49 Giselle's Joining date

Giselle appeared satisfied as the day ended productively. She was able to find a suitable school for Lia. Mrs. Beth Hiller being there will help Giselle even more in terms of taking care of Lia during Giselle's absence due to work. Overall, finalizing the new school removed a considerable amount of tension from her.

After dinner, Lia played a while and later went to bed. Giselle waited until the child slept soundly and then returned to her room to give Shane Ricardo, a call. She had two reasons to do so: one to inform about already finding a school for Lia. She wanted to thank him for his kind consideration despite not at the receiving end of his help.

Another reason is that back then, when Giselle agreed to work at KeyLine Publishing house, Shane sent her a message early morning. It did specify in that text that Giselle can take time off until she finds a school for Lia to attend. Later, Giselle would receive an official date on joining the KeyLine Publications. Shane requested her to update him once everything got settled, and to do that, Giselle chose to ring to him.

"Yes, Mr. Ricardo, I- well, I called to notify that I found a good school for Lia," Giselle said.

Shane expressed his deep regard from hearing the news.

"Technically, it is my old school, and I happen to know someone who works there. Also, Lia liked it, so we finished the admission process quickly. I wanted to inform this- Oh, she will be started school from Wednesday," Giselle said.

Shane Ricardo, having no consciousness of giving his word to help find Lia, a school, at that moment, congratulated her. Only after noticing Giselle's frequent pause while talking did Shane realize his shortly forgotten promise. Shane sulked, feeling miserable from failing at his words.

He did put a word at few places that he could find, including the one where Lillian's helped as well, but there were no responses. He didn't know how to react to Giselle and kept reserve. Meanwhile, Giselle could sense Shane feeling obsolete from remembering his insurance.

"Mr. Ricardo, please don't feel distressed. Your kind thought encouraged me more than you could think," Giselle said.

She went on to explain about Mrs. Beth Hiller becoming a great help in the future if Giselle gets occupied with work and how much Lia liked after seeing the school.

"So, please don't stress out. You have already helped me out a lot," Giselle comforted him, and it worked.

Shane did agree to her decision. However, he wasn't able to continue the conversation without apologizing.

"I'm sorry, Giselle. I did tell you that I will help, but I haven't received a word back from any of the places I reached out for Lia. Anyways, it is good to know that Lia will be in safe hands," Shane remarked with a heavy sigh.

"Mr. Ricardo, another reason that I'm calling you now is to know my joining date," Giselle asked.

"Ah, yes. Hmm, give me a second," Shane said and put her on hold.

A few seconds later, he reached to Giselle about her work.

"Giselle, I would like you to report to me on Thursday morning at KeyLine Publication. I'll give you till Wednesday since Lia might need you on her first day." Shane said.

Giselle reflected about the date, and soon, consented to it.

"Sounds good. I will see you on Thursday, Mr. Ricardo," she agreed.

"If there's nothing else, I will end the call, Mr. Ricardo," she announced.

"Hmm... that's about it. Just remember to be on time on Thursday. That will be all. Now, take care." Shane ended the call.

Giselle felt an immense amount of pressure since it will be her new job with one of the top best writer. Regardless, she prepared to face the challenge and move forward.
