#1 Genesis Jones

I am walking on the hill surrounded by kids. We are bumping into each other because the road is barely big enough for one car to go through and there are at least 300 of us if not more. I was thinking about running off but police officers are walking with us so that isn't optional. It is the middle of summer which isn't helping at all. Sun is shining like someone put us under a massive flashlight and there aren't any clouds on the horizon. Even though we've been walking for only 40 minutes some had mild heat strokes. In the beginning, there was a blue curly boy, I am guessing he has only six years and he is also very small and tiny so I am not shocked. There was also one redhead girl, around my age but her body size is seemingly smaller than mine. In the last year, I've built some muscle, got stronger and more flexible. I've had to do it. I've had no choice.

I raised my head to see where we are heading. The first thing that catches my eye was a huge white building on my left. In front are around 20 military and police vehicles with four soldiers guarding the entrance. Assuming by the number of vehicles and guards they secured this place on the highest level possible. One police officer stops at the begging on the line and put hands in the air to signalize us to stop too and pay attention.

" When you walk through this door... he says while showing the door behind him with his hand ...you will go to your right where you will see a woman sitting at the desk. You will stand in one line in front of the desk and when is your turn you give information she asks for. Any questions? "

No one dears to speak up. And it is not because we aren't confused, we are, quite a lot, it is because we are scared, scared to death.

" No? " he asks again to be sure.

" Okay, then let's go. "

As we started moving again in the corner of my eye I saw something white so I glanced to see what it is. It is a small recording camera. On instinct, I looked on the other side to check if there is another one, and it surely is. I was staring a few seconds in that camera before I moved my head in a straight position so I could see where I am walking. In the front were there stairs, some straight concrete and then gray, heavy, two way dors. Guards were holding those doors for us so we could go in smoother. The reason is likely to be finished as soon as possible. When there were only a few kids in front of me I was able to properly see what is going on. As the police officer said, there is a woman sitting at the small, wooden table. She has a bunch of papers in front of her on which she was writing non-stop, she didn't even look up to see the kid in front. She has dark brown, almost black hair, tied up in a bun. I wasn't able to see her face because she was constantly leaning and writing. It was my turn and she wasn't wasting any time.

" Your name and age, please? "

I got surprised, not by her harsh, deep voice but because she said please. I would never expect it, especially with her stiff and professional sitting and that voice. I didn't answer immediately so she looked up at me and asked again.

" Your name and age, please? " with a louder, more dominant tone

Her face is longer than typical, the same goes for her nose and her thin lips. She has red rimless glasses. She also didn't fully look up at me, only through her lashes. That type of stare freezes you in place so this time I answered immediately.

" Genesis Jones, 16. "

She wrote the information on the paper and said:

" You can join the rest. "
