A clean freak?

"Do you wanna go grab some lunch first? I haven't eaten yet." Eden suggested after shaking Bennett's hand.

Grumble*

Bennett lightly scratched his chin with a light tinge of red present on his face after his stomach grumbled. "Huh... I guess I'm hungry too... Sure, a good snack before an adventure is essential, after all."

"Great," Eden lightly nodded. He then pointed at a restaurant not far away. "Let's go to Cat's Tail Bar. It's nearby anyways."

"Alright!" Bennett nodded in agreement. "It's been a while since I went to Cat's Tail. I wonder Prince is doing?"

"Prince? The mischievous black cat that always runs around?" Eden said as he remembered a certain cat.

"Yup, that's the one." Bennett raised a thumbs up. "People often associate black cats with misfortune, and well, since I'm unlucky, I figured that me and black cats would be best buds, y'know?"

A small laugh soon escaped Eden's mouth as he heard Bennett's claim. "Heh, that might be true."

Soon, the two of them started walking toward the Cat's Tail Bar that was near the plaza.

Almost instantly, a tavern sign with a cat symbol on it appeared in their vision accompanied by some distant meows of some cats.

Eden and Bennett then climbed the stairs leading to the door.

Ting*

With a sound of a bell, the door opened, and the two of them entered.

Sure enough, just like the name suggests, there were a lot of cats inside the bar. Some were resting, playing, or just staring at a drinking customer's soul in silence.

"Welcome," Shortly after entering, the two of them were greeted by a certain bartender. "What would it be for you two?"

Eden closed the door behind him and looked at the counter, however, he saw no bartender.

"Huh? Who spoke to us just now?" Bennett wondered as he approached the counter.

However, a somewhat infuriated voice soon answered him. "Down here!"

'Oh?' Eden very rarely pays a visit to Cat's Tail, as such, he wasn't able to meet this character ever since he transmigrated. As such, when he saw the small bartender, he couldn't help but wonder a little. 'Since this is the Cat's Tail, of course she would be here.'

"What are you two staring at?" The small bartender asked Bennett and Eden in an annoyed voice.

"Oh, sorry!" Bennett quickly apologized. "It's just that you were so small that I wasn't able to see you."

"Hmph, I'll let this one pass." The Bartender said. "Anyways, what do you two want to order? Or are you two like those boozehounds over there?"

The boozehounds in question were none other than the other customers who were drinking, well, booze.

And the bartender in question is none other than the proud Kätzlein blood demi-human, Diona.

This small bartender only has one goal: Destroy Mondstadt's wine industry!

To do this, she started to work as a bartender so that she can destroy the industry from within.

However, how can she possibly do that if all the drinks she makes end up great? Even if she deliberately splice disgusting ingredients, the drink would still turn out great.

It's as if she's cursed to make only great drinks. Well, for the Cat's Tail customers, it was a blessing.

"No, I'm not particularly fond of heavy drinks." Eden sat down on one of the chairs on the counter and offered a faint smile. "I'll just have one Frostine's Embrace cocktail as well as one grilled cheese sandwich and one cream stew."

"How about you Bennett?" Eden turned to Bennett who also sat down.

"Um, I'll also have what my friend will have." Bennett also picked what Eden chose.

"Are you sure? Although 'Frostine's Embrace' is a light drink, it's still VERY cold, you know?" One of 'Frostine's Embrace's key ingredients is a Mist Flower, which can freeze any water it touches.

For someone who has quite bad luck, drinking such a drink might result in some... casualty.

However, Bennett shook his head with a bright and passionate smile. "Hah, so what? Life's all about experiencing new things! As an adventurer, how can I possibly venture into deep domains if I can't even drink a cold drink?"

Eden listened to him and couldn't help but curl up a small intrigued smile. He then shook his head with a smile. "Seriously... You're so passionate about life. Sometimes I envy you."

"Heh." Bennett smiled brightly as he received a compliment from his friend.

"Is that all? Alright, it'll be ready in twenty minutes." Diona listed their orders down and headed into the kitchen to give the order to the cook.

While waiting for their food, Eden and Bennett continued to discuss their plans for their first mission as teammates. However, they soon changed seats and moved to a table.

After a while, their orders finally arrived. Diona walked in front of them and placed their order on their table. "Here you go."

"Alright, chow time." Bennett prepared himself and picked up a spoon.

Eden also picked up his spoon and started eating the cream soup first.

While eating, Eden noticed Bennett eating and saw the cream soup splashing out of his bowl.

One even managed to stain Bennett's shirt. However, he seems to have not noticed it and continued to eat his food.

For some reason, no matter how much Eden tried to ignore it, the stain on the shirt continued to bother him.

After the two of them completed eating their cream soup, Eden extended his hand to his pocket and pulled out a clean white handkerchief, and wiped his mouth clean.

He then pulled another handkerchief from his other pocket and handed it to Bennett. "You have a stain on your shirt there."

"Oh, you're right." Bennett noticed the cream soup stain on his shirt and took Eden's handkerchief. "Thanks, Eden."

"It's no problem." Eden gave a faint smile and a slight nod before picking up his cocktail.

He then took a sip.

'Urgh...' Shortly after taking a gulp, Eden experienced a brain freeze. But it soon disappeared and a fresh and fruity flavor remained in his mouth. 'Nice drink... maybe I should buy this often.

"Ack! BRAIN FREEZE!" However, Bennett seems to have experienced a much more extreme outcome.

"Told you." Eden sighed with a wry smile at his friend.

"Huff... that brain freeze was no joke." Since Bennett has a Pyro Vision, it's only natural for him to increase his body temperature to resist the cold. As such he was able to quickly recover from the Brian freeze. "It's like being double-teamed on again by hydro and cryo slimes again."

"Again?" Eden said with an amused smile as he imagined Bennett getting permafreeze'd by slimes. "That's rough..."

"Anyways..." Bennett changed the topic. "I just realized it now that I've looked at your side of the table..."

"You're really tidy, aren't you? Bennett said as he looked at the almost sparkling side of the table that has been wiped clean by Eden.

"Hm? Really?" Truth be told, Eden also noticed this weird behavior of his. He was never a clean freak to start with, so he didn't know where this sense of cleanliness came from. "Must have developed it unconscious..."

Of course, there's also another possibility... Such as the traits of "Humanity's Strongest Soldier" being passed onto him since they are on the same bloodline.

'But that's too surreal.' Eden silently agreed to himself and ignored the possibility that rose in his mind.

The two continued to talk whilst eating and occasionally drinking their cocktails before finally finishing.

"Oof, that was a good lunch." Bennett said with satisfaction.

"Yeah, it was." Eden nodded with satisfaction while wiping his mouth with a handkerchief.

"Anywho, after we pay, let's—" Just as Eden was about to finish his sentence, Bennett noticed someone enter the Cat's Tail.

"Huh? Isn't that...?" Bennett instantly recognized who it was.

Honestly, who wouldn't recognize the person Bennett just recognized?

With an enthusiastic voice, Bennett called out for the person he recognized. "Fischl! Over here!"

'Hm?' Eden heard who it was and immediately turned his head. 'Oh no...'

"Oh? Most splendid! Well, if it isn't this Prinzessin's most loyal companion and the flame chaser that shines at the dawn of morning, Bennett." The girl named Fischl saw Bennett and instantly responded to him.

"Truly, even one's own precognition didn't think that I'll meet you here. Splendid, most splendid!" The girl called Fischl made quite a few poses as she spoke.

'The Chuuni is here.' Eden silently thought.
