17 Mondstadt Pt.5

It's been a week since Aether entered Mondstadt and became an adventure. He has earned a lot of Mora and battle experience. Aether also snuck into the training grounds and had been training relentlessly in everything.

Aether can now summon fireballs out of nowhere. He can also create a wind drill and can summon them from under the ground if he wants to. He has more muscles and has a growing four pack now.

When he combined the two elements. It always ends up in a bigger and more explosive fire. He ended up naming it "natural fire" as wind is literally oxygen mixed with Carbon Dioxide and other types of air molecules.

(It sounds like a lot and it is. But Aether's really pushing himself a lot.)

So his weapons can be fully imbued with fire which is super sick to look at. He also created a new technique aside from the ones he has. He took inspiration from the Chinese Protection God Nezha. Aether can create a spinning fire wheel from his hands and behind his back. Nezha uses the wheel to fly but Aether is still working on the flying part.

It deals a lot of damage. It spins like crazy as Aether's wind element is imbued in it. It took a lot of trail and error to make it work. Paimon said she's going to get a stroke if something like that happens again.

Now, Aether is currently walking in the woods. He just exterminated a hilichurl camp for a commission. He wishes he could do more but he needs to have the money first then he can go ham on exploring. When the cleanup crew arrives they will see a lot of burnt and cleanly cut up hilichurls on the ground.

Then Aether sensed something."So much pressure. Why is there a big ass shadow covering this whole forest." Aether thinks he knows who it is but he needs to confirm it.

He hid behind a tree and looked out. "Ahhh there he is. Stormterror. Otherwise known as Dvalin. But I'll call him Stormterror as it sounds cooler." Aether thought and Paimon appeared with a scared face. He looked at her.

"Don't make a sound. I know it's scary for you. Don't worry Paimon,my body is shaking from the pressure the dragons emitting. Just go back into my mind and calm down there." Aether reassured Paimon that she can be safe somewhere.

"Paimon will go do that later. Paimon wants to see for herself." Paimon whispered and

"Just stay behind me and don't make a noise." Aether said and Paimon nodded getting behind him.

"In canon Dvalin flew away due to us making noise. This time we will make noise. But Venti won't find out if it's us if we hide." Aether thought. He saw a stick beside the tree. He motioned for Paimon to follow him. She flew with him. He made sure to crouch walk over the stick.

*Crack!*

Venti and Stormterror looked over to where the sound was. Aether immediately pulled Paimon to hide behind the tree. "Disappear for now Paimon." Paimon nodded and disappeared leaving stars behind.

"Who's there! Come out now!" No one answered. The dragon flew away.

"Wait! Dvalin no!" Venti looked back again and went after Dvalin. But he never got to catch him as Dvalin flew too fast he disappeared from Venti and Aether's view. He ran away.

"Oof. That was scary. Stormterror or Venti would've found me in an instant. But they didn't. How strange. Is it because I have no vision?" Aether thought and Paimon appeared again.

"Aaaaaaah!! That was so scary! Paimon was sure she would've get eaten by that dragon for a second?" Paimon shouted.

"Well we didn't. And I'm sure that person was talking to a dragon. You think he's Barbatos?" Aether asked Paimon.

" I don't know. Barbatos was said to have disappeared for hundreds of years now. We couldn't have been that lucky to meet him talking to a dragon." Paimon was skeptical about it.

"Great. Now we have a dragon speaker on the loose. Amber said that Stromterror did appear in Mondstadt. The dragon before looked evil. And that guy looked so much like that Barbatos statue I'm convinced it's the same guy." Aether put forward his point.

"So.... you're saying Barbatos is the one who's commanding Stormterror to appear in Mondstadt? He's evil?" Paimon asked shocked.

"Why disappear for a hundred years then appear again commanding your friend to almost attack the city you protected? That's too many holes." Aether said walking to the spot where the dragon was in.

" Yeah that did seem too good to be true. Paimon thinks that that Barbatos look alike is trying to make Stormterror good again." Paimon put forward her two Mora.

"That seems even more believable. I think we'll believe that for now. We must deep deeper. The god's and the dragon's signature is gone now. We should head back. But before that, what is this?" Aether said walking towards a red teardrop crystal. Aether touched it. He could feel that It was very corrupted.

"What's that? Paimon thinks it looks like a teardrop." Paimon said flying over curiously.

"It might be the dragon's teardrop. It feels so evil and corrupted." Aether agreed.

"What do we do about it?" Paimon asked.

"We keep it to ourselves. Who knows when we might use it." Aether said and put it in his backpack.

"Okay. Let's go back to Mondstadt now. Paimon wants to have some pancakes for lunch! Ooooooooo Paimon wonders what it will taste like....." Paimon began to drool.

"You're drooling already Paimon. We're not even near the gates of Mondstadt." Aether said amused.

"Yeah! Paimon's very hungry. Paimon will order double for lunch. That's if we have Mora to pay for it. Do you have Mora to pay for pancakes?" Paimon asked Aether.

"Yes I do. But only order double for yourself. I don't want a bill that I can't pay." Aether warned.

"Mhm! Paimon will promise you that!" Paimon nodded her head and promised.

"Sure hope you keep your word." Aether thought and they went back to Mondstadt.

After arriving, they received they're rewards for completing the commissions and went to Good Hunter.

Aether is in the training ground doing pushups. He lunch all but melted into fat and is still burning with his pyro magic.

"Halt! Trespasser! This is the Knights of Favonius! Raise your hands and come with us quietly!" A knight came forward with a spear shouted and pointed it to Aether.

Aether got up. Paimon who was resting flew behind Aether.

"Heh. The Knights only sent you. Are you suicidal or something?" Aether said raising a hand to protect Paimon.

"Disappear Paimon. I don't want you to be in a middle of a battlefield." Aether whispered.

"Be safe..."Paimon whispered and disappeared.

"Heh. We bought more than you think." The Knight smirked and raised his hands. ☝️👈.

More knights came out pointing their spears at him as if they're ready to charge at him at a moments notice.

"You guys are stupid. Revealing your position so soon. You really are suicidal." Aether smirked evilly and the surroundings got darker. Meanwhile in Aether's bag, the crystal got redder. As if the crystal is fuelling Aether's killing intent.

Aether summoned his sword and spear. Both of them turned into fire immediately.

The Knights were shaking on their feet. The commander of the Knights was also shaking but not as worse as the recruits.

"Tch. If you don't comply with us! Then you will die! Charge!" He shouted and the men gulped and charged at him. Steam came out of Aether

"In the name of Barbato— Ack!" One knight charged in but was caught by the neck by Aether. He raised the man up with one hand. Exercise really helps.

"Ack.... Agh..... ugh..... gah....." The man dropped his sword. He was suffocated and now he is knocked out. Aether dropped him. He stared at the rest.

"Wanna die as well...

"Ahhh!!!!" Another man charged at him with anger. Aether dodged his spear charge and used his own fire spear to strike in the back of his leg.

"AHHHH!!!" The man fell to the ground his leg broken. Aether used the back of his spear and struck him in his nose.

*CRACK!* His nose was broken, burnt and is now bleeding. Barbara is going to faint when she sees the injuries these knights will have.

Aether saw another man charging at him. He used his sword and broke the spear he was holding.

*Pshsbskajzjs*

The Knight lost his momentum and fell forward. Aether kicked him in his face with his right leg.

*Psh!*

The Knight flies left and is knocked with a bloody and bruised face. Another guy striked down with his spear. Aether parried and used his blade and slashed the spear. It broke. Aether kicked the man on the chin and he flew up. He's going to have a flat jaw now, all thanks to Aether.

There were only a few left and Aether decided to finish them off. He didn't care if he was going to jail for this. He'll break out of it anyways. A spinning fire wheel appeared on his hands. It spun crazily. Aether looked at them and grinned.

"Die."

"Stop!" Aether looked at where the sound came from. The remaining Knights eyes widened.

"Captain Kaeya!" They were saved. Aether still remained emotionless.

*Clap clap clap clap clap!*

"Hmmm..... Does he want to die as well?" Aether thought a spinning fire wheel appearing behind his back.
