1 Chapter 1

I walk down the dark alley to make a short cut to get home. Mom will be worried if I am not home soon. I stayed late at the Library to study for the history test on Monday. I'm really nervous about it, it has me shaken to my core. As I reach the apartment building I look up at my bedroom window. I guess I left it open a crack, I can see my light yellow curtains being blown by the breeze going though the window. I shrug it off, rookie mistake, now my room will be cold, it'll be fine though. I walk inside the building as I make my way to the stairs, walking up 6 flights of stairs helps me feel tired so I'll be able to go right to sleep. I make my way to the apartment as I pull out my key. I unlock the apartment door and I step inside, turning the right on the squaring down and taking off my shoes. I hear Bruno, my husky puppy, crying from inside of his cage, that means mom isn't home yet. I close the door after taking off my shoes. I hang up my coat and I go over to Bruno's cage, I open it.

"Hi good boy!" I Cheerfully cry out as he jumps up onto me, he runs around me a bit as I pet, hug, kiss and praise him. I then put him out in the balcony as I head to the bathroom.

Before I can reach the balcony I hear the front door fly open and hit the wall.

"Mom?! " I cry out, terrified.

It's silent for a couple seconds before I hear the door close.

I instantly get filled with fear as I see a pale guy with jet black hair and light brown eyes peer around the corner at me. I feel frightened and I can't look away as I drop to my knees. The guy come over to me and squats down, taking a look at my frail, pale body. He has on typical teen gang clothes.

"Bunny" he says. I flinch when I hear him say my name. His hand strokes through my light golden brown hair.

"W-Who..? " I can't even finish my sentence, because of the smile that goes across his face.

"You've seen me, this isn't good" he says as he stands up, turning around, looking around the house. He then goes to a shelf and picks up the picture frame, "Bunny, my dearest" he says in a tone that sounds completely like my father. My green eyes widen as I stare in disbelief at this man. He turns to me, showing the picture of Dad, Mom, Ace and me. "I forgive you" he then says again in that same tone. I instantly feel like I am getting stabbed and I collapse completely to the ground, letting out a few loud cry's before I try to muffle them.

"I think I will keep you, Bunny" the guy says as he comes over to me, he pulls me up onto my knees and wipes the tears away. "You're my fiance now" his voice as cold as ice.

Right after that my mom walks into the house.

"Bunny?! Who's this? Why are you on the floor? " my mom asks, first in an upset tone then in a worried tone.

The man turn and faces mom, her face goes blank then she smiles.

"Oh, it's just your fiance, Jamie" Mom's smile terrifies me.
