A battle of illusions: Shisui vs Kagami!

The fight between Shisui and Kagami was intense. Nearly Everything was reduced to rubble, the trees that remained were a mere mockery of what they used to be. They all looked lifeless, their brown color turned dark, and smoke covered the area.

The air cleared, and Shisui widened his eyes after seeing a giant yellow humanoid ribcage covering Kagami.

"This is pointless fighting, we're family! I don't want to fight you.

You're my idol.

My grandfather…"

"What?" Kagami widened his eyes and stopped fighting, his Susanoo dispersed as he started remembering his son.

"It's true, I'm Yagami's son.

I'm your grandson."

"Yagami…"

Kagami frowned.

"That explains why you have his tanto." He said while holding his Katana out.

Fire began covering the blade,

"Then I'll feel even worse for killing you."

Shisui's eyes widened,

'That's right, I have to release him from Danzo's control.' Shisui remembered.

Yagami made a hand seal and started flickering towards Shisui, leaving afterimages of himself.

Shisui flickered towards Yagami too in the same way but faster, to the average eye their movements would be too quick to process, even for a Sharingan user.

Cling!

They clashed blades in the middle.

Shisui went for a kick, but Kagami ducked and countered with a leg sweep.

"Ung!" Shisui hit the floor, but flickered backward before Kagami hit the ground with his sword.

"Shisui, how did you get my eyes?"

"Let's just say sensei made a deal with someone who got them from Danzo."

"I see." Kagami made a hand sign.

"Fire style: Fireball barrage!"

Kagami quickly flickered into the air and back, shooting giant fireballs at Shisui.

'What kind of jutsu is this…?'

Shisui turned into a clone just as it was about to hit and appeared behind Kagami.

"What? Genjutsu?"

Kagami looked behind him and saw Shisui covered in lightning chakra and aiming it with a tanto.

Shisui released lightning in every direction from his hand,

"Chidori stream!"

Kagami couldn't react in time.

Boom!

A surge of lightning spread through the battlefield and shocked Kagami.

"Huff… Huff…"

Shisui was sweating and panting.

He slowly walked towards Kagami with his Mangekyou on,

"You were even greater than they make you out to be, grandfather.

That's why I didn't use this jutsu until the very last moment.

I've freed you from Danzo's control. I wanted to learn more from you, and I did."

"Hmph…" A smile arose on Kagami's face.

"You weren't that bad either, Shisui." He said with a smile.

Kagami seemed less on edge after being released from Danzo's control.

"How did you do it? Releasing me from the reanimation jutsu?"

Shisui pointed at his eye.

"My Mangekyou ability. It's called Kotoamatsukami, I can enter people's minds and tell them what to do. They won't even realize it, Ryuu-sensei can use that too, but he loves fighting, so he prefers more barbaric methods to make someone do as he wants."

"I see…

Hanzo's son is teaching my son?

Hmph isn't that something…" Kagami smiles proudly,

"Right, I forgot about that." Shisui smiles too.

Tobirama arrived, and his eyes widened seeing what was happening.

'Just as I predicted, it's a stalemate.'

Both Kagami and Shisui had blood dripping from their eyes as they stared at each other with their Mangekyou Sharingan. The damage around the battlefield was still severe, multiple trees were cut down and burned.

Tobirama remembered what he talked about with Kakashi. While they were on their way here.

-----------------

"Kotoamatsukami huh?

It sounds like the exact opposite of Kagami's, even the name resembles it.

Amatsukami, that's the name of his ability.

Once Kagami has eyes on his target, he can implant a false memory and experiences and the target will then act upon that image. And become easier to read or control."

Kakashi's eyes widened,

"Incredible… their resemblance is stunning.

If they fight, they will settle the fight by the first one to run out of chakra.

But in this case, it's most likely going to be Shisui."

"Which is why I need to get to them fast." Kakashi nodded.

----------------

'As I suspected, Kagami's genjutsu is the perfect counter to Shisui's.

Shisui forces someone to do what he says by implanting thoughts and forcing one's will. However, Kagami in the reanimation can continuously use his Mangekyou.

He's stuck implanting the same memory, and this is confusing Shisui's thoughts. If this battle took place while they were both alive, then I'm sure Shisui would beat Kagami in seconds.'

"Hunh…" Shisui held his mouth as blood started spilling.

"Kagami, stop this at once! He's not our enemy!"

"Shadow clone jutsu!"

Tobirama and his clone stabbed Kagami and Shisui in their legs to snap them out of their genjutsu.

Kagami blinked twice and then realized what was happening.

"Lord second?"

"He is not our enemy, and I need your help to stop elder brother and Ryuu Uchiha from fighting."

"He's not-" Kagami froze in place.

That split second is all Shisui needed to cast Kotoamatsukami.

Shisui was drenched in sweat, he stood up straight and looked at Kagami.

"You're truly a master of your craft."

"What?!" Tobirama's eyes widened, noticing how quick the genjutsu was.

'That… genjutsu…'

"Lord, second, did Kakashi free you from Danzo's control?"

"No, I freed myself. What did you do to Kagami?"

"I made him believe he's resistant to Danzo's control, this jutsu makes Danzo's control futile… or at least, that's how Ryuu-sensei explained it to me." Tobirama nodded.

'Again, with this Ryuu Uchiha, I keep hearing his name. I mean, he already gave me a respectable impression by opting to fight Hashirama, that Uzumaki girl, and Hanzo himself.'

"Tell me something." Tobirama looked at Shisui.

"Ryuu Uchiha, how do others view him? The villagers, I mean, and other shinobi like Hiruzen.

We don't have too much time, so keep it short."

"Well, I know I can't speak for everyone the way they would, but…

Ryuu-sensei is a hero to everyone, especially to me…

I looked up to him. Even if we don't have such a significant age gap, he inspires me, especially once you know his story and background."

"His story?" He asks curiously,

"Yes, as a kid and sometimes even now, Ryuu-sensei is seen as an Outcast because he's a hybrid of two great clans, he didn't belong anywhere, the clan mistreated him and didn't respect him until he was a hero he put his life on the line multiple times for the village.

Anyway, he wasn't fully accepted into the Uchiha clan as a kid, and he didn't have anywhere else to go, lord third took him in for nearly a year, he always compliments him one way or another. Of course, this didn't settle well with some others, especially his son, Asuma.

Lord Third and Ryuu have had their fights, but Ryuu-sensei is still well-loved and admired.

He was the driving force between Kumogakure and Kirigakure's alliance.

Kumo eventually betrayed Konoha, but that was because sensei was inexperienced in such things, anyway, my point is Ryuu-sensei is a hero, he doesn't even need the title of Hokage to prove it; he is my hero too; he saved my father from dying and he's saved many more.

Even though he denies it sometimes, he is the epitome of the will of fire, a true shinobi."

By the time he finished speaking, Shisui had a fire in his eyes, he ignited a flame within himself.

"He has such a reputation, huh?" A smirk appeared on Tobirama's face.

"It seems the future is in safe hands with him." He mutters.

Whoosh!

Kagami appeared ahead of them.

"Well then, let's not waste time, sensei, Shisui!"

Shisui And Tobirama nodded before running ahead.
