17 Chapter 16

Before Kakashi could even give the go sign, Naruto unholstered his kunai from his leg and charged straight at Kakashi.

Sasuke gasps softly and even I get surprised about the sudden change in events.

Naruto suddenly stops moving and his kunai which was once pointed at Kakashi was pointed at the back of his head with his hand still holding onto it.

So fast. I blinked for a second and Kakashi was already behind Naruto

This is the strength of a Jonin, enough to toy with mere academy graduates.

I couldn't even see his movement let alone Naruto who was within his grasp. Judging by Sasuke's reaction he couldn't see it either.

Which begs the question, how on earth are we supposed to get those bells

I take a step back, Sasuke does the same

"Don't be so hasty. I didn't say start yet" Kakashi says in a mellow voice

His confidence is definitely not unwarranted.

"But that's fine. At least you came with the intent to kill me" he comments while giving a light-hearted chuckle

"How can I put this? I feel like I'm finally starting to like you guys" he says sending a chill down our backs

Damn it, forget about these two, none of us will pass at this rate.

Without giving us a second to think he starts the trial

"We're going to start, ready..... Start!" he announces

Within a second the three of us scatter in our own directions.

Hidden in a tree about a few hundred metres away from where we started, I look at Kakashi still standing in the same spot, As if he was giving us a head start.

Sasuke was also hidden not to far off. Under the leaves and foliage only visible to myself.

But as if Naruto didn't get the memo, he stood only a mere ten metres of from Kakashi in plain sight, crossing his arms in an imposing manner.

"Alright, Lets face of fair and square!!" Naruto said exploding in energy

If the two of us weren't intending to be hidden we would of facepalmed so loud that the entire village could hear it.

Almost like Naruto didn't understand the implications behind being a shinobi he declared a one on one duel with Kakashi our Jonin examiner

"you're a bit of a weird one" Kakshi off handedly comments

"the only thing weird is your hairstyle" Naruto replies taking that comment as accepting his duel

With no words left to say, Naruto charged forward with the tenacity of a bull

Kakashi puts his hand in his ninja tool bag causing Naruto to halt and observe what tool he'll bring out.

Seeing Naruto in fear of whats to come Kakashi starts talking

"Shinobi Battle techniques part one, Taijutsu" he says with his hand still grabbing something in his tool bag

Realising that he'll have to engage in hand to hand combat Naruto braces his body.

As Kakashi pulls out his hand dramatically he hold a copy of a book called Make out Paradise.

The action itself stuns Naruto but I understand in order to enrage and demean a target that he could beat with a single finger to teach him a lesson in controlling his abrupt nature and sponatneous decision making. Kakashi decided to prod Naruto a bit

Either that or he really wanted to read that book and still doesn't need to look over to beat Naruto

Whichever answer it is, Jonin Kakashi is still quite the imposing shinobi

"whats the matter? why don't you come after me?" He says, still belittling Naruto

"but.. hey whats with the book" Naruto asks inqusitively

"why do you ask? It's because I was curious what happens next. Don't worry, with you guys as opponents it makes no difference if I'm reading or not" Kakashi says with his face stuck in the book

Hearing this Naruto clenches his fist in anger and continues to charge at Kakashi yelling

"I'm going to rip you apart!!"

Naruto leaps to punch Kakashi but he blocks without even looking up from his book. NAruto continues to drop low into a spin kick which was easily dodged by him dropping dwon.

I don't see a world where Naruto will win against Kakashi alone.

Watching Naruto go back and forth with Kakashi for half an hour he tried many things, whether Shuriken, shadow clone, ambush none of them worked.

Watching Naruto be tied up in defeat as he had fallen for Kakashi's rope trap being lectured

"Don't get caught up in an obvious trap, you fool" Kakashi lectured

But in the moment he was being lectured a glint flashed in Sasuke's eye, he saw an opportunity to attack.

When I see the look in his eyes, a subtle trace of panic ensues in me. No that's too easy Sasuke, I think trying to internally warn. When Kakashi was lecturing Naruto he was also talking to us. Letting his guard down when talking to Naruto is a hundred percent a trap.

But before I could Inform Sasuke, a volley of kunai and shuriken were thrown out heading towards Kakashi.

Damn it, this Jonin is too strong, too experienced, he may as well be toying with a couple of house cats.
