Brightcrown Canyon Battle

The sun shone brightly as Kazuki and Gray stood at the entrance of the legendary Brightcrown Canyon. The steep, rocky walls were dotted with various colourful wildflowers, and the air was thick with the scent of sagebrush and pine. A light breeze stirred the leaves of the tall trees, creating a symphony of rustling sounds.

Kazuki turned to Gray with a smile. "Looks like we finally arrived," he said. "After hearing many wonderful tales about the beauty of its wildflowers, deep green canyons, and tall trees, I was eager to see it for myself. The stories were right; this place is something else."

Gray nodded in agreement, then gestured to the path ahead. "You're overreacting. Let's go take a closer look," he said.

The two men began walking down the winding path, marvelling at the canyon's beauty. They spotted a few chipmunks scurrying about and some birds soaring high above, and they could hear the faint sound of a nearby waterfall. The sun lit up the canyon walls, making them seem to glow from within.

Gray paused to take it all in. "I take it back about you being overreacting. It's a sight to behold," he said.

Kazuki nodded. "Let's go a little further," he said.

The two men continued, taking their time to experience the canyon. After several minutes, they came upon a small clearing surrounded by a ring of pine trees. A large sandstone boulder stood in the centre of the clearing, and atop it was an old wooden chest.

Just then, Souei silently emerged from behind one of the trees surrounding the clearing. He bowed slightly and reported, "All the preparations had been done as you instructed."

Kazuki expressed his gratitude to the faithful companion before taking a seat on a nearby tree and waiting for Lumine and the others' arrival.

After a few minutes, Lumine appeared with Amber and Paimon in tow. The atmosphere was immediately energized by their presence. Lumine bowed her head apologetically, "My sincerest apologies for being behind schedule," she said. "One of us wanted to stay asleep longer even though we had agreed to get ready ahead of time."

"It's not Paimon fault that the last night Sweet Madame tastes heavenly. Paimon cannot stop eating it. So Paimon woke up late because of it." Paimon interjected playfully, offering an excuse for their tardiness, shifting the mood towards laughter.

Amber interjected with a gentle smile, acknowledging her companion's culinary indulgence, "Haha... It's truly a sight to behold that such a small body can devour that amount of food."

"Don't worry; we also just arrived a few minutes ago," Kazuki responded, reassuring them that they did not cause any inconvenience at all. "It's also good that you are enjoying your night's rest because today, we probably have much to do."

The party then continue their exploration into the canyon. They meet some hilichurl patrol along the way that they easily dispose of.

After a couple of hours of exploring, they arrive at a big clearing. Lush greenery and cascading waterfalls surrounded them, a stark contrast to the imminent danger that awaited them at the hilichurl's camp in the distance. They found out that there were not only a large number of normal hilichurls in the camp but also a couple of mitachurls and some samachurls.

A hushed discussion ensued among the companions as they deliberated the best course of action. It was Kazuki who realized that to ensure success, they must dismantle the enemy camp. He unveiled his intricate plan with a resolute voice, detailing each member's role with precision.

Kazuki assigned Gray and Lumine to take the front lines, relying on their unwavering bravery and exceptional combat skills. After a few quick instructions, he dispatched them while the rest of the group retreated further into the clearing.

With her unparalleled prowess in archery, Amber was tasked with providing ranged support, ensuring her arrows struck true. Paimon, who had been quietly observing the proceedings so far, prepared a number of healing potions to use during battle and guarded Amber's flank against any potential surprise attacks.

Souei, with his stealth and cunning, was assigned the responsibility of neutralizing any enemy rangers or mages that threatened the group's safety. He disappeared into the foliage as soon as his orders were given.

With everyone in place and preparations complete, Kazuki signalled for the battle to commence. Immediately Gray and Lumine charged towards their foes at full speed while Amber began showering arrows at anything that moved.

As the group caught their breath and celebrated their hard-earned victory, their jubilation was abruptly interrupted by a sinister presence that loomed above the ruined hilichurl camp. A chilling aura filled the air as an Abyss Mage materialized on top of the wreckage, his eyes glowing maliciously. "My plans have been thwarted by you meddling fools!" the Abyss Mage hissed, his voice laced with malice. "You dare to stand in my way? I shall make you pay for your insolence!"

"You think you can challenge the might of the Abyss? Foolish mortals, you will regret standing against me!" The Abyss Mage, infuriated by the party's interference and the destruction of his meticulously crafted plan, unleashed an eerie laughter that sent shivers down everyone's spine. Dark energy crackled in the air with a wave of his hand, and the ground beneath them trembled.

Suddenly, from the depths of the surrounding forest, hilichurls emerged, drawn by the Abyss Mage's spell. They swarmed towards the group, their numbers greater than ever before. It was a daunting sight as the hilichurls formed a chaotic mass, their weapons raised in a unified attack.

Kazuki's eyes narrowed, his mind racing to devise a new strategy in the face of this unexpected threat. His voice resonated with unwavering determination as he rallied his companions, "Everyone stays focused!"
