriage?! The Princes are here. I get off my horse and walk her to the stalls. When I come back out, Amaria sees me. "Lilith Scores, come here." "Ah, yes ma'am." I walk over to her. She gestures to men I've never seen before. "These are the 5 Princes of Lake Shore." I quickly bow. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintances your Majesties."

"She's well behaved for a commoner, however she doesn't look like much. Why ever did Haynes choose her?" One of the princes speak up. "He chose her for her bravery. He met her the day she lost her parents and a good portion of her memories. Even though that all happened she still kept calm and was able to take out all 25 Ghouls involved."

"Hmm, alright. Lilith, is it? Get up." I rise to my feet and look at him waiting for a command. "I'd like to see you battle some Ghouls. Lady Amaria, bring out the top Ghoul prisoners and seclude Miss Lilith here with them. Amaria looks at the man in disbelief. "But she hasn't had enough training-" "Well if she dies that just means she wasn't worthy, Lilith, you have no objections...right? Do you think you can do it?" I swallow hard.

"Your Majesty I have no objections, and I believe I am up for the task." He chuckles. "Amaria, if Haynes' little protege succeeds, I will no longer knock her down as my Guardian. Miss Lilith my name is Damien, these are my younger brothers, Nikolai, Damon, Noah, and the youngest Dexter." "It's very nice to finally meet you all." I say trying to hide my nerves. "Of course it is, now let's make haste! We must test you immediately." He gestured to Amaria and they all walk off. I stay deep in thoughts and soon the Ghouls are released. Amaria forms a Barrier around me.

Here I go. One of them lunges for me when I take its arm and flip it over. I do a round off away from the Ghouls and draw my saber. I do one backlash attack and two fall. I start getting into my groove when a half Ghoul half Grim steps out of the shadows. He can talk? "Hello little girl." The beast of both starts striding towards me. He's at least 13 feet tall. I take a few steps back calculating my next move. When I go to execute it he sees right through me and shoves me into a nearby wall within the barrier. The wall cracks and a few chips of it fall onto me. I shake my head bringing myself back into reality and stand to my feet.

I'm incredibly durable so the some what normal looking being gets shocked. "Well isn't that a kick in the shin? The little girl is a Grim Class A." Class A? I quickly stop with pondering his words and pickup my saber. I quickly raise it for my signature charge attack. "Darkness Surrender, The Light Is Upon Us!!!" I yell and I can feel my eyes glow. I start the charge and finish it. He's gone. Ash. The barrier breaks and I hear applauds from Amaria and see shocked expressions from the princes. "CLASS A?!!! HAYNES WAS THE LAST CLASS A BESIDES AMARIA!!!!" One of the younger princes yell. I hop to the balcony they were spectating from. "Anything else?" I ask. Damien chuckles. "Not by a long shot, welcome to the Elite Royal Guard. You'll be finishing your education here then you'll be moved to the head of my Elite Guard. I expect great things from you miss Lilith.
