Ch 45-Trip Preparations
"so basically you wanted Kanna and Rexy to get everyone to like them immediately by calling them a name they would all like," jingliu remarked as she ran her fingers through Meliodas' hair on their living room couch.
Night had fallen, and the others had taken guest rooms in Jingliu's place, while the kids were peacefully asleep in Meliodas' old room.
"Mhm~, il be leaving in about two days for a quest that I thought was too dangerous for them. I also thought that the two might need a mother in their life so I brought them back here to you" said Meliodas who was enjoying his lap pillow
"I see if that's the case then I don't mind taking care of them while you do your little mission, in fact, I think I might enjoy it," said Jingliu with a Smile.
Children.
That's a word that she's never become too concerned about or thought about but now that Meliodas has entered her life, she might want to have one.
"... Do you want kids" asked Jingliu.
Surprised by her sudden question. Meliodas answered " I would like one, of course, I'm happy with Kanna and Rex but I'd like to have one with you"
"Really? Then what would be the names?"
"Hmmm if it's a boy then it would be Dongwan or Siegfried. If it's a girl then it would be Meiyue."
"Gentle winter and Beautifull moon, I like it. Although I also like the name Siegfried even though it came out of nowhere" humed Jingliu in acceptance.
"But why those names?"
"Well Dongwan Wich means gentle winter reminds me of you. Although the winter may be cold and unforgiving it's also Beautifull and pure, your main power is also ice so it matches up" (Meliodas)
"Cold and unforgiving?' she Repeated as she gave a threatening glare to Meliodas who was on her lap.
"Whose the person who tried to kill me when we first met?"
"..."
"I rest my case. But like I was saying although you might have been trying to kill me from the beginning, but once I got to know you I found out that you are quite gentle, smart, beautiful, and caring hence the name Dongwan"
"Hm, I think it's good then, now what's the meaning behind Meiyue?"
'that's because your star rail version heavily themes out on the moon' thought Meliodas but he couldn't really tell her that. Well, that was one of the reasons but of course, that wasn't all.
"Because you like the moon. among all the stars in the sky, you're the one that shines the brightest and most beautiful... Now that I hear it coming from my mouth it sounds kinda cringe"
Hearing his long line Jingliu chuckled lightly, she knew that Meliodas wasn't a very serious man unless the situation called for it. Meliodas usually likes to avoid awkward situations with humor although most of the time other people don't get his jokes or references.
Jingliu and Meliodas had already talked about this and found out that it was one of his defense mechanisms. It wasn't that he felt awkward but he didn't want her to feel awkward.
Jingliu felt appreciation as she knew that what Meliodas said was genuine and that he attempted to be romantic even though it slightly failed, slightly that is.
"It's beautiful, thank you Meliodas," she said with a smile but Meliodas already fell asleep in the comfort of her lap.
Brushing her hand through his hair once more, Jingliu lowered her head and gave him a gentle kiss on his sleeping head.
"Good night"

'Hm? Something is grabbing my butt' As I groggily opened my eyes I saw Jingliu sleeping in front of me on the couch. well, more like her drooling with her head between my man boobs, I'm quite muscled for a person who doesn't really focus on working out. I have a toned six-pack that looks like you could grate cheese on it... I should try that later.
My arms are also quite bulky but not too much like one of those handsome men in manhuas who have perfectly balanced bodies muscle-wise, and it's all thanks to system stats!.
Wait how did we even get in this position?, wasn't she giving me a lap pillow?
As i was with my own thoughts I realized that Her hands were also around my waist as she tried to not fall off the couch though her hands seemed to be clinging to my ass like her life was depending on it.

"Hey get up don't go back to sleep," I said as I shaked her already dozing body.
"Nope it's my day off" She lazily responded
"I won't make breakfast" I threatened as it seemed to have bought her attention, but
she merely stared me down until I gave up.

"Fine sleep for now, il wake you up when I finish cooking"

As I got up from the couch and Jingliu went back to sleep.
I walked towards the kitchen and put on an apron I bought at the system store and started making breakfast.

Hearing steps coming from the main hall I turned my head around to see a half-asleep Ban, Topaz, Kanna, and Rex.
"Morning captain *yawn~*, dam I think the beds here might be as good as the ones inside the RV mansion."
Topaz who had her hair everywhere nodded in agreement.
"Need help cap" Offered Ban
"Yeah help me rinse and cut those veggies over there and then-"
After a few more minutes of fast-paced cooking me and Ban managed to finish breakfast fast.
Everybody was already waiting on the table as their mouths watered from smelling the food.
"All of you can eat" I announced and eat they did, even Kanna and Topaz started fighting for the over the panettone French toast with mixed berries.
But there was still one missing person on the table.
I walked over to the sleeping Jingliu on the couch with a tray full of food for her in my hand.
I lightly shake her, waking her up from her dreams.
*Sniff*
As she sniffed the food she immediately shot up from her previous sleeping posture and snatched the food off my hands with a smile "I missed your food, thanks" she said as she started eating.
Observing the joyful expressions on the faces of everyone around me filled me with a deep sense of happiness and belonging. It was clear to me that today was going to be a wonderful day.

After breakfast, I left for Dan Feng's floating island with the gang while Jingliu went to her office at Wukongs palace with a smile on her face.
I guess she really missed my food.
Anyway after we went to the island everyone became amazed at the sight of the magical forest, hehe it reminds me of when I first came here.
After reaching Dan Feng I explained to him that I wanted the kids to stay with him for a while for training. to say the kids were excited would be an overstatement, in fact, they were not happy at all. They complained that they wanted to go with me but I denied their request making both of them sulky.
But I promised them that if they became strong enough by the time I came back, I would give them a tarot card. After that they didn't complain and became excited about training with Dan Feng. Me, Ban, and Topaz left after leaving them both with my brother.
Leaving the island I took them all around the Luofu, i took them to a full tur of Wukongs palace, the library, and even Big Ben which I accidentally had made when i introduced the way to count time in the Luofu.
We also went around shopping for stuff be it supplies, Snacks, or mundane things. Topaz eyed some common magical items here in the Luofu saying that they would sell for a lot out there for nobility and wealthy merchants. I didn't stop her but I did warn her not to draw in too much attention to herself for having such items.
After all, I dont want to kill another army of 300 innocent men who are just following orders. A whole back a merchant who wanted my weapons came with an army to obtain my stuff after rejecting his offer. I was originally going to just beat them up and leave but I sensed a disgusting amount of ill intent from every soldier towards Topaz and Kanna, so I killed every single one of them and the merchant. I even got a secret system achievement that gave me tickets and system points.
Topaz took my warning to heart and bought the things she wanted with the pocket money I gave her. Ban on the other side didn't really care about that, he has become really dedicated to becoming a cook which surpasses me, and for that, he bought lots of rare ingredients for experimentation and cooking tools that he finds useful for his cooking.
heh, he reminds me of Mitsuri when she told me she wanted to become a cook.
I didn't buy much besides supplies for our trip, but I did find this nice art store that sold paints, canvases, and brushes. In my past life, I was a very VERY crapy drawer. The best I could do was a few stickmen, In fact, I could barely do a proper five-sided star.
But maybe it was a skill issue so I bought some supplies for practice. I thought it would be cute to draw a family portrait of me and the others so I better start drawing and learning. I could also upgrade the drawing skill with the lesser upgrade cards I have but that would take out the fun from learning how to draw.

The next day-
It was already morning and the others were ready to leave. I also have placed all of our supplies inside our mobile magical RV. At times like this, I'm truly grateful for having a full-on mansion inside an RV. And I'm dam sure it would be a bitch to travel around if i didn't have my system storage.
"I'm gonna miss ya kids," I said as I gave a little head pat to them both.
they nodded with a smile.
"You better give us a card when you come back!" (Kanna)
"That's if you train well enough, do your best, and listen to your mother," I replied.
With their smiles undiminished, they returned to Jingliu, who was surrounded by the other Cloud Knights. They all came to see me off whenever I left the Luofu, even though they had busy schedules. I appreciated their support and presence.
I waved goodbye to them, and entered the RV's driver's seat, with Ban sitting beside me and Topaz making her way into the mansion at the back.
As I stepped on the pedal, we set off for the Blue Land, or, as it was now known, Fontain. I couldn't help but wonder if Fontain would resemble ancient France, with revolutions and turmoil, though they were currently dealing with a dragon problem.
