Chapter 16 Genis scripture

Chapter 16 Genis scripture

''Huh? Why am I crying? Why do I suddenly feel so relieved? That sadness is gone.'' Kaile said in between his tears as he tried to wipe them away.

The woman in white brought Kaile into her arms, while patting his head like a child as Kaile cried for the first time since he can remember.

No matter how sad.

No matter how many times he was beaten in the orphanage.

Kaile never shed a tear, let alone cry like this, he was just always filled with endless sadness.

Sadness that now had fully dissipated like a cloud in the wind.

Kaile didn't even realise he was hugging the woman in front of him like a child.

Time passed, Kaile was now sitting down on the edge of the beach bench chair, calming down from crying, the woman in white was standing near the edge of the rooftop looking out into the distance.

Kaile turned his head towards her.

''Why did you call me husband?''

''Because I decided to make you my husband.'' The woman replied in a matter of fact tone.

''But that's not how it works.'' Kaile said, with a chuckle at the end of his words, it's clear he's trying to move on and forget about what happened earlier.

''Really?'' The woman in white said, as she turned around to look at Kaile, she then leaned backwards looking like she wanted to sit on something.

A thin railing black in colour, materialised out of nowhere, it appeared as if it was always there.

The wind blew and her hair danced gently in the wind.

She truly looked stunning at that very moment.

''But I already put down my dowry for our engagement?'' The woman said, as she tilted her head slightly. A small smile dawned on her face, whereas a look of confusion was shown on Kaile's.

''What Dowry?''

''The Genis scripture in your mind.''

''What! So that was you?'' Kaile said in disbelief, just how powerful must one be to do something like that.

''So was the energy you, as well?'' Kaile asked, already knowing the answer, but little did he expect he was going to be even more speechless.

''Umm, I created it just for you.'' She replied cutely. A small smile adorned her slightly blushing face, but she didn't look away like a shy young girl, she's simply too old to act like that.

Kaile's mouth hung open in disbelief.

''Was the scripture created for me as well.'' Kaile couldn't help but ask something silly.

''Of course.'' The woman didn't mind answering. It's been a long time since she has spoken to anyone worthy.

''If that's the case, how come I cannot understand the first line, but some random guy named Tom Flockmen could?''

''That's because I made it so not only would you gain strength, but you would also understand more about your true self as well.'' The woman replied plainly.

''My true self, what do you mean by that?''

''Everybody has a true self, have you heard the phrase? If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.''

Kaile just nodded.

''Precisely, now you understand, anyway, now that you have gotten rid of that sadness in your heart, it should be possible for you to comprehend the fist part of the scripture.'' The woman in white said as she slowly dissipated like a flame being blown out in the wind.

''Wait, where are you going? At least tell me your name'' Kaile said as he stood up abruptly.

''Who are you talking to?'' Kaile heard a voice behind him, turning around, it was only Sophia.

Kaile turned back around to the place the woman disappeared at and finding nobody, Kaile could only sigh.

''No. Nothing, let's go, I have something to say to mom and you'' Kaile said as he urged Sophia back into the house.

''Eleonor.'' Kaile heard Eleonor's voice just before he stepped foot inside the house, causing him to turn around and smile before looking away.

''What are you smiling at? Are you sure you was alone?'' Sophia asked, she is not stupid and can clearly see Kaile is lying to her, but she can't see or hear anyone so she can only ask him again and again.

Kaile didn't reply and just urged her down stairs and into the kitching where Emma was currently.

Kaile's food was nowhere to be seen.

''Are you hungry? I put your food in the fridge.'' Emma said as she got up and walked towards the fridge.

''Yeah thank you.'' Kaile said as he sat down in his usual seat across from Sophia and Emma.

Emma prepared his food in the microwave and then served it to him.

Sophia just watched as Kaile was eating food, she didn't go onto her phone at all.

Kaile took a few bites then stopped after he felt better.

''I have decided to practice the Genis scripture.'' Kaile abruptly said, causing a surprised reaction from Sophia and a nod of approval from Emma.

Sophia, noticing the odd reaction for Emma, asked.

''Mom why aren't' you surprised?''

''Should I be? All he needed was time to see the truth.'' Emma said with a smile.

Little did Emma know this time her superpower would have been wrong, the only way for him to see the truth was to get rid of that lingering sadness in his heart, something Eleonor helped him to do in the end.

Emma sat down and closed her eyes.

Now that Kaile has given his green light, she can view it with peace of mind.

''Hmm, I understand, how fascinating. @$#!%.'' Emma comprehended the Genis scriptures first line.
