Chapter 2 The Beginning

Carl awakes finding himself alone, around him is white as far as the eye can see.

"Is this heaven? I know i died but where am I?" Carl asked himself

"The after life?" Looking around he decides to walk at a random direction after walking for a while he decides to try something.

"HELLO!!!" He shouts "IS ANY BODY HERE!!!?"

Still no response he tries again and again still nothing. He decides to continue on with his walking.

"If this is heaven i wonder what hell looks like, wait maybe i'm in hell and all of my sins caught up to me" Carl stops sits down thinking back on his past mistakes.

"Oh God i really done it now, this sucks no one else is here is this my personal hell? being a lone?"

"Wait of I've been alone all my life I've never bother to to try to have anyone's company Except....."

"Debby, Damn i miss her already, she's always been there for me"

"I mean what choice did i have?" A voice said out of nowhere.

Carl was startled and soon tried to look for the voice. It sounded like Debby "Debby is that you?" Carl yelled.

"Yes that's me" Debby voice could be heard but Carl couldn't seem to pin point where it's coming from.

"Debby where are you?" Carl yelled again frantically looking.

"In your head Genius" Debby said in an annoyed tone.

Carl had to slap himself "haha of course, sorry i thought i lost you, i mean im the only one here".

"Not anymore" Debby added seemingly happy.

"Great goof that i'm not alone anymore but how'd you get here? How were you able to follow me here" Carl asked.

"Well that's a secrete and it was a huge gamble by the way I didn't know if it was going to work" Debby answered.

In truth Debby had fried Car'ls brain hoping to get destroyed in the process but Debby has chosen to keep this to herself.

Everyone in the room had been shocked and baffled. Thinking that Debby had died along side with Carl which was part of the truth.

"Well i'm just glad you're here"

"I'm glad too"

"Now that where here do you know where we are?"

"I'm not sure, it looks like a place where your mind goes when you die"

"But what does it mean" Carl asked.

Just then a big hole appeared above them.

"I think were about to find out" Debby said worried.

"Should i run?" Carl asked.

"Oh cool you've got your legs, which means you should take the time to use it and now would be a very good time, Now run" Debby yelled.

Carl ran well at least tried to because as he took his first step he he was sucked up into the hole.

In the kingdom of Holdenfeld situated in the southern continent of Gaia. A new born baby is born into a village chiefs family.

"Vern look i found a baby out in the streets, poor thing was quite that i had thought it was dead" The woman who had dark black hair and a tanned skin. She had deep brown eyes from up close she looked about in her late twenties. She looked pretty to the eyes with curves that complimented her small starure.

"Mavis what have i said about bringing back strays last time you brought home a pig thinking it was lost" The man Vern said in a sternful voice "Farmer Hedley still thinks that we stole him which you basically did" He too had dark hair and deep brown eyes. Also in his late twenties Vern was a tall man second tallest in the village. He had a strong build the result of doing manual labor on his farm.

Vern and Mavis are this villages cheiftain gaining the title because of Vern's contribution to Holdenfelds war between it's neighbor the Korgen empire.

"But just look at him we can't just leave a baby out in the streets now can we, Plus you know that you and I aren't able to have a child" Mavis added with sadness in her voice. "Doctor Rosella said so her self".

Vern and Mavis have been in love since they were children and now since he married her on their 18th birthday they have tried to get a child but to no avail.

Vern although reluctant agreed to keep the baby, all he wanted was to keep Mavis happy and she has always wanted a baby. But ever since she found out that she couldn't her heart was broken often secluding herself in her room.

"Let me see him" Vern said putting out his arms as Mavis placed the baby onto his arms.

"He's different" Vern muttered looking at the baby on his arms. The baby had fair white skin and golden blonde hair. Completely different from the two.

"Yes he is but that make him more cute" Mavis added.

"But what's this on the back on his head? some sort of cut or scar" Vern studied the scar more. It was precise and clean although it would be very hard to notice and you would need to look closely to see it.

"I say that too but maybe it's a birthmark" Mavis said as she took back the baby.

"What should we name him?" Vern asked.

With that question Mavis's eyes lit up. "I've always wanted a child name Brann, it means fate and fate has brought him to us".

"I like it" Vern nodded "Brann Ashflame that's his name"
