8 Forget about your life!

When Liu Bai was done the audience began to clap. Liu Bai turned to Liu Lian, and she bowed slightly.

"Jie Jie was recently given the title of princess, noble and virtuous, please enlighten this nubi by playing this guqin." Liu Bai said pointing at the guqin showing off her exquisite jade like hands to the young masters present drawing herself quite a few supporters.

Liu Lian remained silent smiling, "surely mei mei is joking, you are clearly the best in playing such an instrument."

She raised her glass and Liu Lian followed suit, holding her cup with her thumb in her drink, she used her other sleeve to cover up her mouth as she drank.

As soon as she gulped down the drink she felt her consciousness slip and she collapsed. Only after seeing the frightened face of Liu Bai, did she smirk and fall into a deep sleep.

The guests were all alarmed and rushed to the scene.

"Hold her down!" Zhou lan shouted outraged pointing at Liu Bai.

"Your highness-!" Her mouth was stuffed with a handkerchief.

"Call a Doctor! If anything happens to Liu Lian forget about keeping your head!" Zhou Lan shouted. Liu Bai was so scared. She just gave Liu Lian a slow acting poison! Why did she suddenly faint!?
