"Liu Ji Lian!"
Liu Lian's head turned to the gates as a pompous rich but cute brat appeared, who was he? Her older brother Liu Bo Jing.
She refused to pay any attention to him, so what if he was handsome? She was still Liu Mei's brother. She didn't turn or stand to greet him instead she stared at the book in her hand as if she was righteously studying the useless piece of text. Liu Bo Jing was naturally angry that little sister Liu Lian didn't pay him any attention, when did his Mei Mei become so audacious? He grit his teeth but held back his anger, after today let them see if she was going to continue living comfortably! If everything goes as planed then she will most likely be kicked out of the Liu family or sent away to become a nun.
"Mei Mei, i haven't seen you in such a long time won't you come and greet your older brother?" He forced a sweet smile on his face as he approached her with his fist clenched behind his back.
Older brother my ass! She couldn't even turn to face him! What a disrespectful brat!
Liu Lian briefly turned to look at him and she immediately turned away showing her disgust. His eye twitched.
Audacious! Disrespectful! Her actions has just about driven him over the edge, he wanted nothing more than to strangle her. He just had to wait a little, just a little longer.
"Get us some tea" Liu Bo Jing said harshly to the maid behind him, she hastily nodded and scurried over to the kitchen to get them, he sat himself down across the table she was sitting on. Automatically she turned her back on him and he twitched annoyed, how old was she? 5? Was his sister hallucinating when she said this trash was smarter than before?
The two sat in awkward silence and Mei li's back was drenched in cold sweat. Why was her young miss acting like a spoilt brat!? Didn't she know that young master was the only favoured son!? She really wasn't willing for her young miss to be plotted against!

The young maid hurried back, with some tea and instantly served. Bo Jing picked up his cup and stared at the back of his younger step sister. "What's wrong Mei Mei? Won't you drink any tea?"
She didn't respond immediately, but she soon turned around with an expression saying 'are you stupid or what?' At that instant he suspected that she knew the tea was drugged, he was ready to put the blame on the maid who had served the tea once she noticed it.
"This tea...." she began pausing for suspense.
"I don't like tea, i prefer apple juice....."
What?
"Apple.....juice?" He asked confused, juice? Apple juice?
She nodded cutely, "un, apple juice."
He was a bit taken back, she immediately faced her book and stared stupefied. It wasn't long before he just stood up and left. The servant girl followed him with her head held down, was her young master angry? He must be. No one had just rejected a drink from him with such a stupid reason, it looks like the di missis indeed stupid!
Bo Jing didn't turn back but just kept walking trying desperately to hide the look of amusement on his face, it looked like his Mei Mei wasn't so dumb after all. But he should try and taste this.....apple juice.
Once the two left Mei li immediately approached her young miss, she was completely drenched in cold sweat. If the young master wanted he would report her to the master and she would be punished by being flogged with the rod!
She immediately went on her knees and bowed.
"Young miss please forgive Nubi! Nubi thinks young miss was too straight forward! Nubi is asking young miss to please be more considerate for your safety!" And my life!
Liu Lian looked at Mei li briefly before bursting out in laughter. Mei li was too cute, too innocent, her determined face was especially adorable.
Mei li blushed viciously, what did she do this time?
