6 Chapter 5

Loyalty and truth preserve the king, And he upholds his throne by righteousness

And if a king judges the poor with truth, His throne will be established forever

These are the values of a king who rules

Hyuga clan, let me see your king

.

.

.

The young Hyuga slides a shoji door open, revealing a familiar man sitting in silence with his eyes closed. I see. The man that night was the clan head. it's only reasonable that the strongest Hyuga wouldn't trust anyone but himself to save his kidnapped daughter.

Looking around, I see next to the strongest are a few elderly men. Likely his advisors, with high positions within the clan.

I walk in at a leisurely pace not fearful but not in a rush either. I take a seat opposite the Hyuga leader casually with a child-like plop onto the floor. When facing a king one must have an imposing attitude or else you'll be swept away by the pressure. I break a small smirk, giving an air of arrogance.

"So a clan head huh?" I break the silence

The elder to his left becomes noticeably irritated about my attitude but before he can say anything the clan head raises his hand, stopping them without a word being said.

This is the privilege of being the leader of a clan and most of all being strong. People stop and move at the wave of your hand, but most of all is the strength that a true leader emanates.

This man has strength, of course someone sensitive to that kind of thing like me can feel it.

The clan head opens his eyes

"Thank you for saving my daughter" He lowers his head and says

Eh?

An earnest one. That's rare amongst stern-looking leaders like him

But I keep my composure, the reason being? A clan head wields all kinds of resources including intelligence, most likely one of the reasons he's thanking me so openly is that he already knows all about me, unfortunately, that doesn't go both ways.

"Thanking me's good and all but you should at least show sincerity" I arrogantly say

A younger man sitting near one of the elders, probably an assistant, coughed to announce his presence and opened with.

"We know of your situation, As a show of gratitude from our clan we are happy to give you financial support until you become a shinobi," He said almost as if he were reciting a script

This is becoming annoying, they're not treating like a 3-year-old but a 10-year-old instead. I already prepared for such a situation, unfortunately, the clan head looks like he was expecting this to happen and waiting to see my response.

Damn it, As expected of the head of the Hyuga clan, it won't be clean. He's definitely not gonna let me leave here without a fight. Should I have not revealed my intentions so quickly? No, a 3-year-old killing a full-grown shinobi is already outside of the norm.

Fine it can't be helped, if you want a mess I'll give you a mess, I apologise for my rudeness

"So is that how much the princess of the Hyuga clan is worth," I say emotionlessly in a quiet voice

"What!!", the young man exclaimed as appeared shocked at what I said.

"How dare you, do you think this is your playground!!", the man yelled, this time bearing killing intent.

I looked around at the elders and the clan head being unresponsive to his outburst. Although I was sweating at the killing intent of a full-grown shinobi being directed at me, I realised from the reactions from the seniors that this is likely an act to test me.

You're really giving me the third degree here, damn, don't you think it's childish to prod such a young kid in this way.

This time I look at the clan head directly and talk

" I want three things," I say as I put up my three tiny fingers.

"One, a house of residence, which includes a training ground and a stream of funds being sent to it to support my day to day living and any purchases I make on my path to be a shinobi"

"Two, Access to archives of Jutsu, from in and out of the village"

"Three, Deal with a little bureaucratic matter for me in the future"

After speaking out my demands, I stand up to leave, nothing more needs to be said or else it'll be benefiting the Hyuga clan and not me.

Although I'll definitely get something out of this, In actuality I'm running away with my tail between my legs.

Damn it, is this just the lamenting of the weak, Although I got lucky this time to obtain such an opportunity, it feels no different from begging.

One day, I'll be strong

Strong enough to not rely on external sources

Strong enough to obtain the world with my own two hands

One day damn it, just you watch
