"Lower your head!"

Zowie saw the highest building of D city. The building where she used to work in. The place which was her stepping stone to get the man beside her now. She had finally got him with the use of it but in a way she had never planned.

Their cars were approaching to the company's access road. There were five of them.

"This will be just quick." She said to him before going out. A nod was his response.

The guards got alert! They were not expecting a mighty investor. And their jaw dropped as a familiar angelic face went out of the car.

Zowie was wearing all black, from her dress, sandal, bag to her shades. Her pinkish white skin transuded in her overall style. Then, she gave them her sweetest smile.

"Welcome back Ms. Cruz, Mr. chairman was looking for you for two days now." Mill, one of the guards cheerfully said.

'Looking for me? Why? Did he realized his loss? Well, I am sorry for him now.'

"Thank you Jack and Mill. It's nice to see you guys!" She gave them hugs. "Always keep up the good work and send to Mr. Chairman my regards." She replied. Then, she went on.

The two were puzzled from her farewell gesture. Among the employees in the company, they were her most favored. They were her best accomplice in every mighty investor she had to win over. They never disappointed her. In fact, they love her dearly, because she always treat them whenever they'll successfully close the deal.

"Tik! Tok! Tik! Tok!" The sound of walking sandals caught everybody's attention in the M.I. department. There was only one woman they knew who will be capable of doing such horrifying walk.

Zowie just confidently passed them until she went inside her office.

Everything was still in place. Mr. Chairman must have regretted his decision and decided to keep her. But she was not for this company aymore.

As she opened her way out, cheering voices and shouts together with the confetti welcomed her.

"Welcome back Ms. Cruz!" Her team members' bright greetings.

But they got silent upon seeing her bringing a box.

She was teary-eyed but held it back and gave them her genuine smile.

"Are you leaving Ms. Cruz?" One of them sounded.

"This team will never be best without you Ms. Cruz." Another one added. "You scold and yell at us whenever we are wrong but we grow from it. I mean you are terror but we love you and your ways Ms. Z!"

The two sounded with brokenhearted faces.

"Thank you everyone! I am happy to leave you here this time. I have been preparing you all for this. I never imagined I will leave you this way. But one thing I am very sure and proud of is that this team can be best without me now! You just thought you can't but for a long time you guys have been doing it on your own, with team work! My job was just to guide you but now I know you can make it in your own! Take care and I love you all!"

For the first, they have heard her with good words on them. She was never this open to them but she thought it was about time to let them know that she do treasure them.

Everyone became so emotional and started crying.

"Now stop crying and put your heads up because you have an image to keep on this team. I am counting on you all! And don't you dare disappoint me!" She said in an order-like manner. She seriously looked at everybody and her angelic face gave a devilish laughed. Then, she gorgeously walked out, just like she usually say and do.

Everybody gave her their claps of farewell and great respect on her.

Akki's displeasured face met her as she went inside the car.

"Did I come back too late?" She checked her watch. "I was just out for almost four minutes."

He just kept staring at her straightly. Then, the car moved.

'What? Is this a guessing game again? Urgh!' Zowie secretly complained while trying to find out what made him act this way.

"Okay, I am sorry if I did not go back as fast as I can! I just give them my goodbyes because I might never see them after this." She explained and hoped that her guess was right.

Her husband was still giving her a cold look.

'This man is giving me a headache! Why do I have to tell him everything anyway?'

"I don't think hugs are required in goodbyes." He finally voiced out. "I have seen two people hugging you as you enter. And I don't want to imagine what happened up there!"

Zowie eyes were filled with surprise. He was really damn possessive!

"Akki, please don't do anything bad at those two good people." She was afraid for them so she needed to make sure he really won't harm them.

"I will, if you keep reminding me." He responded with eyes on the road.

She immediately kept her mouth muted.

"Come in." Zowie freed the doorway to let Akki in.

"Stop right there! I am his wife and I am not capable of doing any harm on him so please just stay there." She strongly ordered to Akki's bodyguard. She did not like having too many strangers inside her house. But her husband must be an exemption.

Akki gestured his bodyguards to do what she had said.

She closed the door and guided him to her living room.

"Help yourself be comfortable in here. I just need to go to my bedroom to get what I needed."

"You're leaving me alone in here?" He really like the idea of her leaving him in the living room so he could sneak out in the areas of the house. But he had to pretend, for her to get diverted. "I mean can I come with you? If you need any help, I can give you a hand." He offered with a consistently serious face.

"Oh sure! Do you want to help me in getting my favorite undies?" She teasingly asked before walking away. She wanted him to get rid of the idea of coming to her room.

Akki's face reddened. He was bolted from the blue. He didn't expect her to be this bold. However, it was a perfect opportunity for him.

As Zowie went into her room. She made sure she had locked the door before going to her walked-in closet. She pressed a secret button and a secret door opened. She went in and saw her husband on the monitor. Of course she had hidden cameras all over her house.

He was still in the place where she left him but he was observing around.

'Such an Argus-eyed man! Man like you are mysterious and dangerous.' She instantly thought.

'She's a clever woman! If I were not able to see hidden cameras like those before, she might caught me sneaking into her place.' Akki thought after scrutinizing the area first. 'She might be looking at me now.'

Then, she took everything she had to go there with and went to back her husband.

Akki had no choice but to go out from her house empty-handed. While Zowie had her luggage with her.

After leaving the subdivision where she was living, their car harshly stopped.

Zowie could feel the chaos outside. There were armed men attacking the other cars with them. She got scared and looked at her husband with panic. Then, she heard gunshots!

She heard him say, "Lower you head!" Then, he covered her with his body.
