Remnants

When the sun rises. I was already out in the courtyard training myself.

Last night, Lumine and Paimon taught me things. Paimon is teaching me the Teyvat Language and Lumine is teaching me Starlight skills.

I have made considerable progress in language. Well, it's given, I was a hacker after all. Hacking is basically an IT, learning computer languages. If I didn't make any progress, I should smash my head like a tofu.

But, Starlight skills like Storage are very complicated. I was like a child learning quantum physics for the first time. Absolutely clueless.

However, I didn't give up. Seeing that I'm compatible with almost every element. Lumine told me I had a small chance of learning, and when I heard that, I couldn't pass the chance.

Lumine gave me 80 primogems last night. With 13 on me, I have a total of 93. With this, I can level up to 45 with another 13 left. Weird.

It's getting even harder to level up. I need primogems! Primogems! Yes, my primo gems.

Ahem!

Lumine also levels up from 44 - 50. She's fast, does she have an experience multiplier or something?

As expected of the protagonist.

After breakfast, Lumine and I with Paimon venture out to fulfill today's commission. Thankfully it wasn't another troublesome commission like yesterday.

We finished it earlier than I imagined. Then we split the rewards. I got 120 primogems, 60 from me and 60 from Lumine.

Now I'm already level 51 plus 21 primogems. Now I need 32 primogems to level up even more. Sheesh, my pocket is bleeding.

"You surpassed me." Lumine's eyes dulled. She grabs Paimon from the scruff. "I'm going out with Paimon a little bit."

"Eeeeeh Why!?" Paimon shrieked as she was dragged away.

I giggled. Lumine is a little bit competitive. I should let her vent. I'm sorry to the enemies on the way.

I'm not worried about her. She is strong and she's a protagonist. The disadvantage will become an advantage. She'll become even stronger without a doubt.

Am I so carefree to let my companion be in danger? No, you misunderstand me. I trust Lumine. There is nothing else.

Now then, what should I do?

Should I visit the Adventurer guild? Ugh, I don't want to see that woman for now. She reeks of trouble.

When we obtain the reward earlier. That woman is eyeing me like a prey. Fortunately, she did not make a move. Her eyes always linger on me as if she found her favorite toy to play with.

I want to see Eula. Yup, let's do that. So I walked towards the Favonius HQ.

Now that I think of it. When I read about her lore. She is supposed to be cold and aloof, never showing any flaws. Well, she does act like it when there are other people around.

Last night, Eula was not what she was supposed to be. It's like she is putting her shield away, she is bare and uncovered. She showed me the real her. Just a girl who wanted to be treated like any other girl.

It's not like I like her noble demeanor. After all, I want to know the real her.

Arriving at the HQ. I was greeted by a staff.

"Hello, what may I help you with?" He gave me a welcoming smile.

"Is Eula here?" Not beating around the bush, I asked.

"Captain Eula? She is not here but may I inquire what is your purpose for finding her?" His eyes squinted, and his tone became vigilant.

"I just want to talk to her... Is Captain Hertha or Captain Rizark here or something?" Not caring about his hostility, I asked again. I did this on purpose, I wanted to see if what Eula said was true. I want to know if I have the aura or something.

Seeing this guy's hostility, confused me a bit. Didn't work?

Is Eula lying?

Of course not. She is not the type to lie.

Or does my Aura have any requirements to activate?

"Who are you?"

"I'm Ronan, an adventurer."

"I don't know you. Did you have an appointment?"

He became even more vigilant. This is troublesome. It seems there is a requirement for my aura to work.

"Josh, may I take this." Just as the guy wanted to interrogate me even more, the staff that greeted me yesterday came.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Yesterday, I did not take the credit for defeating the Abyss mage. I told Rizark not to give me a medal of achievement, he should give it to Eula.

"Hi, Mr. Ronan, I heard what you said. Come with me." The staff lady smiled at me as she gestured her hand to follow her.

The man frowned but he did not say anything. Could be the lady is her superior.

I followed her.

"What is your name miss?" I asked her.

"Oh, How rude of me. I'm Leah."

"Thank you, Miss Leah."

"Not a problem, Mr. Ronan. Josh is a new personnel, please forgive him." She shook her head, maintaining her smile. "If you ever need my help, Please look for me."

"Captain Rizark, Ronan is here for an audience." Leah knocked on the door.

"Open." Rizark's voice sounded behind the door.

Leah opened the door for me. I thank her again.

"Then please excuse me." She bowed, and then she left.

"Ronan boy, why are you here?" Whilst working with paperwork on the desk. Rizark did not raise his head, he seemed so busy.

"Captain Rizark, That's a lot of paperwork. Do you need any help?" I look at the piled-up paperwork.

"Hahaha, no problem. This is what I've signed up for. This is just a little bit troublesome as after we destroyed the camp. The remnants have been scattered and caused even more problems. Villages have been plundered. Those villagers take a refugee in Calla City for now..."

He then raised his head and looked at me as he grinned.

"I know why you're here. You're here for her, Eula Lawrence. Boy, I admired your courage eh? You just met her and have the guts to court her. Bwahahaha. There are tons of knights who admire Eula but no one is courageous enough to face her cold and vicious remarks."

I laughed dryly, scratching the back of my head, slightly embarrassed.

"Well, I won't deny that."

"Good job Boy! Oh, I sent Eula to scout the perimeter. To search for the remnants. Her team should be in this location right now. If you want to find her. " He brought out a map and pointed at the location.

"Thanks."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about your rewards yesterday. Look for Hertha for me, she knows about it. Sorry about that, I drank too much bwahahaha."

Right, we still have rewards. Being able to see Eula dance is enough reward for me.

"Then, I will not entertain you further." I walk towards the door.

"Go." Rizark waved his hands to shoo me away. "Spring is blooming in Dragonspine."
