Jerrod only smiled as he didn't get why Larissa was glaring intensely at him. It was just an hour ago that he realized how Larissa's mood was greatly affected by quitting smoking.

"Oh my! Thank god you made up right away!"

"Yes, mom, don't worry, we might fight, but we will not separate."

Larissa stops glaring at Jerrod after hearing his confident statement. They then moved to the table and talked about the restaurant's food first before talking about the main reason for their first family dinner.

"So when will the two of you plan to get married?" Rodrigo asked, which made Larissa instantly stiffen. She thought this indicated the start she will get roasted by Jerrod's parents.

She was rude to them before. Also, she doesn't have anything to be proud of. She's poor and orphaned. She doesn't have a good social circle to connect with them, and she gives up the only thing she's good at. How will she prove to them that she deserves to be Jerrod's wife?
