Chapter 1- West testing facility and it's unexpected visitor

After Yuji and Erina separated, Yuji went to the facility he was assigned to, on the West side of the school.

The west testing facility was a big rectangular building built right beside the school's main hallway, leading to other parts of the school. The building seems to have been made to be able to handle explosions or anything that might be destructive, very befitting for a school that teaches youngsters with possibly destructive abilities.

After some time, Yuji came to the location of the facility.

As Yuji approached the door to the inside of the facility, he started hearing gossips.

"Hey, it's "That" guy,"

"the one with no benefits from being injected whatsoever?"

"I pity him, he must be getting picked on every now and then,"

"It's best we stay away,"

Yuji let out a sigh, "it's just that my ability only makes my immune system stronger, or so the doctor says... it helps me when I get sick but that's basically it, for me, it's nothing but medicine."

With those in thought, Yuji enters the door.

He walked over to a corner with little to no people and waits for the testing to start. while waiting he notices some people's eyes glancing at him every now and then, making Yuji more cautious.

"Alright everyone, let's get started, " the advisor said as she walked over to the students one by one, performing the ability check, by making a student inject a certain amount of serum into their bodies and make them activate their ability.

"remember one injection is equivalent to 3 shots, " the advisor explains, "and as you already know injecting yourself more than three times a day can be dangerous to your health,".

"then teacher..." said by a random person in the facility, "what will happen if someone with NO ability gets injected more than three times?" obviously taunting Yuji as the random person stares at him.

Yuji glanced away.

"Stop that," the teacher said, "it wouldn't be any different, too much of the serum, no matter the circumstances, can put you in danger,"

"oooh, I see", obviously not caring about the answer, he closed his eyes and nodded.

"I'm going to have to watch out for that guy..." Yuji thought.

As time passes, several people who were done being tested left the facility by the door leading to the main hallways of the school.

"I could've gotten in here from there, but I didn't want to get picked on by other passing students, " Yuji thought.

suddenly, a what seems to be like an earthquake occurred, shaking everyone in the facility, knocking people down to their feet.

"Huh!?"

"Woah!"

"What's going on!?"

"Aaahh!"

"WHAT THE!?" Yuji responded, after the seemingly earthquake occurrence, leaving only a student in the center of the facility and the adviser, as well as Yuji, who was standing by a corner where no one sees, still standing on their feet.

"I guess I used a bit too much," the red-haired student in the center said, smirking.

"Well, seems like you're still as good as you are, " the teacher said.

the student had thick red-colored hair with an average height of almost the same as Yuji.

Suddenly, noises from the small crowd that's left inside of the facility slowly began.

"Woah, did he do that? " "he must be a high tier class..."

As the students who fell down stood up admiring the person on the center, there was one girl whose attention wasn't on the red-haired student.

"that guy..." the girl said, standing up from the floor, "he didn't fell down like the rest of us did."

"Huh? who," the other girl besides her asked.

"there that guy," pointing at Yuji

"huh, the weakling?"

Yuji was the only one at the far corner of the facility, far from the person of attention, so nobody else saw him.

Because of the situation, Yuji's attention was also focused on the person at the center.

"That was... a high tier ability" Yuji was surprised to have witnessed the ability of another high tier, which was very few at their school.

"so, he's also a high tier..." Yuji whispered, "unlike Erina, his ability is completely different, yet they're both really extraordinary, no it's beyond that, that was just... unnatural, " Yuji couldn't find the word to describe the abilities of the high tiers he had seen so far.

then after a few minutes, the testing resumed.

"For some reason, the scanning for the red-haired student took longer than the others," Yuji thought,

"is it because of the class difference?".

"Ok the next is...Mr. Yuji Amanda," the teacher said.

"Huh?" Yuji said, being in shock, "I know I registered later than everyone so that I would be last when everyone's done," Yuji looks at the five people left in the facility and among them is the guy who was taunting him earlier.

"you mean these five people registered even later than I did?? how long did they take?"

Yuji looked at the five people who were left.

There were two girls, one had a ponytail and one had thick and long hair, and there were two other guys besides the red-haired person, one who was a dark-skinned student with an afro hair, and the other one was a grumpy sour-faced student.

"What are you looking at!?" said by the sour-faced student who was taunting him earlier.

Yuji quickly turned his glance away and headed towards the teacher's direction.

"Please inject yourself, " the teacher asked Yuji, handing him his syringe filled with the serum.

all Yuji must do is inject the syringe anywhere in his body and press the button at the back of the syringe. The syringe then automatically injects a certain amount of serum which will be counted as one shot, one syringe is capable of 3 shots.

the teacher's tablet then chimed telling that the scan was complete.

Yuji's scan was the fastest among the students who were already scanned.

"hmmm... this is quite an unusual ability," the teacher said in response, "you're not going to do anything stupid with this ability won't you?"

the teacher asks.

"Of course not..." Yuji replied, "how could I?"

"I see... I guess I understand the reason why people think you don't have an ability," the teacher said.

As the teacher was about to call out another student for testing, a loud sound suddenly emerged from the door leading to the halls.

"SOMEBODY! ANYONE!" an unknown female screamed from a distance as if she was searching for help.

As the sound of fast footsteps came closer, the door suddenly got slammed open.

"YES! People!" the female student said, trying to catch her breath.

Everyone was confused and shocked when they saw the female student come crashing into the facility.

She came from the main hall where most students form the facility took their exit. She was a female student with long goofy hair due to her running, besides her hair, her uniform was all wrinkled and had stains on her skirt.

"Wait, is that… Blood!?" Yuji whispered to himself.

"No... No way, I must be misunderstanding things..."

"Everyone!" finally catching her breath, she raised her head as someone else approached her from the back.

The light coming from the hallway made it hard to see whoever was behind her.

"Everyone, we need to leave Now!"

As she said that, Yuji's face suddenly went pale, realizing that the stain on her skirt was not a misconception, it was clear red blood. And the reason for Yuji's realization was because the unknown person they saw behind her, came close enough for Yuji to see clearly.

"It's... not a human..." Yuji thought.

When Yuji realized this, he quickly intakes a large amount of air and tried to scream "WATCH OUT!" But before he could, the first scream they heard was...

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" the loud scream of pain and agony from the girl wraps the entire facility, shocking all the people who were inside, filling them with fear and confusion.

The body of the female student fell down on the ground, covering the floor with blood, as they manage to take a good look at what was the entity that killed her.

"A... Akuma..." Yuji said in a plain yet surprised manner.

The Akuma had an old dirty shirt with ripped holes at the back, messy wrinkled jeans, and an overgrown flesh and veins on the right side of its head

"WHAT THE HECK!?" Said by the student with an afro hair in complete shock, "WHY IS AN AKUMA HERE!?"

As everyone in the room was filled with fear and confusion, Yuji regained his composure and assessed the situation.

"Everyone, keep it together!" Yuji said while running towards the middle of the grouped people.

"Heh... it's just an Akuma, we were going to have to kill one someday anyways," the sour-faced student said with sudden confidence, " I'm going to the right and attack it, I just injected myself so I guess one shot at the head would be enough..."

"Right, I'm going to the left just in case," said the red-haired student.

"No something is wrong, think for a second!" Yuji said, trying to warn everyone " for now stick together it won't be able to have a successful attack if everyone is together on alert," Yuji explained

"Shut up weakling!" the sour-faced student said, "you just want somebody to protect you, and guess what, no one is going to do that!"

As the sour-faced student said that, the Akuma suddenly moved really fast attacking the red-haired student who also separated from the group.

"Ah!" the red hair student manages to catch both hands of the Akuma which clearly tried to grab him.

"though it's shocking that it's this fast...I can definitely overpower it!" The red hair student said while pushing the Akuma's arms.

"wait if it's that fast why was it so slow earlier?" Yuji said, trying to figure out what's wrong, "Akumas are bloodthirsty creatures filled with nothing but blood lust, especially low classes, while..." Yuji suddenly got a realization and tried to warn the others about his realization.

"Don't!" as Yuji tries to finish his sentence, the sour-faced student quickly dashed forward aiming his fist at the Akumas head.

"true, even without a weapon, a mid-class student can punch an Akuma's head and leave it immobile for a while," Yuji thought.

"But only if it's a low class..."

The sour-faced student quickly got near the Akuma and then...

Stab*

Everyone was shocked by the image and realization of what was happening.

As blood drips down to the floor, they knew they were facing a bigger problem than they thought.

The red hair student released the Akumas arm and quickly dashed a few steps back, returning to the group of people, and saw the full picture.

the sour-faced man was stabbed through the chest, by what seemed to be a sharpened flesh with a reddish color coming from the back of the Akuma.

"huh... no way..." said the red-hair student.

Everyone was shocked by the events.

The first death they saw made them realize that an Akuma has entered their school, and the second death made them realize it was not just a simple Akuma. With these thoughts, Yuji again regains his composure and assessed the situation thoroughly.
