5 Graduation Ceremony

Slowly the days passed and they took the boredom Gray had felt with them.

His classes while they where the same as everyone else's his requirements where not even remotely similar. The instructors wouldnt even try to hide it.

"Everyone you have and hour to run ten km. Get going. Gray you have 45 min. Dont disappoint me."

"This Exam has 100 questions you have 2 hrs. Gray you have an hour and 30 min. Dont disappoint me."

"Especially martial class as the headmaster himself was the instructor. Almost every Friday he went in he wouldn't leave until Saturday night with new bruises."

Even then he would wake up on Sunday mornings to do his chores and homework assigned to him. His homework was also twice as much and twice as hard as the other kids. So when other kids his age would play around outside. He stayed in his room working hard. If he missed his homework. The headmaster would know about it and would keep him until sunday morning to make things even harder for him.

This was Grays schedule for 10 years until he finally graduated.

On a Friday morning Gray headed to the headmasters traing hall like every other morning.

When he reached the door he noticed it was ajar. When he opened the door he walked in it was dark like the first time he came in. When the door closed behind him the lights turned on he felt sense of danger he ducked and rolled forward as a blade flew through where his head had once been. Eleven men had been waiting for him inside.

Headmaster Walker spoke

"This is your final test Gray, ten highly trained men. No dulled weapons no pulled punches. You defeat them you graduate, you dont, you die."

The headmaster flung a sword at Gray and he caught it.

"Begin"

A soon as his hand landed on the sword. The men moved all with a weapon in hand the first to arrive was a spear wielder he quickly pounced towards him and thrust to Grays vital points.

Thankfully they where ell evaded. Gray had jumped backward. Just enough to be out of reach of the spearhead.

A man came behind him with swinging sword in his hand, aimed at Grays neck. Gray ducked to the side and grabbed the first mans spear and pulled the spear aiming towards the second mans head. The first man tried to resist the pull but sadly he was caught by surprise and his center of mass was still moving forward from the previous attack.

The second man barely moved his head to the side getting a cut on the cheek. When he felt a great blow to his chest.

When Gray pulled the spear he had kicked out towards the mans chest.

The second man flew backwards and landed on his back.

Gray stood up once again from his ducking position and pulled the spear that was still in his hand along with it came the man.

Gray swung his sword towards the mans face and hit him squarely in the face with the sheath sword.

Two men where down in under five seconds however that didnt stop the rest.

Two men moved together one on the right one on the left.

The one on the left had a staff while the other had two short swords.

Gray rushed towards them and swung down his sword while he was still quite a distance away. The one on the left was confused as to why but he soon realized as he saw the sheath fly out and hit his neighbor right in the head with such strength that he was immideatly knocked out. He truned back to look at Gray and saw him rushing closer towards him. He swung both sords aiming at the neck in an x form. However both swords where blocked by a single sword in the intersection of the short blades.

Gray with his free hand aimed at the mans chest. But before he could he quickly dodged by rolling to the side and behind the other man. A fifth man had joined the fight he wielded a long sword. 

This fifth man had swung his large blade at Gray's back previously. Now the previous man swung his short blade back towards Gray. Gray blocked the swing with his sword and picked up the sheath he had just thrown and swung it at the mans leg. The man was hit in the leg and fell on his side. Gray kicked him in the abdomen.

He proceeded to the fifth man who was now backed up with another man with a staff and a woman with throwing knives.

Two knives where thrown at him and both where struck down by Grays sword. The man with the longsword lifted his sword and swung down with great force as the other man approached from the left thrusting his staff at Grays side.

Gray dodged to the right the swung sword and the thrusting staff intersected in midair as their target had disappeared. Out of nowhere a knife stabbed into the long sword wielding man's arm. He dropped his sword but didnt utter a sound.

While he evaded Gray had picked up one of the knifes that had fallen at his feet.

With only one arm the man struggled to lift his sword.

Gray approached the man while striking down two more knifes that had been thrown at him. He kicked the man in the stomach as he was sent flying backwards as he fell on top of the man with the staff who had tried to evade but failed. Gray changed target towards the woman but was intercepted by the three remaining men two of who wielded nothing but their own fist and the third who wielded a pair of axes.

Gray rushed to the man with the axes and swung his sword the man blocked by crossing his axes. However he still recieved a kick to the chest as he was incapacitated.

Gray struck down two more knifes directed at him and rushed to the two men. Gray swung at their heads and they bothed ducked and punched from underneath. One of the mans punch was stopped by Grays hand while the other was directly knoecked out by a hit to the head with the handle of Gray's sword.

Gray then quickly ducked as a staff quickly flew over head. Now that he was at eye level with the man he punched him squarely in the face knocking him out.

Gray swung his leg back making the man jump in the air to evade it. Once the air the man had no option te recieve the second kick that was directed at him. He was hit directly in the abdomen sending him flying. Gray quickly stood up and rushed to the woman who at this point just gave up as her close range combat wasn't as good as any of the previous combatants.

Gray stopped in the middle of a pile of bodies who where groaning in pain after the adrenaline had receded.

The headmaster had not moved from his initial position.

He sighed and said

"Should of been twenty instead of ten. Who am I kidding it would have been the same result just much later. Michael time?"

From some loudspeakers Michael said.

"1min and 4sec"

The headmaster sighed and said

"Previous record"

Michael

"9min and 57sec"

The headmaster spoke

"Gray come here."

As Gray approached the headmaster continued.

"Gray after 15 years here, today was your last task.  After today you will be assigned as a Beta Agent not because of you lack of skill but lack of experience. Sooner or later you will proceed to become an Alpha Agent. In a couple of days you will be given your first mission you leave in two hours. Michael will give you your equipment and will send you on your way. After today the only contact you will have with this orphanage is through the missions assigned to you. Gray I have raised you as my child for 15 years while I may not be a good father I do love you. Today i am happy to say that you have offically graduated from this institution."

The headmaster hugged Gray and Gray reciprocated. Today was his last day as a normal human being, as from that day on he would be a Walker
