107 God and Mission?

Allen gulped as his body started involuntary trembling under Alice's strong gaze.

'Those eyes' Seeing the powerful eyes fixed on him, Allen has a sense of familiarity with that sensation. It seemed similar to his time with the Kitsune spirit, Yae Miko, but the pressure was totally different. Alice seemed far more like Pierro, the strongest of the Harbingers, those eyes that seemed to see far away. Meaning...

'She is a monster.' Allen thought as he thought about his Delusion 'Not someone I can face even as Columbina.'

"I'll be happy if you answer promptly, I still need to give dinner to my daughter" Alice stated "Why are you here? What is your mission?"

"I don't understand the question" 'Could it be that she is aware I am from the Fatui?' Allen thought nervously.

"There's no need to hide it. I know that your soul is not from this world unlike your body" Alice explained shocking Allen.

"How?! Who are you?" Allen really couldn't think of anything to explain it. How was it possible for Alice to discover his secret just like that.

"I'm Alice, the same as you. Someone from another world summoned here, in another body, to complete my mission" Alice explained "Now that I presented myself, what god had summoned you in this world? For what mission?"

"I truly don't understand!" Allen shouted.

At that answer, Alice blinked "The previous time there were some doubts, but now you seem to be telling the truth." She mumbled thoughtfully "Meaning that you came here, especially at Mondstadt, for some mission, but you truly aren't aware of your reason to be in this world." Alice stepped back, letting Allen room to breathe.

"When you came to this world, didn't you meet a god?" Alice asked.

"Not that I could remember" Allen breathed and calmed down as Alice pressure lowered "I was drowning in a lake and suddenly I found myself in this new world in a new body." Allen's eyes shined for a moment.

"Did you remember something?" Alice inquired seeing the instant change in his eyes.

"I needed to save my sister. The sister of this body. That was what I was forced to do" Allen explained as he remembered before Joseph's and Allen's souls fused.

"That's not it" Alice shook her head "That's the remaining will of your body, not your mission."

"I, for example, was summoned by the main god of Celestia and my mission was to stabilize this world whose ley lines and borders are in chaos after the opening of the Abyss during the Cataclysm. If it weren't for me, this world would have fallen all apart."

"Couldn't it be that I am a different case?" Allen asked, clearly never remembering the meeting of a god before coming to this world.

"I doubt it" Alice stated "There are other otherworlders, but they come over cracks in the space, with their bodies or they were directly born here."

"How can you be so sure that's my case?"

"It's simple. To complete your mission you have the necessary tools. An apt body and a special soul. In my case, the body that I possessed was from an Elf. Elves are quite a special and rare race here in Teyvat. We had long life spans and we have immense talent and obsession over a certain area, putting all our effort into it and reaching the top."

"It could be trivialities as playing cards, running, cooking or some more influential as fighting, alchemy or even in explosions" Alice said the last remembering her daughter. "My case is a special one and my specialty is everything! I'm good at everything that's the talent of this body" Alice said proudly "I might not reach the level of some other obsessive Elf in their area, but I'm better than most at whatever I try."

"And for the quality of my soul, I have a huge elemental capability plus" Alice pointed at her eyes "my eyes are all-seeing. I can see through everything, truth or lie, physical or esoteric, it does no matter while it's from Teyvat."

"With these eyes, I can see the broken destiny of your body and how your soul had created somewhat of a black hole around you, distorting the destiny of everyone near you."

"When the will of the world and a god who reigns over its destiny are one mind, that's the only time when a champion like us can be summoned, someone capable of fighting that terrible destiny." Alice explained "Like me who had traveled all over Teyvat, repairing the Ley lines, thing impossible without my All-seeing eyes and my talents."

"I was informed of it when I came, but if that's not your case, how could I know your mission?" Alice said thoughtfully "Allen, what are your body talents and soul quality?"

Allen doubted for a second. His body's talent should be the one with swords, but he had already shown as Columbina, preferring to keep it a secret as Allen.

"Unlike against others, I can't read through your mind, but I can read your doubts in your face" Alice stated "I'm aware that you are a Fatui, traces of Snezhanaya being all over the insides of your body, from the quantity of hemoglobin to the defenses against common diseases from there. You also had passed quite the time over Inazuma."

"I also detected that True Delusion over your pocket. Do not worry, it does not matter to me. I am not an enemy nor a friend of the Tsaritsa. I even have a non-aggression deal with her and her elites, but I'll ask one thing. Do you want to put Mondstadt in danger?"

'It might be right that she can't read my thought, but that doesn't mean I can lie to her.' Allen thought 'What a monster.' "No, I don't have ill meaning towards Mondstadt."

"But...?" Alice pushed the question.

"I might put it in danger for my own objective." Allen stated.

"Oh yes, the Gnosis" Alice nodded "I doubt that it will be much of a problem for Barbatos to lose it as he really doesn't use it. I'll let you go for now, but be aware if something happens with my daughter." Alice turned cold, her eyes piercing over Allen "You're dead."

"Anyway!" Alice clapped returning to normal "We were talking about your talents."

"I have a talent with swords. Being able to copy and even evolve any swordsmanship with just seeing or sensing it once." Allen explained "About the quality of the soul, I don't know. People told me that I am immune to the Abyss' influence."

"The Abyss not affecting us is normal for us whose souls are stronger than normal, but swords..." Alice thought about it, before turning towards Allen "Could it be that you have a block in your soul?"

"How did you know?" Allen was shocked by Alice's brain process "I was told before that my soul is blocked."

"That might explain why you don't remember meeting any god, those memories being also locked for now, along with the power of your soul" Alice analyzed "It should be a way to protect you until your body is ready to carry it and use the power of your soul."

"I suppose that until that moment, we will be unable to know your true purpose in this world" Alice stated "Sorry to have scared you, if you discover something, please tell me. I might be able to help and for your information, I'm quite a good help." Alice winked at Allen as she prepared to leave.

"Alice, can I ask something?" Allen said seriously.

"It's something about the other world? I was Japanese there, we could someday have some drinks and discuss it or do you want to return? I'm sorry but that will be impossible for me."

"It's not that. My life now is here that's something that I decided long ago, so returning to Earth does not matter much to me" Allen negated "It's about your power. You have the ability to see destiny and I have the capacity to break it. Would not ignoring me be counterproductive, making useless your ability?"

"So it was that" Alice nodded "Allen, destiny is not a truly fixed thing. It is like a rope that opens as countless threats showing all the possible futures. I use my powers to search and choose the best one. But you know..." Alice turned serious "there's not even one good. It does not matter how many of them are, all of them end the same, utter destruction. The only difference being the duration until that moment."

"I love this world and that's why I make everything in my power to keep it alive" Alice explained "You could destroy all my work, making the destruction more imminent, but at the same time, you are the one that can destroy those destinies and who knows, maybe create a good one."

"Don't worry about your secrets, I'll keep them for myself. But you owe me one" Saying this and leaving Allen thoughtful, Alice left the place "We'll meet again."

'Gods, destiny, destruction and my mission' Allen thought 'What would be my true destiny?'
