There was nothing floating on the stem as I had seen it in the game. That item Anemo element made was not there. Couldn't I see it? But there was also the possibility that the Traveler had already gotten it...

Not finding it, I could only lament. I walked behind the tree, but those element-activated puzzles weren't there either, even though this world seemed to be based on the video game. Maybe they had already been solved long ago.

With a sigh I walked out onto the path that apparently led to Mondstat City. After walking for quite some time, I began to think that this is a pretty bad situation. First of all, I have no food. No water either. Even if I make it to the city, after that? I have no money.

What should I do now?

If you think about it logically, the only option available was to look for work? Well, I could think about that after I get to the city.

Then...

Boom!

At that moment, there was a huge boom, like an explosion. From my cheeks, I could feel how a warm wind blew from my right side.

Looking in that direction, my eyes widened slightly as I saw smoke rising into the sky. The location wasn't far away, though because of the hill I couldn't see what was happening on the other side.

'Could it be a fight? I'm curious...'

The hill was not high, so I climbed up fairly quickly and found the commotion source. In a clearing with few trees around, there was a small camp, if it could be called that, formed by some sticks holding a cloth that served as a makeshift roof. In front, a campfire was still burning.

In front of me a strange scene was unfolding. Human-looking but oddly behaved creatures were in a standoff.

Their torso and feet were bare, with large hair covering their heads and two pointed ears sticking out. They wore only a loincloth, and arms and legs wrapped in loose bandages. Their faces were not visible because of the masks.

I recognized these creatures as Hilichurls, common monsters you could encounter in Genshin Impact game. In front of these monsters danced a teddy animal that captured all the attention. The monsters threw themselves on the teddy, and wielding flaming wooden sticks, they beat it.

How cruel. That teddy is cute...

Suddenly, a fiery arrow traced a flaming arc and struck a Hilichurl's head.

It shook and fell. Then the teddy increased in size, and a few seconds later, exploded into flames, throwing the nearby Hilichurls. The only two survivors stood up while making strange noises behind the mask. And as if they were extremely enraged, they violently waved the wooden stick in their hands as they advanced toward the enemy before them.

For the first time, I turned my gaze to the Hilichurls' opponent. She was a beautiful girl dressed in red. She drew the string of her bow and breathed fire into the arrow.

Her fingers released the string and it traced a course straight for the head of a Hilichurl, knocking it down. Only one remained, and no sooner had a few seconds passed when a second arrow pierced it.

The girl flashed a big white-toothed smile as she picked up her teddy. She seemed to say something but from a distance I was not heard. After shaking her teddy a couple of times, she hung it on her waist.

While I was thinking whether I should reveal myself or whether I should just walk away from there as if I hadn't seen anything, at that moment, another Hilichurls group approached.

"She's a starting character in the game, with her recognition in Mondstat, I'll be able to enter the city without any problems."

Without thinking too much about it, I jumped up and ran towards the battle. At first glance the Hilichurls didn't look particularly strong fighting the girl in red.

Although that only applied in specific situations, at this moment it was of great help.

My body was filled with a soft sensation as I was enveloped by the Anemo element. My speed doubled and I appeared next to her, who was tightening her bowstring. Our gazes met for a few seconds before she passed me by. I clenched my fists tightly, ducked down and with all the momentum I generated, punched the face of a nearby Hilichurl.

My eyes widened like saucers, the Hilichurl's head had exploded in a burst of blood!

What the hell, I thought I'd just throw it, not actually kill it in one blow!

I'm not bald, am I?!

Maybe the goddess had given me too much physical strength... Maybe it was even to be expected. Even though the Anemo element that covered every part of my body, it also served to strengthen my already absurd physique by a small margin.

As I watched the headless monster, and despite the fact that they were not human, killing a creature for the first time, a feeling of guilt and disgust floated through my mind. For a simple human like me, that was indeed predictable.

However, as those thoughts floated through my head, four more Hilichurls appeared in a group. Of the aforementioned four, two of them advanced towards my direction.

With the fire-covered wooden sticks in their hands, I read the Hilichurl's movement calmly, easily overtaking their movement.

Remembering the techniques of a certain anime character whose hair color changed as fast as a woman's underwear, I tried to duplicate the technique.

I focused the Anemo element on a point around my arm. The wind quickly condensed around my hand into something that resembled a sharp wind blade.

As if unsheathing a sword, we crossed each other in an instant. At that moment, the Hilichurl's neck flew into the air and rolled vigorously on the ground.

"Ey. I'm here too!"

At the same time I heard that animated voice, one of the Hilichurls that rushed to attack me is suddenly pierced by a flaming arrow. It seems that the girl dressed in red supported me with her Pyro Element.

As the girl struggled with an excited look near me, in the corner of my mind, I thought, "Oh, I understand the language." I was really relieved. Thank you, goddess.

After a few moments, I cut down the last remaining Hilichurl before me while dodging its attacks. The Hilichurl immediately fell and stopped moving.

When I turned my gaze to the girl dressed in red, the jumping Hilichurl receives a spinning arrow in the stomach and is blown away. The last Hilichurl that was nearby is also burned by the flames. Woah... she's really strong.
