109 Old Mondstadt

"Decarabian..." Allen whispered as he remembered all his information about it. Decarabian, the Lord of the Tower, the God of Storms and the ruler of old Mondstadt.

'If this is a memory, an important event, that we need to complete, would it be the fall of old Mondstadt? Fischl is from Mondstadt so it makes sense that this event is due to her' Allen looked over the clouded sky surrounded by a storm 'It's clear that Decarabian is in all his power, would I be able to face directly against him using my Delusion?' Allen looked over his Delusion 'Let's keep it as an ace for now.'

'Now, who I am? I should be someone part of the story' Allen took the notebook that he found in his clothes and started reading trying to learn more about him. However, it was no diary, instead it was a notebook full of songs and poems.

'It seems that he was some type of barb. Have I become the nameless barb?' Allen thought about it. From what he had read the nameless barb was the hero of the war against Decarabian, the one that joined everyone in the crusade against the god, finally dying in the war.

'Unfortunately, not much is known about him, not even his name, or how he started his rebellion. All of it being more of a legend... How should I proceed from now on? I might not even be him'

Allen looked over the notebook and the lyre 'Let's try it'

"♪Should you be trapped in a Windless Land♪" Allen jumped into the middle of the plaza and started singing while playing his lyre. Allen didn't know anything about music and instruments before, but after acquiring his Delusion, he obtained the knowledge and talent to play almost any instrument, the lyre or reading some musical notes, not being a problem at all.

"♪Oh poor little bird, unable to see the blue sky...♪" As Allen continued with his song, he started gaining more attention, more people approaching him and contemplating his song, most of them looking over the sky and even extending their hands over it, wanting to see what lies behind the strong gales.

"Stop!" Allen was forced to stop his singing as an arrow landed just between his feet. Looking over the direction of the shot, Allen saw a beautiful woman with long white hair and white hunting tribal clothes while wielding a purple and white bow.

"Clear the plaza! Everyone return to your home!" The young woman declared, some soldiers came and started pushing the crowd apart, clearing a path for the woman to reach Allen.

"Under the rule of lord Decarabian, you are arrested" The woman declared and Allen simply lifted his hands in surrender, letting his hands be tied by the woman and dragged around.

'Let's see where this goes' Allen could sense his Delusion 'At least until I can no longer escape.'

...

The soldiers dispersed everyone and in the end, it was only the woman that brought Allen to an underground jail, putting him in a cell.

"Are you still arresting innocent people, Amos? Hip!" From the next cell, Allen saw a drunken man in his thirties with a behaved appearance and uncared flaming red hair. "Now even young boys."

"I don't do it because I like it, Ragn." Amos sighed tiredly "Why can't you understand our lord? These gales are here to protect us. Lord Decarabian is our savior. There's no blue sky beyond only an infinite blizzard."

"So what's better than caging everyone and controlling them as slaves, arresting anyone that shows the minimum resistant" Ragn drink some alcohol "What did you do, boy?"

"I sang a song" Allen answered, trying all the time to read between lines of their conversation "about freedom."

"What a sinful boy. Haha" Ragn laughed.

"You know that we can't let people extend those ideas. That would only make more people leave."

"So better be eternally caged here, accepting this reality as normal".

"Better that than to die!" Amos shouted "I saw a lot of people dying out there, I don't want anyone more to be sacrificed. That's why I love Decarabian, he is our only savior and the only hope in this twisted world."

"Repeat it as much as you want until you are fully convinced" Ragn continued with his drink, deciding to ignore it.

Finishing their fight, Amos turned towards Allen with a regretful face "Sorry for arresting you, but I need to do it" Amos returned the lyre to Allen "It was a beautiful song, but please understand Decarabian's pleas. We can't leave this haven, only deadly snow and ice await outside without his protection."

"I understand" Allen took the lyre.

"I'll let you free tomorrow once everything has cooled a little." Amos turned towards Ragn "Please, don't become like that man who was a great warrior who had abandoned all his beliefs and doesn't dare to move, preferring to waste his time here." Then she left the jail without looking back.

"So that's why you have decided? Not doing anything?" Allen asked Ragn once they were alone.

"You are too young to understand anything" Ragn answered coldly.

"No, I understand." Allen answered with a smile "You are afraid. You don't like how things are now, but you won't try to change it, preferring to waste yourself."

"There's nothing I can do!" Ragn shouted angrily.

"That's the excuse you tell yourself, eh? As you told Amos, have you fully been convinced yet?" Allen grinned.

"You!" Ragn growled with fury.

"♪I do so wish to see the birds in flight♪" Allen played the lyre and as reacting to it, a shining light green sphere appeared in front of him. The light sphere took shape, showing a little fairy with a blue and white coat covering his body and flying with two little wings.

Allen's grin become bigger as the light of the fairy was passed into his lyre. Allen could feel what it was, Elemental Energy!

"♪Friend, will you not come along?♪" Allen sang to the fairy who giggled with the music and nodded happily.

"Freedom!♪" *BOOM!* from the lyre, a shock wave was shot over the place, not only destroying the jail bars but all the buildings without damaging them, releasing over the vast sky.

Allen stood up and turned over Ragn, extending his hand to him "Will you not follow along?"

*Fush* A pillar of green light shot from the sky, piercing through the powerful gales and surrounding Allen and the fairy. And there, in the sky, two shiny stars illuminated brightly at both.

Ragn's eyes went wide seeing the image of the boy and fairy illuminated by the celestial light.

"What happened?!" Suddenly, Amos appeared between the debris with her bow drawn "I don't know how you did it, but surrender now!" Amos demanded pointing an arrow to Allen who stood still with a relaxed expression.

"It seems that you have made your decision..." Allen smiled.

"What are you talk-?" Before she could ask her question, Amos was striked by a strong hit at the back of her neck, making her fall unconscious to the ground.

"...Ragn" Allen smiled at Ragn who had knocked down Amos with the great speed and precise movements of a true warrior.

"It seems that the time to move has finally arrived" Ragn smiled taking Allen's hands "Where should we go now?"

"Where else?" Allen pointed towards the walls covering the city of Mondstadt "To freedom!♪"

Both started running towards outside the city before the other guards surrounded them, escaping from them while the fairy followed them.

'I am the youth' Looking at Ragn and the fairy next to him, Allen smiled 'I already have my flame-haired warrior and my Elf.' He looked back at Amos's unconscious body 'the archer is not ready yet so...' Allen turned over the outside world and their next destination 'Let's find the Knight!'

...

Over the tallest tower of Mondstadt, aqua-green eyes opened in the darkness of the room. They looked over the sky, seeing the shiny new stars over it. "The spirit is trying to rob my divinity? I'll devour it!"
