7 (Fight Me!)

'Thwap'

Ron's eyes widened as the baton hit my arm. Instead of my arm shattering like it was supposed to, the baton snapped in half, the metal shards flying into Ron's face, causing him to bleed. The air seemed to shimmer about for a bit, before restoring itself back to normal. I was utterly shocked, the baton didn't even hurt, it was as if a soft pillow had hit my arm instead of metal...

"Kid... Now I'm angry," Yelled Ron, "That was my favorite baton you just broke!" With the blood on his already flushed face, he looked like the devil incarnated. To add to the illusion, he was a scorpion. His tail whipped back and forth, before resting above his head, the tip pointed menacingly at my chest. I scrambled backward, trying to get away.

A pitch black liquid shot out of his mouth, flying towards me and covering me in the oil like substance. I suddenly felt weak, like there was no way out. I gave up trying to get away. Ron slowly stalked towards me, relishing in the fear that I was in. with my mind in disarray, I flopped down, sitting in a lotus position feeling the despair coursing through me. Ron's eyes gleamed as he reached me, picking me up with one hand on my throat, and the other on my left arm.

He raised me up to his tail's barb while babbling about nonsense. I closed my eyes, waiting for death. I felt a pressure on my skin right at my heart. The pressure wasn't much, in fact, it was soft, making me feel bad about dying.

At the moment I thought I breathed my last, I thought 'Wow, what a waste of a life... If only I could see that lady again, maybe then I'll be able to understand what is going on...' A thought struck me like lightning. I opened my eyes, suddenly comprehending the thought.

"Argh! Hmmph! Herrgh!" The sound of struggling reached my ears, suddenly, I was able to breathe a bit. I was still looking up at the ceiling, so I strained my eyes to look down. What I saw was Ron's tail, not able to even scratch my skin, and Ron himself was struggling to push it through. He was tiring at a visible rate, his eyes becoming baggy, the angry light within slowly dimmed into nothing.

After a while, his grip loosened, and he fell backward to the ground with a 'thud' leaving me alive. I looked around, surprised at a sudden glint in my eyes. There shouldn't be anyone there, and if anyone was breathing loudly they would still be covered by Ron's obnoxiously loud snores, but nonetheless, I thought I saw someone with a medallion...

Although I was confused, there wasn't much time before Ron woke up, and I wasn't one to be unafraid of death. Still, I thought, 'He could have some storage device on him that I could loot' Thus, I searched him, first looking in his boots, and slowly working up.

When I got to his hands, I saw that ring he seemed to always wear. It had a crudely drawn dragon coiling around the ring. I decided that if he always wore it, then it must have some use. So I carefully took it off, making sure to not rouse the bear.

'Snork'

"No I don't wanna hun, wanna have some fun rights about now? Hows about a little drink pretty lady?" he mumbled in his sleep, startling me. I decided that if he was awake enough to be able to talk, then I better get moving. I stood up and bounded towards the door, which was a few feet away.

I sneakily opened the creaky door so it wouldn't make a sound. I got ready to bound out the door. I smugly looked back, thinking 'poor guy needs a nap am I right?' almost saying it out loud.

'Hmm, why is it dark all of a sudden?'
